Welcome to this beautiful Log Cabin Retreat! This rental home is located in the mountains of Montana just minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
This 3 bedroom/2.5 bath cabin offers spectacular mountain views with easy access to Hebgen Lake and the mountains of Gallatin National Forest. Walk in through the log-dormer entry, then find a large living room/dining room area that looks into a beautifully appointed full-size kitchen. The kitchen has high quality, quiet appliances, including a side-by-side refrigerator, granite countertops and all the amenities you'll need for creating a culinary delight! There is a communal 1/2 bath just off of the living room. The Master Bedroom is also on the main floor, and has a Queen sized bed, TV, and a full bathroom, including a tub and shower. Head downstairs to the spacious family room with a 27" big-screen TV and big, comfy sofa-sleeper couch and love seat. This area also has a large office desk and chair, perfect for doing business on the road. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a twin and a bunk bed, along with a shared full bathroom.
The 2000sf cabin was constructed in 2005 and has all the features expected in a modern home including laundry facilities, wireless internet, and satellite TV with DVD. It has three bedrooms and two large family gathering rooms, each with two large couches and two smaller couches. The home has beds for up to 9 people, but is most comfortable with 6-7. We also have other homes and condominium units available nearby and can combine properties to accommodate larger groups.
The cabin is accessible by paved road but sits in a secluded area on the Horse Butte peninsula of Hebgen Lake, which is nine miles outside the town of West Yellowstone and the western entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It is located in a small, quiet subdivision that is surrounded by Forest Service land. The two main arms of Hebgen lake, with boat ramps and beaches, are within 1.5 miles either way. All of the Park's animals also travel through the area and live on the peninsula, so it is not uncommon (depending on time of year) to see bison, elk, moose, bear, fox, wolves, eagles and many other animals nearby. Groomed Forest Service snowmobile trails are less than a mile from the door in winter. Cross country skiing, and some of the best "crust cruising" to be found anywhere are right out the front door.
The area offers easy access to Yellowstone Park and the thousands of acres of surrounding Forest service lands. The Gallatin National Forest offers abundant wildlife and hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling trails, along with spectacular mountain lakes and rivers that create a myriad of fishing and boating opportunities. The town of West Yellowstone has its own charms, with both summer and wintertime activities, theaters, dining, shopping, outdoor and wildlife educational programs, the Rendezvous ski trails, and a museum.

We really enjoyed our stay in May 2010 in your gorgeous Cozy Log Cabin. Everything was as promised and the views were spectacular! Your cabin is lovingly decorated and everything worked well. We had six fun, full days in Yellowstone. On the seventh day our adult children went fishing and enjoyed it...while my husband and I stayed in and enjoyed your cabin and the buffalo! So much fun! We appreciated the modern kitchen and great dining area, too. Lots of room for us all to make sandwiches and pack for the days' activities. I know we saved money on all our meals by staying at your cabin. I would highly recommend your home to anyone wanting a beautiful, clean and cozy cabin for their Yellowstone family vacation. Thank you for making it available to us!

Peace, quiet, balance, relaxation - All words to describe my stay at the Cozy Cabin. At minute one of arrival, it felt like home. This is our first use of a Home Away property, and it was quite unexpected just how happy we would be with our stay. My wife, 2 kids and my parents all went on this vacation in order to see Yellowstone. The Cabin was everything and more that we thought it would be. The pictures do not do it justice, I woke up early to watch the sunrise through the sliding glass door, and watced the sunset every evening. Everything went outstanding. After lookiing at other properties after we arrived, we knew we had the best one. After browsing West Yellowstone, we knew the apartments and other condos just would not have compared to our stay at the CC. We want to go back, we will book this cabin again. BOOK THIS CABIN, do not look at other properties! You will not be disappointed! Sadly I'm back in Texas wishing I were in that little cabin today looking at the mountains. Thank you again to the owners and Debbie/crew for the accomodations.

I had been to West Yellowstone once before to snowmobile and always said, my next trip will include my family. Rather than staying in a hotel, we looked online and found this cabin. We (6 adults and 3 grandkids) spent 7 days at the cabin snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snow tubing and sight seeing. The accommendations were just as advertised. The cabin was great! In fact 2 of our grandkids cried when it was time to leave. Debbie & David did a great job of answering all our questions. I am sure it is beautiful in the summer. Yet, it is even more beautiful in the winter. Would highly recommend this cabin.

We stayed over the 4th of July and had a great time....the house is very nice, cozy, and enjoyable for sure. We had 8 people total (4 adults and 4 kids)...everyone had a great time and got to enjoy cooking meals together and visiting. Close to town and to yellowstone, yet secluded enough to be away from it all! Debbie and David were nothing but considerate and mindful of our needs - thanks so much for the kayaking trip as well! My family spent the weekend here and the cabin was AWESOME! My son kept on insisting to just stay in the cabin because it was so comfy. Though it was raining on our 2nd day, it's nice to come back to a cabin that caters to your every need,very clean and have comfy beds to sleep on. The details posted by owners Debbie & David were very accurate as well as the pictures. Don't worry about not seeing any pictures on summer because it's as beautiful as winter without the snow of course! Thanks for everything Debbie & David! I hope we can come back soon!

Hi, we sadly left your cabin yesterday and want to thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It was the perfect vacation. We enjoyed each and every moment of the time that we were in your cabin. We went into the Tetons or Yellowstone each and every day and it was wonderful to come home to such a relaxing, clean, well equipped house. We had everything that we possibly could have wanted. We just returned from spending a fantastic week at the "Kozy Kabin". There were 8 of us total, 3 generations, on a family vacation to Yellowstone. This was our first experience renting a vacation home and we will definitely do it again. The cabin was very comfortable and had plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfy! Not that we had that much time in them as we were always on the go. We NEVER had any issues with hot water and the cabin was always at a comfortable temperature. Everything was as decribed in the listing and exceeded our expectations. The only regret we have is not getting to stay longer!!!! Thanks, Debbie and Lava Creek Guides for the wonderful evening kayaking trip. The kids had a wonderful time!!

OUR FAMILY OF FIVE ADULTS AND THREE CHILDREN SPENT A WONDERFUL FIVE NIGHTS IN THE COZY CABIN. Almost finishing our week here in the cabin. Everything was perfect - I don't understand the last review, it must have been a different location. We had two couples here and never had any issues with hot water or ventilation, there are screens in every window. The cabin decor was very tasteful, plenty of room and very comfortable. The hosts are great, the scenery is awesome - plenty of wildlife and a billion stars at night. The cabin was fantastic, I'd buy it tomorrow if my wife would let me. My only complaint is that I can only stay a week this time - but I'll be back! In my opinion, Highly Recommended !!!
