Casa Tranquila is a Tropical Oasis with Security and Full Amenities in a perfect location on the Pacific Coast! Our Costa Rican getaway is a privately-owned, beautifully unique home (approx. 2,000 s.f.) within a luxurious tropical garden estate setting. This secluded house is located on a private street in an upscale, guarded community with friendly & outgoing American and European neighbors. The home is perfectly located in the area's most impressive premier upscale community, as voted on by real estate agents in 2009.
The home is situated in a perfect location, with an easy 10-minute walk to the 2.5 mile long Jaco Beach. This spectacular property contains native fruit trees, an abundance of gorgeous tropical plants, and water features. Daily visitors stop by in the form of Scarlet Macaws and Toucans. The relaxing swimming pool is just 5 steps from a same level, huge tiled furnished patio area (approx. 300 s.f.) complete with ceiling fans, lighting and a dining area.
Located perfectly for an effortless 10-minute walk to the relaxed beach town of Jaco, you will find restaurants (100+), boutiques, bistros, ice cream stores, grocery stores, Farmer's Market, fresh seafood stores, yoga and fitness centers, music venues, bakeries, banks and casinos abound. Roads are paved and with sidewalks from the house to to town. First class medical facilities are within walking distance, along with pharmacies and rental companies for bicycles, cars, scooters, motorcycles, surfboards, scuba/snorkel equipment, ATV and 4-wheelers, etc.

Our paradise home that we offer to responsible parties is located a short 55 minutes from Manuel Antonio Park, which is Costa Rica's largest and most famous park, featuring monkeys and every type of wildlife imaginable available in Costa Rica. We can arrange for a privately guided tour of the park for you, if desired. Crocodile tours, zip lines, and horseback riding are close by, as are hiking trails where the waterfalls and views will amaze you.
Less than a 1-hour drive from the bustling international city of San Jose and the International Airport via the new Caldera Highway, this Pacific oasis is the closest beach community from the capital, and is perfect for couples or small families. It's completely secure, with Israeli-installed security system and electronic entrance gate.
Casa Tranquila contains cordless telephones, American channels on cable television, music system, wireless high speed internet, and air conditioning in the bedrooms. An oversized charcoal grill for BBQ is available, as is full US-style washer and dryer. In addition, the home offers a filtered water and ice from the huge refrigerator, a dishwasher so you don't have to wash dishes on your vacation, a bar area, and 25' vaulted teak wood ceilings, with ample room for car or storage in the large garage.
Designer-furnished in Costa Rican style, our house is spacious with many windows and emphasis on openness and outdoor living. Each bedroom features huge windows that look out upon the tropical oasis in the backyard and pool area. Maid service is provided weekly and the Gardener/Pool custodian visits 2x per week.
A perfect location to explore all of Costa Rica with its unlimited array of parks, volcanoes, beaches, zip lines, and 4-wheel tours, and eco-tourism at it's very best.
Our local manager welcomes you upon arrival and will show you all the amenities of the home, and can take you for a drive to introduce you to the town, shopping, etc., if you desire.
The homeowner is a well-respected American, and our incredible managers (Elena and Christina) can organize any and all tours and activities, including private catering, private masseuse at the home, babysitter service, and any transportation whatsoever, if requested.

The house itself is in superb condition and really offers all of the luxuries a home could have in this beautiful tropical location. The privacy of the lot and courtyard is perfect for honeymooners or anyone just wanting to experience absolute relaxation - in the comfort of your own home! The pool is great for quick swims any time or floating on the water with a good book. The outside area is perfect for entertaining, including a grill and even a flatscreen TV! The area felt safe at all times - once one gets used to the local people biking everywhere. All windows can be closed / locked, but leaving them open (it's safe) makes for a nice breeze in the house along with fans (when not using the AC). However, open windows do let all of the tropical noise in (birds chirping) and sometimes the early barking of dogs from the neighborhood. The house location is close to Jaco's main street area (about 5 min walk). Walking to the beach takes no more than 10 minutes. Grocery stores and restaurants, cafes, bakeries all can be reached within 5 minutes when walking. Surfing is definitely the local activity to do, but it is also easy enough to set up tours to view National Parks, volcanic craters, visit coffee plantations, go boating / fishing / horseback riding or even ziplining. Most tours take up the entire day (factoring in transportation time to the destination). I hope to return to this beautiful home and location in the near future to experience relaxation, bliss and PURA VIDA!

We just returned from 2 weeks in this tropical paradise and were more than pleased with the entire location. The home has every amenity and the pool is beautiful. the toucans visited us the 2nd morning we were there. Every day there was a parade of wonderful birds..the wrens fledged 2 nests of babies in the palm trees surrounding the pool while we were there. The restaurants were all very good, moderately priced. We rented a car, went fishing, went sightseeing and generally had a delightful 2 weeks. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing, beautiful, quiet place to enjoy.The property manager was always at our disposal. she was excellent.

For the past 10 years I have spent the majority of my time in and out of combat zones. Every now and then I get to take a break and actually enjoy some time with my wife. We have stayed at Casa Tranquila a few times now and we are going back very soon. I really have no desire to stay anywhere else. My wife and I love it there, it is such a peacefull and private house that you cant help but fall in love with it the moment you walk through the front gate. Costa Rica has alot of meaning for us, back in 2008 I proposed to my wife under a waterfall in the jungle not far from this house. With all that Jaco has to offer this is the perfect house to come back to at the end of the day. Wether you were out surfing, scuba diving, horseback riding or doing many of the other adventures that are available in the area this is the best place to end your day. The house has everything you could possibly need. If you like to cook and grill out like we do you will enjoy eating on the lanai next to the pool. The landscaping around the house is perfect. By the way, that is me in the hammock lovin life at Casa Tranquila. Im currently in Iraq and will probly be here for another 5 years. The only place I want to spend my vacation is in Jaco at Casa Tranquila.

This house is everything it advertises. I have stayed here twice in 2 years and versus a resort twice as expensive, I would take this house every year as a private, first class alternate. The property is clean and obviously very well maintained, the owners are kind, considerate and prompt in their service. I would definitely recommend this house to any friend or family. Nearby canopy rides, ATV rides, Beach, fishing, shopping in Jaco village are all icing on the cake. The dipping/wading pool is incredible. Fruit you can pick off the trees to snack make it hard to ever leave the property.

The house is situated perfectly in Jaco and in a very secure neighborhood. Close to everything and the owners just put in a dishwasher and we were the first to use it. Clean house and the Lanai is perfect for enjoying the pool and the nature. I highly reccomend this house and the area
