Charming home, close to beach and shopping, and a great area for walking and running. First trip to Maine and it was memorable. Would love to come back some day and stay longer. The brochure from the Chamber of Commerce was most helpful with restaurants, etc. There were newspapers left for us too that had weekly and on-going events that made it very helpful. I'd recommend a visit to this area to everyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

THIS WAS OUR SECOND STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. THIS PROPERTY IS WALKING DISTANCE TO A GREAT BEACH. IT IS LOCATED IN A QUIET AREA, SO IS QUITE PEACEFUL. IT IS CLOSE TO SEVERAL TOWNS THAT ARE TOURIST FRIENDLY AND A LOT OF FUN. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO STAY HERE AGAIN.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

A wonderfully quaint house in a beautiful location! Clean, comfortable and roomy, with quality beds and a well stocked kitchen. Centrally located to the beaches, restaurants, shopping, Kennebunkport, Portland and Boston. The owner and property manager were so helpful in recommending restaurants and not-to-miss activities. Don't miss Federal Jack's, Mabel's and Pier 77 for the best lobster/seafood! I would highly recommend this property for those wishing to visit this beautiful area!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent two weeks here in July 2010. The home was very comfortable and convenient to the beach, town and shopping. Plentiful sleeping accommodations, towels, linens, cooking/dining supplies, laundry facilities, beach passes, beach chairs, TV's (and good weather!) made for a very pleasant vacation. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room so our group did not feel cramped. We liked the two separate TV areas, and the outdoor fire pit. The beds were very comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised to find new fluffy towels and high quality bedding. My family was there in early May, and the trees in bloom in the yard and neighborhood were spectacular. I plan to be back next year! Great area!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We live in Indiana, but have roots in Maine and love the Southern Maine coast. It is always home for us.
Why the Owner Chose Kennebunk:
The house was originally a one room schoolhouse built in the 1850's. In the 1950's it was converted to a family dwelling. The house has been in our family since the 70's.
