Come experience SeasToday custom built on beautiful East Beach on St. Simons Island, GA. SeasToday is located at the northeastern corner of Bruce Drive and 11th Street featuring the shortest access to the best beach on SSI. This six bedroom, seven and one half bath architect's personal home was just completed in the Fall of 2009 and will sleep 15 in beds and 18 including pull outs. This home is large enough to spread out with your family or to be enjoyed simultaneously with other close family friends.
As you enter the gated enclosed private outdoor courtyard you are immediately struck with the beauty of the original 100 year old oak tree left untouched in the center. There is a soothing water feature spilling into the 14 x 17 foot custom pool and a covered all-weather deck. Two outdoor showers help wash the sand away and a large sodded front yard is perfect for playing catch with the kids. There are two covered outdoor porches perfect for reading and socializing off the second floor.
The interior of the home is reminiscent of a rustic yet elegant custom beach home built in the 1940's. The entrance foyer on the ground level features stained concrete floors, antique pine beams, access to both garages, a powder room and the three stop luxury elevator. This home is completely handicap accessible with wide door ways, zero step entryways and the elevator.
The second floor of the main house has a private cozy octagonal den with full bath. It also features a pull out single bed. This room is perfect for reading or watching a tv program by yourself. It also features a desk for those times when work intrudes into your vacation. The 16 x 25 foot family room has painted wooden walls, ceiling and floors. It has a wood burning fireplace and a 42 inch flat screen tv.
The gourmet kitchen / dining room / keeping room comfortably seats eight at the dining table and four at the raised bar top. Viking stainless steel appliances and custom French cabinetry adorn the gourmet kitchen. There is a 15 x 20 foot covered porch off of the keeping room that connects the main house to the bunk house. It is perfect for watching fall football games or enjoying evening cocktails.
The third floor of the main house has three bedrooms and three full baths. The two master suites feature queen size beds and each bedroom has its own flat screen tv and walk in closet. One master suite has a handicap accessible Jacuzzi tub with hand held shower unit. The third bedroom has a king sized bed and a pack-in-play stored in the walk in closet. Each floor has its own heating and air system.
The bunk house is separate from the main house but attached and features three bedrooms and three full baths. The upstairs bedroom doubles as second family room with a 42 inch flat screen tv and a large oversized couch. It has five built-in bunk beds and is a great getaway for the kids. The two lower bedrooms feature a queen bed and two singles, respectively.
We invite you to share this magnificent custom home located just steps away from Saint Simons Island's best beaches, restaurants and shopping.

My family regularly visits St. Simon's Island which is my favorite place to vacation. Until now we always stayed in local condo's. Never again. This beach house is amazing, We came with several families and loved it.. All the kids (young and old) stayed in the attached 3BR area and the adults had a 3 BR area on the top floor. Plenty of bathrooms. a huge kitchen and den, and almost on the beach. A covered porch with grill was much used by all. Restaurants are very close but we used the gourmet kitchen a lot. I highly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We decided to do a beach family reunion this year and couldn't have picked a better place! The home was even nicer in person, all of the rooms were large, nicely appointed, and comfortable. We enjoyed gathering in the kitchen dining area, living room and pool area. The walk to the beach was short and the location awesome. The beach was quiet, not crowded at all, with prime beach access. The elevator and ice machine were definitely nice touches. The kids enjoyed the swing and play areas, and loved their private bunkhouse space! The pool was a popular gathering area and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend it for an east beach experience!Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

My family and I (all 16 of us) stayed at this home to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary. The house was perfect, especially with the elevator for my parents. We were all very comfortable and had only a minutes walk to the beach. We look forward to our next visit!Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Eight best friends from Nursing School, class of 1965, enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Seastoday. We were delighted with both the beautiful accommodations and the convenient location. The house was truly unique offering conversation areas ranging from a comfortable den to an enticing covered deck to chaise lounges and chairs around a refreashing pool in a private courtyard setting under an awesome oak. The well equipped kitchen accommodated multiple cooks and there were plenty of comfortable beds and incredible bathrooms. We appreciated the elevator when dealing with luggage, enjoyed the wide screen T.V.(s) especially for viewing the royal wedding, and of course the WiFi for our Ipads & laptops.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Sixteen of us met for a weekend of fun and relaxation at Seas Today to celebrate our 30th birthdays. When we arrived, we couldn't believe how beautiful the furnishings are and how much room we had. The house is so big that we could never have felt cramped, even with the large number of people we had, but it's so cozy that we found ourselves spending most of our time together in the kitchen, on the deck, and by the pool. We each had our own bathrooms and bedrooms. We never did make it into town to explore b/c we were so content at the house! Grilling on the deck and cooking in the kitchen were a delight. The beach is a stone's throw away (less than a minute walk). The pool and yard area are beautiful. The ping pong table provided hours of entertainment one evening. Seas Today was the perfect spot for our trip, and we can't wait to return.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Thank you and your family for making your fabulous vacation home available to us. My husband, daughters, siblings, their children and my father enjoyed a wonderful stay at your home in August. You could not ask for a better house for a large group. We had 15 total and were perfectly comfortable in this beautiful, well designed home. I would highly recommend this property and the St. Simons area!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Chapman: I am writing to thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful seaside retreat over New Years' weekend. It is so well situated on the corner lot with the majestic oak tree in the yard. The house is so interesting and I love the fabulous colors. The bunkhouse is such a great retreat for all the teens and they really enjoyed their independence. From the handmade headboards to the beautiful wood and unique furniture - the house truly is a work of art. We had such a special time there and we so appreciate your generosity. Love, LisaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
