Peace, quiet, balance, relaxation - All words to describe my stay at the Cozy Cabin. At minute one of arrival, it felt like home. This is our first use of a Home Away property, and it was quite unexpected just how happy we would be with our stay. My wife, 2 kids and my parents all went on this vacation in order to see Yellowstone. The Cabin was everything and more that we thought it would be. The pictures do not do it justice, I woke up early to watch the sunrise through the sliding glass door, and watced the sunset every evening. Everything went outstanding. After lookiing at other properties after we arrived, we knew we had the best one. After browsing West Yellowstone, we knew the apartments and other condos just would not have compared to our stay at the CC. We want to go back, we will book this cabin again. BOOK THIS CABIN, do not look at other properties! You will not be disappointed! Sadly I'm back in Texas wishing I were in that little cabin today looking at the mountains. Thank you again to the owners and Debbie/crew for the accomodations.

Great Winter Experience

I had been to West Yellowstone once before to snowmobile and always said, my next trip will include my family. Rather than staying in a hotel, we looked online and found this cabin. We (6 adults and 3 grandkids) spent 7 days at the cabin snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snow tubing and sight seeing. The accommendations were just as advertised. The cabin was great! In fact 2 of our grandkids cried when it was time to leave. Debbie & David did a great job of answering all our questions. I am sure it is beautiful in the summer. Yet, it is even more beautiful in the winter. Would highly recommend this cabin.

My family spent the weekend here and the cabin was AWESOME! My son kept on insisting to just stay in the cabin because it was so comfy. Though it was raining on our 2nd day, it's nice to come back to a cabin that caters to your every need,very clean and have comfy beds to sleep on. The details posted by owners Debbie & David were very accurate as well as the pictures. Don't worry about not seeing any pictures on summer because it's as beautiful as winter without the snow of course! Thanks for everything Debbie & David! I hope we can come back soon!

Hi, we sadly left your cabin yesterday and want to thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It was the perfect vacation. We enjoyed each and every moment of the time that we were in your cabin. We went into the Tetons or Yellowstone each and every day and it was wonderful to come home to such a relaxing, clean, well equipped house. We had everything that we possibly could have wanted. We are now at home looking out our back window and miss the fantastic view of the past week. THANKS

Amazing week at "Kozy Kabin"!!!!

We just returned from spending a fantastic week at the "Kozy Kabin". There were 8 of us total, 3 generations, on a family vacation to Yellowstone. This was our first experience renting a vacation home and we will definitely do it again. The cabin was very comfortable and had plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfy! Not that we had that much time in them as we were always on the go. We NEVER had any issues with hot water and the cabin was always at a comfortable temperature. Everything was as decribed in the listing and exceeded our expectations. The only regret we have is not getting to stay longer!!!! Thanks, Debbie and Lava Creek Guides for the wonderful evening kayaking trip. The kids had a wonderful time!!

COZY CABIN

OUR FAMILY OF FIVE ADULTS AND THREE CHILDREN SPENT A WONDERFUL FIVE NIGHTS IN THE COZY CABIN. WE FOUND EVERYTHING AS ADVERTISED AND HAD A VACATION THAT WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER ESPECIALLY THE CABIN WHERE WE HAD FAMILY BREAKFASTS AND EVENING GET TOGETHERS ALL WITH PLENTY OF ROOM AND LOTS OF FUN. EVERYONE HAD PLENTY OF ROOM IN BEDROOMS, BATHROOMS AND LIVING QUARTERS. THE CABIN WAS NEW AND CLEAN AND EVERYTHING YOU EVER NEEDED WAS PROVIDED.

Amazing cabin in the mountains

Almost finishing our week here in the cabin. Everything was perfect - I don't understand the last review, it must have been a different location. We had two couples here and never had any issues with hot water or ventilation, there are screens in every window. The cabin decor was very tasteful, plenty of room and very comfortable. The hosts are great, the scenery is awesome - plenty of wildlife and a billion stars at night. The cabin was fantastic, I'd buy it tomorrow if my wife would let me. My only complaint is that I can only stay a week this time - but I'll be back! In my opinion, Highly Recommended !!!

