We would highly recommend this property for any family visiting Puerto Rico!!!! Everything we would ever need was provided by Carmen and Anton -- right down to golf clubs, tennis rackets, basketballs and even a telescope!!! We did not take full advantage of the complete kitchen, but plan to next time. The swimming pools were excellent and the view was exceptional....... Carmen and Anton were very easy to work with. I did not initially receive the contract in the mail, or misplaced it.....but Carmen worked with us so we were able to get everything faxed/scanned in under the deadline. There was plenty to do all within a few miles of the property. We couldn't get it all done in one trip!!! R. We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this property! The listing description and photos perfectly reflected the condo. It was very clean and well maintained. The six members of our group had plenty of room. All of the appliances functioned properly. The living area of the condo was very comfortable with the breeze coming through, leaving no need for air conditioning. The pools were clean and refreshing. We even saw a lizard near one pool and an iguana in the parking lot! We felt very safe in the community with a guard on duty at all times. The community is very close to Seven Seas Beach, local restaurants, the ferry to Vieques (or Culebra), a grocery store, other shopping, and restaurants, and just a short drive to Luquillo and El Yunque. We would love to return (especially since we came back home to snow falling), and definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Beautiful apartment overlooking the ocean!

We just recently (Jan. '12) stayed at this fabulous apartment and enjoyed our time there. The location cannot be beat and you can easily get anywhere in Fajardo or on the east coast in a short amount of time.The apartment is in a gated community, which makes one feel very safe. The gated community also has 3 pools and a gym, which we happily used. The apartment itself was great and very spacious. The best part? The balcony overlooking the ocean and marina! We spent hours and hours just sitting out there enjoying the sun. We only had a couple of tiny complaints, such as the cable not working in the bedroom (not the owners' fault) and we felt that there needed to be more towels for the bathroom and in the kicthen. But those are small complaints and we would recommend this place to anyone! If we are ever in the area again, we would happily stay here. Thanks Anton and Carmen!

Very Homey

We had a great time visiting Puerto Rico this last week (Dec 17-24). The Pena Mar complex was very empty, which we found nice (quiet). The security was comforting, everything was pretty easily accessible with a car, and we used the condo as a home base for 3 day activities. Seven Seas beach had a lot of broken glass at the entry, but as we walked down the water access and sand became much cleaner. The fishing trip with Captain Marcos was great, as was a trip to El Yunque rain forest. Our favorite part of the condo was that it had a front screen door that allowed you to keep the balcony door open and have a wonderful cross breeze. It felt like we were living outdoors! The pools were so much fun!! Although the slide eats swim suits. Be careful, it's made of concrete and is rough. So bring an old swim suit if you want to slide. Being in Fajardo gives you a real feel for the island, as if you lived there. It was a unique experience that we won't soon forget. The people of Puerto Rico were so friendly. Thank, Anton & Carmen for sharing your place.

Anton and Carmen, thank you for the exceptional hospitality! Your property was just as advertised and many of the other reviews covered the amenities and great location of your property so I won't repeat all that here. This was our first visit to Puerto Rico and our expectations were exceeded on every level, except for the unusual amount of rain during our stay. Anton was so enthused about us enjoying our stay that I'm sure he would have improved the weather for us if he could. We had a small glitch with TV reception and Anton went out of his way to resolve this very quickly. We have rented properties in the past but what makes this rental extra special is the sincere, warm hospitality of Anton and Carmen. Again, thank you very much and we hope to visit your property again sometime.

Dear Carmen & Anton, Thank you so much for the wonderful experience at your home. Your place was beautiful and was equipped with more than we could ask for. The place was so clean and everything was updated and new. Our kids loved the three pools and the tennis courts. The views were breath taking as well. The location was perfect! It was close to the biobay, el yunque, Luquillo beach and the ferries. Anton was very kind and his recommmendations were much appreciated. Now that we're back in NY we really miss Puerto Rico. Great location

Our family of 5 with three children including a 1 year old had a really good time. Carmen made sure our youngest had the necessary equipment - highchair and the baby crib. The apartment complex is safe and secure with gated access and a security guard 24x7. There are several pools in the complex - clean and well maintained. Further out, you have Seven Seas Beach and the launch points for many bio bay, snorkeling and diving tours. Several highly rated Fajardo restaurants are also nearby. Luquillo with its gorgeous beaches is a 10-20 mins drive away too. The apartment is right next to the marina, where one can rent boats for day trips to near-by islands. Overall it was a really good family vacation. The host was welcoming, the apartment had all the necessities and provided a welcome shelter after a long day's activities.

