I cannot say enough great things about the Park Avenue Villas! As a group of students in our mid-twenties traveling on spring break, this location was the perfect place for us -- incredibly safe and clean with a great kitchen, close to the beach and many bars/restaurants, a pool to cool off in after a long hot day of exploring, air conditioning, a nice large patio to watch the beautiful sunset from, and really wonderful fun owners who go out of their way to make sure that you have the best time possible in San Juan del Sur. Ralph and Renda were able to provide us with great advice about places to go to dinner, go out at night, grab groceries, and even arranged great ziplining and sailing tours for us. The property was even better than we'd imagined and we will all definitely be recommending it to friends!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This gem has a wonderful location in San Juan del Sur. Everything is within walking distances - especially the great selection of restaurants. We were amazed at the food quality and reasonable prices. Even though we had a fully equipped kitchen, we found ouselves enjoying the restaurants so much the kitchen did not get a lot of use. This condo/hotel is perfectly maintained, the staff is friendly and accomodating. Owners, Renda and Ralph are always available to answer questions and go out of their way to make certain you enjoy your stay. Bottled water and laundry service is available. The pool is a nice spot to cool down on a warm afternoon. Ask Renda to recommend a driver to pick you up from the airport. We found using drivers for our adventures in Nicaragua was less expensive than renting a car and certainly more relaxing than some of our other trips with rental cars in Central America. We've traveled a great deal and don't often return to the same place even if we enjoyed it. This is an exception, we will return next January -- but this time will stay two weeks instead of one week. San Juan del Sur and the Park Avenue Villas made this a truly relaxing vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: Ralph and Renda came from Texas after being married for 10 years. They were looking for that adventure and make life a little more interesting. They came for a two week vacation, bought property and moved here to stay. We have six children, 19 grandchildren, and lots of family members who we love very much!
Why the Owner Chose San Juan Del Sur:
We came to San Juan del Sur in 2003, and fell in love with the people and the little village by the sea. We built Park Avenue Villas and opened the hotel in 2006.
We were looking for a better life and know we found it in San Juan del Sur.
