We are just completing our last 24 hours in this incredible home. We cannot recommend this house and it's location enough. We easily were able to skip on down or up the road to Zion and Bryce. The house is right off of the 89 and thus makes it so darn simple to get to all of the parks/monuments in southern Utah. The house was amazing...my husband was at a loss for words upon first entering the "GREAT" room. He usually has one or more complaints about the rentals I secure for our trips...not with this house. We both just kept going on and on about the view from all windows and when I say all windows I mean it as there are windows in every single square foot of this house. We were so impressed with the house and the surrounding area that we looked into possibly buying a vacation home, but since we live in southern California; we are not sure we would use the home enough. This has been one memorable trip and the lovely home added to and enhanced our vacation experience immensely.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I am so glad we accidentally stumbled across this cabin and decided to book. The booking process was as easy as could be. Responses were quick and contract was simple. The kitchen was stocked with every thing we could need (except for a working can opener which I think I read in another review and forgot to bring ours). 2 rolls of TP were provided per bathroom which was fine for the two of us for 5 days but if you are planning on staying longer with more people, bring more. Washer and dryer worked great! Plenty of towels for kitchen and bathrooms provided. Fireplace in master bedroom was delightful! The view was great from every room in the house. I do wish there were window coverings in at least the bedroom and bathroom because we felt a bit exposed but I don't think anyone could see in since the cabin was so far from the road. There also wasn't an ice maker but when it was 12 degrees out all we could think about was hot tea... not ice, so it wasn't a problem for us. Not having direct TV in the master bedroom was not a problem for me but for my husband who needs to fall asleep to TV he was bummed. The closest "big" city we found was Cedar City and you MUST go eat at Centro Woodfired Pizzeria there. It's about an hour drive and worth every bite. The gas station on the corner has most things but we also found a great little grocery store in Orderville, Terry's Food & Drug. We went to Bryce and Zion and they were both AMAZING! Bryce was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! We can't wait to come back in the summer!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay at our cabin. I am so glad that you enjoyed the beauty as much as we do. That is in fact why we do not have window coverings on most of the windows so that it does not take away from the view. The cabin is located in a remote area and you will not have to worry about other people seeing you. I apologize that the can opener did not work very well...we did replace it since we were told that it didn't work well before. We will definitely be getting "another" one. The TV in the master bedroom was a new addition that we added to the cabin a week prior to this arrival. I apologize that we were unable to provide you Direct TV for your stay in the master bedroom however, it is now added and ready for the next renters. Due to several water problems that we have had with renters and the ice maker we will be offering complementary ice bags at our Chevron station 1/2 mile away.

This was a Beautiful Home and very comfortable. Very clean, nicely decorated. Although we were looking forward to being away from it all, this home sits about 1000' from state hwy 89. The noise from the cars and trucks was really annoying and gave the feeling when outside you really weren't away from it all. The noise couldn't be heard from inside, but we wanted to sit out and enjoy the view, wildlife and thunderstorms. We just got the traffic noise to go along with itl, granted this stretch of Hwy is not highly traveled and after about 8PM almost no one drove on it. The Ice Maker was still OS as in pervious posts, but the dishwasher broke the day before we arrived and there was a repairman to fix as soon as we arrived. The place is in need of a modern, working can opener, so bring your own if your gonna open more than on can. There was also no cutting board, but the owner did bring by a small 10" x 10" that didn't really help when cutting a roast and ribs. There are also no window coverings on any of the bedroom and living area windows, which is not a big deal because of the hill top location and I didn't care to close off the views, it does cut your morning sleep at sunrise. All in all, this was a wonderful place and aside from the noise when your outdoors from traffic and the minor need of some kitchen necessities mentioned we would have given this one 5 stars. The location is excellent to all the sites and activites in the area, Bryce Cyn NP and Zion NP. Panguitch Lake, and Severe River for fishing. This was are main reason for the stay at this location. That fact that Deer and Elk walked up the house at all hours of the day was an added bonus. The contact I had with the property owner/manager was always prompt and courtious. Reservations and paymnet was a breeze, so no problems there.