BEST LOCATION

We spent 6 days here with out 2 young children and could not have been more satisfied. The location coul not have been better for seeing the sights in the area. El Yunque and Luquillo were a short drive and 7 Seas Bach and the ferry to Culebra were minutes away. Not only that, but the Miniboat tour left from the marina just up the road. Excellent restaurants were less than 5 minutes away. The condo was more than enough room for the 4 of us and afforded the kids their own rooms. The kitchen made breakfast easy and helpful in starting our daily excursions. The complex itself was well maintained, with beautiful pools. All in all, a wonderfully convenient place to stay that truly felt like home.

Wonderful Vacation Spot!

We rented this property for a week, and had an excellent time. The location for seeing the sights in Puerto Rico was perfect. We could easily access the marina for a ferry to Culebra, or just hop in the car for a quick drive to the beach or the rainforest. The accomodations in the condo were also fantastic. We slept six VERY comfortably, and there was pleanty of space for everyone to be together in the dining room, patio, or living room. Not that we wanted to spend too much time there because of the three pools at the facility which were relaxing and beautiful. Also, you won't need to bring anything extra with you to stay here...there are beach towels, chairs, even basketballs and tennis raquets if you want to enjoy some of the resort's courts. We would all come back in a second when we visit Puerto Rico again. The whole group had a great time. Thanks Anton and Carmen for your wonderful hospitality.

Fantastic

Cannot begin to rave enough about this condo, the location, and the owners. Anton & Carmen were always available if needed. Four adults stayed a week and throughly enjoyed every minute of being in PR whether it be sightseeing, eating in nearby restaurants or just enjoying relaxation at the pool, the beautiful condo or watching the boats come and go. The facilities at the condo exceeded our expectations esp comparing the weekly costs to others we had researched. We were close to many attractions and the booklet @ the condo gave very percise directions to all of them. Thank you Anton & Carmen again and if we are lucky enough to plan another vacation in PR we will certainly be in contact with you.

What a nice stay!!!

We have stayed at this apartment with my husband and our 2 little children. As soon as we have got inside we were pleasantly surprised by how great and charming it was. I cannot say enough how much we liked to stay there and how well maintained,well equipped and beautiful the apartments are. We immediately felt ourselves like home. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are washer and dryer which is the big plus.There is a huge TV with a lots of channels. DVD player with Bose acoustic system. There are nice restaurants less than 2 miles away. The ferry is a very short drive which is very convenient if you plan to visit Culebra or Vieques. El Yunque is about 15-20 minutes drive. The owners of the apartments are very nice and honest people. We get a chance to meet Carmen her mother and were very pleased how sweet and nice people they are. If you would go to this place I'm sure that it would make your holidays to be just those perfect memories which last forever. I have already recommend this place to my friends and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Rico.

Anton, I just want to say thank you so much. I will have to say that we had a wonderful time. Your condo is top notch and very clean. Very convient to almost everything that you want or could possibly need. I was surprised that you called me almost the excat time when I got off the plane, perfect timing. You were very helpful, right down to the directios to the condo. We appreciated that you had extra towels, and the beach chairs came in good use. First Trip to Puerto Rico and plan to return

My husband and I, along with another couple, truly enjoyed our trip in February. The weather was perfect and beaches were not crowded. We were there during winter season, so it's not their peak season if you don't like large crowds. We were surprised at the large number of fast food places. Our visit to the Rain Forest, Old San Juan, Ferry to one of the islands, and BioBay Kayak Experience was amazing. Our trip was only for 4 days, so when we return, we will plan to stay longer to do more sightseeing. Anton and Carmen were very helpful with suggestions on where to go. Also, the condo was very convenient to shopping and restaurants, and weather was perfect. Thanks for a wonderful place to spend our time in Fajardo.

