An overall wonderful experience. The house was lovely with more than adequate amenities. We had 2 young ladies clean the house on several occasions. They were so nice and made us beautiful flower and towel arrangements. The owner Carol and Elena the property manager were very helpful exceeding our expectations. We loved our Costa Rican adventure. Casa Tranquila was perfect for us.

The house was as amazing as the pictures. The staff was so flexible to my needs. The pool was warm, relaxing, and a perfect piece of paradise amongst the paradise of the house, Jaco, and Costa Rica. The downtown was easy to access by walking. The beach was beautiful and highly accessible. The neighborhood was so quiet and tranquil it made the name of the home seem like a pun and a reality. The main living area and kitchen combined with my own private pool made the cost of the house a bargain compared to any area hotel. I will definitely come back if they will have me. I will definitely recommend this home to friends. If I could buy the house right now I would! My vacation there was wonderful and the house played a very valuable role in my utmost enjoyment of my vacation.

Our family so enjoyed our stay at Casa Tranquila! Our two daugthers (age 12 and 16) loved the pool and watching the birds in the beautiful yard. We loved the privacy and security of the house and equally enjoyed being so close to all that the town offers. The house is beautiful, clean, and has everything you need to cook, relax, and spend time with family. The master bed is gorgeous and comfortable. Elena was wonderful and was available by phone whenever we had a question. . We love the Jaco area! We went horseback riding, fishing, hiking through the rainforest, boating to Tortuga Island, and took mudbaths under waterfalls! Great trips and tour gudes recommended by the owner! And of course, lots of shopping and eating! We saw loggerhead turtles, toucans, macaws, dolphins, monkeys, sloths and so much more. We ran out of time before we ran out of activities.

Amazing House!

This is a great house, I stayed here for 5 weeks from May 5th to June 10th 2012. The house itself is beautiful with everything you need to make it feel like home. The pool and garden are so beautiful. The house is close to downtown Jaco and the beach too! I highly recommend this house and hope to return soon! Thank you to Carol the owner, and the staff in Jaco for making my vacation so amazing!!

This house was amazing! I stayed for five weeks from May 5th to June 10th 2012, and I had the time of my life. The pool, garden and house are beautiful. I would highly recommend this house! Carol and the staff in Jaco were so helpful and answered all my questions before and during my stay. Thanks for everything, and I hope to return soon!

The home was very nice. The property manager was phenomenal. The owner was very good about answering questions and suggestions of things to do. The walk is a little longer than 10 minutes to downtown Jaco. Not sure about the relationship with the Marriott, which is a 10 - 15 minute drive from the house. I would recommend this home for those wanting to stay in Jaco.

We just returned from our one week at Casa Tranquila and our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!! The house is amazing, very clean and spacious. The outdoor living areas are fantastic, both in the front and the back yard and plenty of room for lounging, sun bathing by the pool and napping. We enjoyed using the BBQ right next to the terrace and pool. The house is equipped with everything need to be comfortable: all kitchen appliances you may need, towels, bed sheets, furniture…everything and more ! My family and I absolutely loved it. The owners were very friendly, accessible (very quick replies), honest and easy to deal with. The property manager, Elena, was very friendly and helpful all the time. It was everything we hoped it would be and more... I would definitely recommend this place.

The owner of the property ( Carol) set up a meet and greet at the airport. Our driver was great and stopped on the way so we could see the crocodiles. What a great way to start our vacation. I knew the minute we arrived at the house that this is where we were staying by the photos we had seen. The house was gorgeous and meticulous. Everything was1st. class. It had every amentity you could have asked for. Before we arrived Carol kept in touch with us and spent alot of time answering any question we may have had. We had never been to Costa Rica, so you cannot imagine how helpful this was. Elena the property manager met us upon arrival and made us feel at home. Out of all the properties we had seen, we couldn't have picked a better one. We used the same driver that met us at the airport for our tours, and he just went out of the way to make our vacation one that we would never forget. If you like to walk many of the restaurants are within walking distance, or a transfer is very inexpensive. One thing that I forgot was that the pool was great. After we got home, we would relax in the pool which overlooked the tropical setting of the backyard. Yes, I would recommend this property to a relative or friend. It was a dream come true. Thank you!!!!!

Heavenly stay in Costa Rica

The home gives you the feel of living in Paradise. The back yard has a wonderful swimming pool, fountain, and probably over 70 species of beautiful plant life. Homes beautiful interior w/ full kitchen, patio w/furniture and BBQ grill, and laundry room fills complete needs. Home was very clean, short drive or walk to beach/shopping/restaurants/entertainment. Everything about this vacation home was excellent.

This very updated home is conveniently located in Jaco within 1 mile from downtown and the beach. The house was cozy with all the amenities needed for a comfortable/relaxing getaway. The pool and lush tropical scenery was perfect after a day in the sun. I highly recommend this rental, you won't be disappointed.

