  This home is absolutely beautiful. When you walk thru the door this house is decorated beautifully and has the WOW factor. If you want to spend time in the mountains and have the comforts of home, this is the place for you. Loved the big front yard and large upper deck. The house is in a great location, close to stores, outlet malls, restaurants, ski areas, white water rafting, water parks, horseback riding, fishing, boating and casinos. This home is great for family vacations or just a romantic get-a-way - guaranteed everyone will love it – we did. Not to mention the owners happen to be my best friends.

  My search on VRBO came to an end when I saw this property and got off the phone with Milli - It was almost the memorial day weekend and we just got LUCKY with this beautiful home that we rented for the weekend. So much fun with friends in a wonderful location- Priceless!! We were a group of 6 adults with 3 kids that totally loved it!! The house is so BEAUTIFULLY decorated and well maintained that I felt it was the Ritz of the B&B's :). I have stayed at the Ritz and I totally can vouch that the comparison is justified! :) Milli has a very good taste in decoration and has a very well set/equipped home! literally home away from home! we will absolutely go back this winter to experience the winter fun - want to stay longer this time. The location is awesome- a lot of things to do around the place. John and Millie are awesome - they were so proactive in getting the fire pit going on the mention of camping fun. They had treats waiting for us at the kitchen counter - and colorful kids' cups and bowls for them to keep with a wonderful hand written note! So very warm - enough said - I would say go ahead and book it and experience what the place has to offer!! :)- Thank you for the lovely plants Milli! My little one still remembers Goochi!

  I just got back from a Memorial Day reunion with my friends and their family. It was wonderful. We are so glad that we chose this house to rent. This has been one of the best things we have done in a long while. Everyone had great time. John and Milli are wonderful people to know. They went over and above in helping us feel comfortable in the house we rented. They were even very nice giving playthings (volleyball, etc) to the three children in the group (3-6 y). The kids did not want to leave the house at all. They also had a lot of fun with John and Milli's little dog. This house is close to a lot of tourist sites- zip line, Bushkill Falls, golf driving range, and a bunch of good restaurants. The pharmacy and a good grocery store was close-by. We enjoyed the weekend immensely. We hope to do this again this winter (really curious to experience PA snow). Bottomline, if you are in the neighborhood, it is always great to have John and Milli's phone number on your phone. Great people, great place! Go for it!!

  This house worked so well for our multi-generational family skiing weekend. Plenty of room for 6 of us. The kids took over the first floor with their own space, including a bedroom, family room with fireplace and tv. Upstairs had another living room, fireplace and 3 more bedrooms. Very lovely. Hosts left treats for us and even sausage and eggs in the fridge if we had wanted to cook them! Close to skiing and good restaurants. Convenient to turnpike location. Very hospitable owners. Would certainly stay again and recommend the place to friends and family.

  I can't say enough of how meticulously maintained and comfortable this home is! Upon our arrival someone was there to greet us and give us a walk through of the property to explain the area and the amenities of the home. Only a short drive to all 3 ski areas (Jack Frost - 7 minutes, Big Boulder - 10 Minutes, Camelback - 15-20minutes) with plenty of local restaurants and a 24 hour Wawa down the street you couldn't ask for a more secluded yet convenient area to vacation. (Try the buffalo wings at Doms down the street if you like spicy!) The owners were some of the nicest people you would want to meet and truly take pride in their property as it shows throughout. We all felt at home at the end of a long day on the mountain to come back that felt just like home, turn on the fireplaces, throw a movie on the flat screen, fix a drink at the bar and just veg out. We stayed for 2 nights and were reluctant to leave on our last day praying that the snow would give all 6 of us an excuse for one more night in the woods! I'm writing this on monday from work so we see that didn't happen, LOL. If you are looking for a great place to stay amongst pleasant people and a cozy surrounding look no more. Special thanks to John, Milli, and Johnny for a great weekend in the Poconos and we look forward to visiting again soon. Only gave five stars cause I couldn't give more... Thanks again for everything.

  I have had the pleasure of staying at Sledgewood on several occasions. My husband and I are fortunate to have the innkeepers as close family, and it is the perfect location for pre and post wedding celebrations. My girlfriends and I stayed at Sledgewood prior to my wedding and the accommodations were priceless. I would definitely recommend this for a romantic getaway, as well as a reunion site for groups of friends. Every room is nicely appointed and, as a guest, you are made to feel special. The innkeepers are sweet, kind, caring and very responsive to any questions regarding nearby activities and attractions. I look forward to our next trip 'home' and this beautiful location definitely feels like a second home.

  Not only is this a lovers getaway but great space for you and a few friends to get away for a weekend. The owners were so welcoming and warm and made us feel at home as soon as we pulled in. It's true about all of the amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, spices and everything. They even left little treats for us on the counter. It's quiet, clean and beautiful. A perfect city escape. The best part about it is that it doesn't feel like you are staying at a hotel or bed and breakfast. It feels warm and comfortable like home! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive relaxing weekend in the woods!!