Nice times in Fajardo

Carmen and Anton were very nice. The condo was nice and located close to many of the things we enjoy. Pools were nice and well maintained during our stay. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. We like the northeast side of the island. Marina, ferry, and seven seas beach are minutes away. Food and shopping were close by. Rain forest and other beaches were fairly close as well. We will definitely stay again.

Excellent Vacation!

We have family in Puerto Rico and loved the location in relationship to our family and friends. The Condo is great for kids. We have two toddlers, and they had a great time at the pool. We loved the location and felt very safe. If we visit again, we would love to stay at the same place.

Carmen & Anton, We really enjoyed the visit. The location, the accomodations and the view were excellent. Only two things to comment on: (1) too often the Guard station misplaced our "papers" and we had to wait a significantly long time to get in: (2) the A/C units in the bedrooms were a bid noisy. My family and I stayed at this property the week of Sept 5th thru the 13th. I was extremely pleased at the cleanliness, quality, and convenience of the condo. Originally, I wanted a nice, clean place to stay while I visited family. But, I soon found myself wanting to stay at the condo more often instead of visiting other people. Anton and Carmen made renting the condo easy and were extrememly helpful in working with my schedule. I truly enjoyed my stay at this condo and I am looking forward to staying there again. Wonderful Vacations

We stayed in this property for a week on early August 2010.It was our 1st visit to PR. This apartment is a great option for a family vacation. The owners (Carmen & Anton) are very accommodating and they are always available if you need anything. The apartment is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The most important thing about this apartment is the comfort on all rooms (w/fully air conditioned) and they have everything you need to function in a family vacation since a cooler, beach chairs until a fully equipped kitchen. I recommended to rent a car so you can get around 'cause it is many activities to do in that area and have a blast(El Yunque(spectacular !!!), Bioluminescent Bay, horseback riding, catamaran trip across the street at Vista Marina to Icacos and Lobos islands for scuba diving/snorkeling, relax and have fun, daily ferries to Culebras and Vieques Islands(we recommended Culebras Island).If you do not wants to go out the complex, it has 3 swing pools, a gym, a basketball and tennis court. It is also closed to Wal-Mart and Amigos supermarket as well as different restaurants either fast-food or family local restaurants. If we return to visit PR definitively we will stay here again...we highly recommended this apartment ...our experience was really pleasant and fun and we hope you enjoy too !!!

Beautiful Accomodation - Bella Unidad

We just got back from our 10 day stay at Carmen and Anton's unit in Fajardo and have nothing but excellent things to say about it. The apartment is outfitted with everything you might need while you stay there. From a fully stocked kitchen (high end appliances, utensils, tableware), to bedrooms with furniture that rival any upscale hotel and more, fully appointed bathrooms (blow dryers, sewing kits, towels and toiletry), beach towels, beach bags, beach chairs, portable cooler. I can go on and on. The main thing this unit has is comfort all of the rooms are fully air-conditioned even though on most days we didn't need it. The apartment is on the fourth floor and the most fabulous breeze comes through it. The sofas are totally comfortable, the tvs are huge, WiFi connection is very fast. Carmen and her mom were very gracious and accomodating. The unit is close to many conveniences like, a supermarket, Walmart, food, McDonald's, PizzaHut, Dunkin Donuts, just to name a few. They even went to the trouble of supplying local things to do flyers, and magazines in the bathrooms! :-) This was our second time staying at Pena Mar this unit is by far a five-star unit. We have seen four other units and while they are all laid out in there floor plans the same the units are not as well appointed as this one. If you book it you are very fortunate as it is also very reasonably priced. Carmen and Anton are very quick to reply to you with any questions or concerns you may have. The complex security and maintenance is also exceptional, the three pools are a lot of fun, and the exercise room is accomodating. I would definitely return to this unit if we stay in Fajardo again. Thank you very much to Carmen, her mom, and Anton for making our stay such a true pleasure. Our check out was also extremely smooth.