A relaxing vacation

I recently rented this beautiful vacation home for a week with my family. The house is located close to the town of Jaco so it was easy to take the car or rent a cab to go to the beach, stores and local adventures. The house has a nice open living room and kitchen where we could gather to talk. The master bedroom was very comfortable and the guest bedroom was very similar to the master. All appliances were new and the house and surroundings were in great shape. The patio and the pool area is the place to gather and relax. The pool is close to the patio so you talk with each other whether you are in or out of the pool. The yard is well landscaped and it is relaxing to watch the various birds that are attracted to the yard. We had a couple Macaw parrots land in the trees above us. The surroundings are beautiful and we felt like we were in our own home. The listing was just as they stated "Casa Tranquila" and the rental pictures accurately describe the property. I would strongly recommend this rental property to family and friends. Enjoyed the stay!

i loved this place. it was beautiful, well maintained, luxurious and had all the amenities one could want for a vacation stay. the grounds were great with lots of birdlife. close to town, but in a quiet neighborhood. very safe and secure. i will return here and will recommend it to my friends who visit jaco beach.

I had the most wonderful vacation @ this 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa. The bedrooms and bath are oversized and confortable.The kitchen is fully appointed with upgraded appliances. The family room is large with very nice furniture. There is internet hook up. Imagine....getting up every morning with a cup of fresh coffee on a beatiful back porch. The fans provide a gentle breeze. The sound of the backyard fountain and the pool ready for use is great. There is a huge grill and TV on the porch as well. I really did not want to leave. ENJOY!!!

The house itself is in superb condition and really offers all of the luxuries a home could have in this beautiful tropical location. The privacy of the lot and courtyard is perfect for honeymooners or anyone just wanting to experience absolute relaxation - in the comfort of your own home! The pool is great for quick swims any time or floating on the water with a good book. The outside area is perfect for entertaining, including a grill and even a flatscreen TV! The area felt safe at all times - once one gets used to the local people biking everywhere. All windows can be closed / locked, but leaving them open (it's safe) makes for a nice breeze in the house along with fans (when not using the AC). However, open windows do let all of the tropical noise in (birds chirping) and sometimes the early barking of dogs from the neighborhood. The house location is close to Jaco's main street area (about 5 min walk). Walking to the beach takes no more than 10 minutes. Grocery stores and restaurants, cafes, bakeries all can be reached within 5 minutes when walking. Surfing is definitely the local activity to do, but it is also easy enough to set up tours to view National Parks, volcanic craters, visit coffee plantations, go boating / fishing / horseback riding or even ziplining. Most tours take up the entire day (factoring in transportation time to the destination). I hope to return to this beautiful home and location in the near future to experience relaxation, bliss and PURA VIDA!

We just returned from 2 weeks in this tropical paradise and were more than pleased with the entire location. The home has every amenity and the pool is beautiful. the toucans visited us the 2nd morning we were there. Every day there was a parade of wonderful birds..the wrens fledged 2 nests of babies in the palm trees surrounding the pool while we were there. The restaurants were all very good, moderately priced. We rented a car, went fishing, went sightseeing and generally had a delightful 2 weeks. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing, beautiful, quiet place to enjoy.The property manager was always at our disposal. she was excellent.

The only place for us.

For the past 10 years I have spent the majority of my time in and out of combat zones. Every now and then I get to take a break and actually enjoy some time with my wife. We have stayed at Casa Tranquila a few times now and we are going back very soon. I really have no desire to stay anywhere else. My wife and I love it there, it is such a peacefull and private house that you cant help but fall in love with it the moment you walk through the front gate. Costa Rica has alot of meaning for us, back in 2008 I proposed to my wife under a waterfall in the jungle not far from this house. With all that Jaco has to offer this is the perfect house to come back to at the end of the day. Wether you were out surfing, scuba diving, horseback riding or doing many of the other adventures that are available in the area this is the best place to end your day. The house has everything you could possibly need. If you like to cook and grill out like we do you will enjoy eating on the lanai next to the pool. The landscaping around the house is perfect. By the way, that is me in the hammock lovin life at Casa Tranquila. Im currently in Iraq and will probly be here for another 5 years. The only place I want to spend my vacation is in Jaco at Casa Tranquila.

The home was perfect for our family of 5. Great place to relax after a full day of activities. The kids loved ending the day playing in the pool. We couldn't have asked for more and look forward to future visits.

This house is everything it advertises. I have stayed here twice in 2 years and versus a resort twice as expensive, I would take this house every year as a private, first class alternate. The property is clean and obviously very well maintained, the owners are kind, considerate and prompt in their service. I would definitely recommend this house to any friend or family. Nearby canopy rides, ATV rides, Beach, fishing, shopping in Jaco village are all icing on the cake. The dipping/wading pool is incredible. Fruit you can pick off the trees to snack make it hard to ever leave the property.

The house is situated perfectly in Jaco and in a very secure neighborhood. Close to everything and the owners just put in a dishwasher and we were the first to use it. Clean house and the Lanai is perfect for enjoying the pool and the nature. I highly reccomend this house and the area