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We have rented many vacation rentals, and this home has become our gold standard. This is a long review, but it has info that might be helpful in choosing a vacation rental. I highly recommend renting this home. It is beautiful, clean, spacious, comfortable and with the perfect layout. After a long day of hiking/visiting Bryce, we could kick off our dusty shoes in either the garage or in the mud room. Since the mud room is the first room from the garage, we could hang our hats and coats, drop our gear, throw our dirty clothes directly into the laundry, which is adjacent to the mud room, and wash up a bit in the 1/2 bath, which is also next to the mud room. The kids would bath in the spacious tub/shower, then comfortably recline in the couch reclincers in the living room. We saw deer and baby rabbits nearly everyday, which was a delight for the kids. The adults appreciated the privacy and the beautiful view. It was quiet and relaxing, and the stars shined brightly because there is very little light pollution in the area. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook, is not always the case in vacation rentals. We did not have to be creative to make do with what was present, and the knives were sharp, which every cook appreciates. There was plenty of space to put things away. The owners were very helpful, very nice and responsive. We felt like we were living in a dream home. When we come back to visit Bryce and Zion, we will stay here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

In June we had a group of 21 travelers leave the heat in Houston to journey to the Bryce Zion area. We rented 3 homes (this was one of the homes) from this owner to accommodate our group and leave plenty of space for everyone. Below you will find everyone's comments. As the person in charge of the trip I can say that the owner was very easy to work with and took time with us. There was a slight maintenance problem while we were there and it was resolved immediately, very impressive! Here's what our group had to say: "beautiful, beautiful luxury lodgings!" "peaceful, beautiful and plenty of space" "incredible value" "peaceful, comfortable, want to come back here every year!!" "This is exactly what I was hoping for for this trip" "I travel quite a bit and use VRBO consistently. Once again we have gotten more value for our travel dollar. Will certainly come back to these accommodations again."Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

5 adults stayed in this house for 2 weeks. The first week was rocky. We were not informed the ice maker didn't work and ended up with a lot of water on the kitchen floor to clean up. The Direct TV didn't work and it took a couple of days for someone to come and fix it (and then we were told, I believe from the son-in-law of the owner that it hadn't been working correctly for a couple of weeks so not sure why it hadn't been fixed prior to our arrival), There was a leak in the garage which we thought was coming out of the freezer which we told the owner about when he was over to fix the TV. The next day there was more water in the garage and we noticed the drywall was wet and starting to bubble so we had to contact the owner again. He came over and had to knock out drywall to get to the the leak and came back the next day to clean up the mess. Then after a day of hiking the 5 of us came back sweaty and grimy wanting nothing more than to take a hot shower when we discovered there was no hot water (couldn't run the dishwasher either). The pilot light on the water heater was out and didn't get fixed until the next morning even though we called the "emergency" number. We were starting to have misgivings about our choice in staying here. The 2nd week was uneventful (except for the electricity that went out for about 5 hours one night and the internet being down for a couple of hours one day) and we didn't have to make any more phone calls or send out any more e-mails. It is in a great location and we really enjoyed Red Canyon which is closer than Bryce and Zion. To get to the visitor's center in Zion and the shuttle buses from the house it takes close to 1.5 hours and not 45 min since you have to drive all the way through Zion to get to the Visitor's Center. We also visited Arches National Park, Cedar Breaks and Lake Powell. If not for all the mishaps I would have rated the house an excellent. Great grill and patio out back and saw lots of mule deer and even a coyote in the backyard. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Ate in all but one night while we were here.Owner response: As home owners we do our best to accommodate our renters(as mentioned in other reviews). We do appreciate all feedback to help us improve the stay for future renters. With every home there are unforeseen issues that arise and not too often do they happen at the same time. In response to this review we had high winds for a few days that caused internet outages and the county had a scheduled power outage from 12am- 5am that was unknown to us. The high winds altered the satellite on the roof; therefore, the renters were not able to view some channels. The previous renter mentioned that they were having trouble viewing some channels but, through resetting the Direct Box they told us that the problem was fixed. Besides the fridge ice maker, the property has an under the counter built in ice maker that was not working and the out of order sign was not placed on the machine to for warn the renters before they arrived. We are waiting on a part to fix the extra ice maker. There has never been a problem with the pilot light going out on the hot water heater in the past. In the event that something like this happens we can be contacted during most hours of the day on the emergency number. In this situation we were contacted after we had gone to bed and did not get the message until 7am and we were at the property by 8am to fix the problem. In 3 years of renting our home we have never had this many small issues in one stay. We do our best to keep the property well maintained to make your vacation very comfortable and memorable for you and your family!