I spent a week with my husband and 6 children and one of my initial concerns was how were we going to fit. I have to say that we were all very comfortable. All of the necessary items needed to have a vacation were provided, video games for the kids, hammock, cooler, board games, all utensils for the kitchen etc. I cant name it all. All we had to do was drive down to the local walmart and buy some food for our week stay. It was very comfortable and very easy to access the stores near by. We all really enjoyed the pools on the property. THere are 3 of them and all close by to the condo. To be honest we didnt even get to visit the beach because we just had such a good time. The rooms were just as described on the profile and the view was even better. I had an aunt and cousin visit while at Pena Mar and they too were very impressed. Overall, the space was great for such a large family. The view and balconly was great. We spent alot of time out there. The description of the amentities were as described and the service from the owners was wonderful. Carmen and Anton were very attentive to our needs and made themselves available at all times. We hope to visit the property again very soon. THanks for helping us make our weekend wedding vacation a total success!!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR FAJARDO, PR EXPERIENCE MEMORABLE

This was my 1st experience renting a condo for vacation. I would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat. The condo is a great place for family vacations. The picture of the property did not do it justice, as it looked old and uninviting. We were pleasantly surprised! The view from the balcony was a beautiful marina. What a peaceful setting to relax, and have a cup of coffee, while looking at boats. My neighbors are already booking for September. You could not ask for a cleaner and well maintained residence. The amenities exceeded my expectations. Everything that you needed to function as a family was there. Some examples are beach chairs, beach towels, picnic baskets, board games, golf clubs, racket ball clubs, plasma TV with cable internet connections. George Forman grille,hair drier, iron and board and full kitchen amenities, telescope, card table on balcony with dominoes game on top. How convenient is that? Also, the condo was smartly decorated and the master bedroom was gorgeous with the most comfortable, beautiful, 4 post bed we ever slept on. We saved a lot of money staying here! Good customer service should be synonymous with Mr and Mrs Reyes. All I asked was, if mangoes were in season? When we got there, a big basket of hand picked mangoes were waiting for us. We also had a slight problem,that was corrected immediately. You can't ask for better service than that! The deposits were returned promptly. When we arrived and got settled in, we went to explore the area. Around the corner there was a bakery, where we got fresh baked bread every morning. In that same strip mall, there were local vendors, cooking and selling fresh local Puertorican foods. That was on a Saturday. The cod fish fritters (bacalaitos) were to die for. The supermarket was about 5 minutes away, along with some restaurants(Burger King, Chinese food, Sizzler and local foods restaurants. Walmart is 10 min. away. As far as having fun, Luquillo beach is a beautiful beach to go to and spend the day. I also recommend El Yunque Rainforest and it's theatrical introduction. They have a nice place to eat with a great barbeque grill (this would be the 3rd restaurant going up into the mountain, with great skewered chicken, angus hamburgurs, etc. I think the name is El Yunqillero Restaurant). The marina is around the corner where you could take the ferry to Culebra Isand or Vieques Island. I preferred Culebra Island. Enjoy! Will return!!!

I just want to briefly mention how wonderful our stay was at the Reyes's condo in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Traveling with family is fun but not easy. You can't please everyone with the itinerary. However, everyone was extremely pleased to stay at this place. The condo provided all the essentials so that we can have conformtable and enjoyable stay. The owners were very considerate, sweet, and a just phone call away. The condo was spacious enough for the 9 of us (8 adults and child). The pools were great. Most of all, the location was perfect!!! Close to the marina, beach, excursion providers, shopping, and restaurants. We took full of advatange of these features. We enjoyed the beach in Luquillo, went to the biobay, shopped, and ate at the possibly BEST restaurant in Puerto Rico: Pasion for El Fogon. I can't praise this place enough for creating some of the best memories for our family. We all want to come back to this place for our next Puerto Rico trip.

We stayed at the Pena Mar Ocean Club in May 2010 and had a great time! The condo was clean and very well equipped. You could certainly tell that the owners took pride in their place. The view was wonderful...we really liked watching the sunrise from the balcony. We also were very pleased with the location. It was quiet and peaceful and yet was only a 5-10 minute drive from a number of good restaurants. It was also close to a lot of good attractions and activities (El Yunque, Bioluminescent Bay, scuba diving/snorkeling, horseback riding, etc.). We would certainly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Fajardo area.

Fun in the sun

Great time had by all. The kids love the three pools and basketball court. We did not bring our tennis racquet but the courts look great. The view from the balcony was great. Nothing like waking up early to see the sun rise. My dad would spend some morning sleeping on the hammock. Place was nice and clean. All the aminities from home are there.