We stayed over the 4th of July and had a great time....the house is very nice, cozy, and enjoyable for sure. We had 8 people total (4 adults and 4 kids)...everyone had a great time and got to enjoy cooking meals together and visiting. Close to town and to yellowstone, yet secluded enough to be away from it all! Debbie and David were nothing but considerate and mindful of our needs - thanks so much for the kayaking trip as well! We had no problems whatsoever! Best wishes to you!

terrible experience

This cabin is not as cozy as it described. From outside it looks ok. However, the two bedrooms are down in the basement which is very stuffy. The bedrooms do have windows, but they don't have screens, so if you open the windows, insects are easy to get in. In fact, you can't open the windows, as a lot of insects and spider webs are there, makes you feel very dirty. The worst is it does not supply enough hot water. The water heater was electrical heating one. It can only supply one person for shower and the next one needs to wait for 20 min. But this information was not disclosed before or at lease on the day when we arrived. So we have people stuck in the middle of shower, with shampoo in the head and suffered the cold water. The owner was not very nice. She did not take our phone calls with 4 listing numbers. So we call the emergency number in her message, and finally got a fan to at lease make the basement a little vent. But the second day, the owner was extra unhappy and threaten us for extra charge and to move out right away. She even called the sheriff on the day we were leaving. Come on, who wants to stay in your lousy cabin any longer? I definitly won't recommend this property to anyone. Stay away from this cabin.

Owner response:This property has been rented by over 30 families so far in 2010, and all but one have been very happy with the experience, have spoken highly of the home, and have often mentioned that the description of the property is very accurate, and if anything undersells what the cabin has to offer. As to the “problems” mentioned in the review, I think that this renter will find that most mid-sized US homes, including most of those listed on HomeAway and VRBO, have 50 gallon hot water heaters (and this heater is less than 5 years old). A heater of this size will accommodate 3-4 quick showers or 2 longer showers before needing some time to recover. This renter had 6 people trying to use both showers one after another with no recovery time, and called our maintenance staff at 11PM with an “emergency” when they ran out of hot water. We have a full-time maintenance staff, and they responded to this and other calls from this renter, until she became abusive. We do our best to make our guests comfortable, but we won’t tolerate harassment of our staff. This is the only renter who has described the basement with full daylight windows as “stuffy,” and the home is exceptionally clean, well ventilated, and well kept both inside and out. We have since installed screens on the downstairs windows, in case renters desire to have the downstairs windows open. We also have a well defined checkout time, which we require in order to clean and prepare the property for the next renter during our busy Yellowstone summer rental season. While we often bend over backwards to adjust our schedule for our renters, this renter chose to ignore our check-out time because they were on a “different time zone.” She said they would check out when the time agreed with their home time zone rather than our 10AM Mountain Standard Time requirement. We’ve never had a renter like this one, and we were forced to call the Sherriff because of her family’s rude and inconsiderate behavior and refusal to leave the property in a timely manner. Please call us if you have any questions or concerns about this property. We will give you all the details, both pro and con, and we don’t sugar-coat things because we want this home to be a good fit for you and your family! We really enjoyed our stay in May 2010 in your gorgeous Cozy Log Cabin. Everything was as promised and the views were spectacular! Your cabin is lovingly decorated and everything worked well. We had six fun, full days in Yellowstone. On the seventh day our adult children went fishing and enjoyed it...while my husband and I stayed in and enjoyed your cabin and the buffalo! So much fun! We appreciated the modern kitchen and great dining area, too. Lots of room for us all to make sandwiches and pack for the days' activities. I know we saved money on all our meals by staying at your cabin. I would highly recommend your home to anyone wanting a beautiful, clean and cozy cabin for their Yellowstone family vacation.