Happy memories: Watching deers grazing in the backyard, laying on the twin bed stargazing at Big Dipper framed by the bedroom window, stargazing outside the house around 2AM(?) and glad I did it because it got cloudy the next night, big smiles on everyone’s faces … We stayed at this beautiful vacation cabin on our road trip to Zion and Bryce canyons almost exactly four months ago but thinking about it today still brings a smile to my face. This is a spacious, well designed, beautifully landscaped, and beautifully decorated house. It is just off Hwy 89 between Zion and Bryce canyons, very easy to get to and the scenery along 89 was beautiful and the pavement was in great condition. We stayed there from 4/29-5/1. The weather was sunny but cool, great for outdoor activities. Our group of seven consisted of me, my 80-year old mom, my uncle and aunt, their son, his wife and their 2-year old boy. My uncle and aunt are seasoned world travelers and not easily impressed but all of us fell in love with this house the moment we arrived. The owners have great taste and take pride in what they have to offer to the guests. The house was very clean and looks even nicer than in the pictures. We loved everything about the house: the surroundings, the architect, the landscaping, the gourmet kitchen, the spa tub in the master bedroom, … I can go on and on. But a few features that we really liked are: having four different-sized beds ((king, queen, full, twin one each) in three bedrooms allowing all seven of us to sleep comfortably, washer and dryer, two and a half bathrooms, and the spaciousness. We were able to relax and enjoy preparing meals even after a day’s outing. The whole experience was nice from day 1 when Amanda responded to my inquiry in less than half an hour. I was immediately impressed and Amanda remained responsive, pleasant, and helpful before, during, and after our stay. I had many questions and Amanda responded to all of them quickly and patiently with the information I needed. We had a great time and just wished we had stayed a couple more days. I will certainly recommend this listing. I constantly think about returning with friends and family. My next trip will be longer and include “Do-Nothing” days so we can enjoy and relax in this beautiful retreat!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Following a long drive from Grand Canyon, arriving at this house was like reaching an oasis! The house is absolutely gorgeous - tons of space, gorgeous furnishings, beautiful bedlinen, well stocked kitchen (would have loved a kettle though as we are tea drinkers) and a lovely ambience. The bathrooms were fabulous and everyone (4 adults, two kids) had space to spread out and relax. The WiFi was also great. With regard to the location, you do need a car and there are no shops or anything within walking distance, but that is actually part of the appeal! Tod's Country Store had the basics if you needed a quick kitchen re-stock and Tiana at the store was really helpful one day when we needed to call Las Vegas to sort out a problem we had when trying to book Love tickets online. As we're from Australia using our cell phones wasn't an option and Tiana allowed us to use the store phone which we really appreciated. The location right between Zion NP and Bryce Canyon is excellent. We visited both parks and whilst Zion was our preference and we loved Springdale, we felt that the location of this cabin was just perfect. In fact, we loved the drive through the park to reach Springdale and the visitor centre! Coming from Australia it is difficult to gauge the best location, but we really nailed it with this one! I know you can never predict the weather, but we enjoyed amazing winter weather with blue skies, sun and a little snow on the ground and Zion was practically empty - brilliant! After Zion we drove to Las Vegas which was an incredible contrast and the fact that this home is just over a couple of hours from Vegas just adds to its appeal. Loved it so much we're already planning our next trip back - all the way from Australia - need I say more?!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Everything we needed was provided. We enjoyed our stay in your lovely cabin. The location is PERFECT. A word of advice: check road conditions before you venture out. HWY 14 was closed the morning after we arrived by an avalanche and several back-roads were impassable because of a mud slide from the recent snow. But, the weather here and at the national parks was great. Thanks!