STEP BACK IN TIME... THIS OLD MAINE SUMMER COTTAGE sits up high on the rugged shoreline of Westport Island overlooking Islands in the Sheepscot Bay, working Lobster Boats, Harbor Seals on the ledges in front and out to Hendriks Head Lighthouse and the open Ocean beyond..WEDDINGS or special events for up to 75 guests are our Specialty!
The cottage was built in the early 1800's and has been tastefully restored for comfort. There is central heat for the foggy damp days. It is surrounded by Stone Walls and has three private acres and 800 feet of DEEP-WATER frontage which makes it the ideal family reunion or wedding spot......Pick your month!...Lilacs in May, Salt Spray Roses in June, Old Maine cottage Lillys in July or Blackberries in August....And you can order your LOBSTERS fresh off the Boat of the Lobsterman's coop on the Island!
There is a shoreline path that takes you to a private point and deep-water dock, which overlooks a small and active cove. A deep-water mooring is available in the cove, and will hold up to a 32 foot Boat.
Westport Island is a 2 by 12 mile undiscovered "jewel" connected to the mainland by bridge. It is 9.8 miles down off route one to the door of the Cottage, which makes it an easy commute to all of the activities and attractions that the Beautiful Mid Coast and Boothbay Harbor area of Maine has to offer.