I stayed here for 4 days in February 2010. I must say I LOVED it. The place is fully equipped and very clean. The owners were very courteous. The view from the Condo was beautiful. We had a great time and look forward to comming here again. I RECOMMEND IT 100%. There is plenty of activies to do from here. LOVE IT!

Isla del Encanto-Perfect getaway from cold & snow

We decided to take a vacation to a sunny and warm place during the February break. Because my sons didn't have their passports ready and we wanted to go somewhere warm we decided to go to Puerto Rico. My cousin recommended this condo to us. We LOVED it! Very comfortable for a family of 4, clean and very safe. The ammenities are incredible! We enjoyed the pools and the majestic view from our balcony. Mrs. Reyes was extremely hospitable and friendly. We are already planning on next year's winter vacation and will only consider staying in Pena Mar & rent from Carmen & Anton! My husband, sons & I had the BEST time and everyone was happy!

Our family of three truly enjoyed our four night stay in Feb 2010. The property and condominium amenities are great and Carmen and Anton really go out of their way to provide a first class home away from home. We also loved the area with many fantastic beaches, El Yunque, and the bioluminescent bays. There was no shortage of great things to do. Carmen and Anton are meticulous in making everything smooth and easy. For example, the property directions were well detailed and easy to follow; even at night. We would love to come again sometime!

Amazing Puerto Rico

If you are thinking of taking a get-a-way to Puerto Rico, this is your choice! I just spent 3nights and 4beautiful days at this prime location in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. The beds are so comfortable that it makes this vacation the most restful ever. And you can leave all your worries at home, because this is a 24hr manned gated community that just sets your mind at ease. The view of the ocean is truly amazing! We were completely blown away by the beautiful accommodations! The condo is fully stocked as well. You won't need anything but a bathing suit to enjoy the 3 pools. The location is outstanding as well. Whether you want to take a ferry to an island for a day of fun, go to the bioluminescent bay, the Yunke rainforest, or to an amazing beach, it's 10 minutes away. Literally! We as a family went zip lining, repelling, hiking, and took an evening kayak in the bio-bay. I would recommend these accommodations with 2 thumbs up and a SIMPLY AMAZING!

Perfect for a family vacation

We stayed at this property in early February, 2010, and had a great time. The apartment has everything you need for a nice family vacation. The owners were very accomodating and always available by phone or email if we had any questions or needed anything. The property is gated and you will feel very secure here. The grounds, swimming pools are very nice, and quiet (not a lot of people around). The apartment is very clean with nice furnishings and everything you need. For a family of four, this ended up being a very reasonable vacation (more room and cheaper than a hotel). WalMart and other stores are in Fajardo, so you can get everything you need to make meals at the apartment. You will need a rental car to get around, and many activities are close to Fajardo such as the rainforest, beaches, islands, marinas, etc. If you are looking for a nice place to stay with multiple bedrooms for a family, save some money on meals, and have all the amenities of home such as TV, wireless internet, etc., I would definitely recommend staying here.

This condo was terrific. It was clean and spacious and had a great balcony. The pool was big and clean and there were few people ataying in the complex. We highly recommend staying here.

A Wonderful Place To Stay!

This facility is by far one of the best accommodationswe have stayed in the east side of Puerto Rico. We enjoyed our stay very much at the beginning of this year 2010. The place is fully equipped, all you need to bring is any food you plan to cook. My kids enjoyed their room, the DVD player, the gaming system and of courses the 3 swimming pools they had to choose from :). Each room is very comfortable and the beds have good quality matresses. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the morning breeze from the Caribbean Sea is so refreshing, you want to stay there all day long, I enjoyed it every morning while drinking my freshly brewed cafe con leche. The location is perfect as there is easy access to major highways if you want to drive to San Juan, Luquillo, Ponce, basically anywhere in the island. Mrs and Mr Reyes welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a very informational tour of the condo and the complex amenities. They even baked some very yummy "panatelas" (powdery sweet slender buiscuit) for our enjoyment. As I mentioned before, this place is fully equipped and furnished with high quality items, plenty of linens, towels, kitchen utensils, appliances, entertainment and more. It has been kept very well and clean. The price is right, the owners are awesome and the location is perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place they could call paradise. We'll be staying there again next year. AAA+++