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful time and loved sightseeing and then returning to this home for the evening. We would highly recommend it. We visited Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Kolob Canyon and Navajo Lake. We even went water rafting in Marysvale, Utah which was about an hour and a half away. This house had eveverything we needed and had such a warm feeling. We just returned from our Utah vacation. This house was fabulous. It is even nicer than the photos show. My husband and I and our two boys lived like royalty all week long and found ourselves completely comfortable. We wanted for nothing. The weather is excellent, when Zion was over 100 degrees this place was in the comfortable mid 80's. The location was wonderfull. Beautiful Zion and Bryce Canyon are a short drive away, along with the Coral Pink Sand dunes and best Friends Animal Sancturary. The Grand Canyon North Rim is an easy day trip. The house was completly private, we napped and hiked and just really enjoyed ourselves. We did a tubing trip in the Virgin River out side of Zion that was very exciting. I would recomed parking and eating in Springdale when you visit Zion. The shuttle will pick you right up there and the parking is easier. Eat at Oscars Cafe, yum. We have fallen in love with Utah and will be back:) This was one of our best family vacations.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We recently spent a week visiting Utah and throughly enjoyed our stay. The "cabin" was perfect for all of our needs. There were five of us traveling together and there was plenty of room to enjoy all of the comforts of home. The pictures on the website really don't do the house justice. I knew that the house looked comfortable, but I was taken back by the beauty and homeliness when we walked in the front door. It was such a pleasure to come back at the end of a long day exploring one of the parks to be able to sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. The weather was perfect the whole week we were there. The house is in a great location for visiting the nearby parks. We were able to visit five national parks while we were there. The house is well maintained and certainly had all the comforts of home. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone traveling to this area of Utah. The rental process was very easy and we hope to be able to return someday.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I visited the SW Utah in mid-Sept celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The home amenities are exactly as described and much prettier in person. We enjoyed a wonderful week enjoying the home, and beautiful parks in the area. We visited Zion, Bryce Canyon, Red Canyon, Cedar Breaks, North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, & Las Vegas. The house is situated at the crossroads of two accessible highways which a great location to visit the sourrounding areas. We primarily hiked, rode horseback, and soaked up some Utah Vitamin D. We'd come back home exhausted from hiking, grill our evening meal, and enjoy a bottle of wine as the stars popped out. The evening sky is as incredible as the daytime. This is a beautiful area of the country and fabulous home, The owners are very helpful and responsive to questions. We'd highly recommend considering this property. We had a fantastic 17 day vacation in this beautiful house late August. It is so well equiped and comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay - a home from home. From the initial enquiry to our leaving, the service from the very attentive owners was excellent and they were very helpful with advice on the area. We visited all the canyons: Cedar Breaks, Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon as well as an over night trip to Vegas - we were so pleased to get back to the calm and quiet (and cool) of the mountain retreat after that! We loved the Duck Creek area and did a lot of hiking (great trails - very helpful at the Visitor Centre), horse riding and fishing,it is such a beautiful area to explore. We also visited Brianhead for some Mountain Frisbie golf which was great fun. The house is ideally situated for visiting all these places. We loved it all and made good use of the fire pit, enjoyed watching the humming birds and the deer and at night watching the sky for "shooters". It was just perfect.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family enjoyed this beautiful property for its location, large rooms, firm beds, great water pressure, and the VIEW. The snow fall that added to the thick layer already on the ground only added to the delight of these travelers from the South. Fireplaces and TV's were easy to operate, and we enjoyed returning from national parks and snowmobiling to the large garage and the washer/dryer. We would recommend this lovely property to anyone. Great pizza and homemade pies in Duck Creek, too. Our only suggestion would be to add some floor lamps rather than all overheads to the main room to make it cozier.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful mountain home during the last week of December. The snow was great and our kids had a blast sledding and playing outside. We were very happy with the accommodations and had plenty of room for our family of six. The home feels spacious and has beautiful, comfortable decor. It was easy to prepare meals in the wonderful kitchen. We found the home to be even better in person than in the pictures. The location is convenient and easy to access from the highway. We had a great stay and hope to return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
