Completed in November 2009, this energy efficient log cabin, named Mt. Sinai, is the mountaintop experience you have been awaiting. Enjoy an afternoon spent rocking on the covered porch, while overlooking rolling hills featuring cows and a red barn. This is a serene view you won’t want to leave.
Once inside you will fall in love with the spacious 1100 sq. feet cabin. The great room is more than adequate to accommodate friends and family while you gather around the fireplace and recount your day in the mountains, or curl up with a good book and watch the spectacular sunset over the ridge.
The kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, Bamboo floors and is well equipped for any meal to be prepared. Also downstairs, you will find one (1) bedroom with a queen bed and 1 ½ baths. Upstairs you will find two (2) bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with twin bunk beds) and one (1) full bath. All of the baths have ceramic floors and both full baths have dual shower/tub. There is also a Double Bed in the 800 square-foot unfinished basement, which can be used to sleep 2 additional people. Although the basement is unfinished, it is heated and there is also a table that can be used to play cards or board games.
Outside, you can swing the afternoon away sitting in the 6-foot long wooden swing hanging under the covered porch and listen to the Tweetsie Railroad whistle or the mooing cows across the street. And during the winter months, you can see the lights and slopes of Appalachain Ski Mountain, just across mountain.
Mt. Sinai Cabin is located 1 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 miles to Appalachian Ski Mountain, 28 miles to Beech Mountain, 20 miles to Sugar Mountain, 7 miles to Downtown Boone and Appalachian State University, 7 miles to Downtown Blowing Rock, just 1.85 miles to Samaritan's Purse and less than 10 miles to WestGlow Spa and Resort.
Mount Sinai is also a member of the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce!

We have a Christmas tradition of renting a cabin in the Boone/Blowing Rock area while visiting relatives in the area. This year we rented the Mt. Sinai cabin. The cabin was clean, comfortable and provided a nice atmosphere for the season. The beds slept well and our 8 year old daughter loved the upstairs bunk beds. The wood-burning fireplace did a great job of making the living area nice and cozy. While the location is not as woodsy and isolated as some, its close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway proved very convenient. We took advantage of it to do some really nice nearby hikes. It was also very easy and quick to head into Boone for dinner or groceries.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children.

My family rented this great house to celebrate my mothers birthday. My children, ages 10 & 7 were in heaven as they explored in the woods, made wooden boats to float in the pond across the street & took photos of the beautiful scenery. We were so relaxed! The house felt so "homey" and had everything we needed. The owner has put her heart into this cabin and it shines through when you stay there! We will be back!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

Our family stayed at the Cabin for Christmas 2010. We had a great time. The cabin is close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. Cabin is beautiful, the furnishings in the cabin are comfortable and it has a wonderful wood burning fireplace. We got quite a bit of snow on Christmas Day which made the vacation even better. We were scheduled to leave the day after Christmas and worried about getting down the steep driveway. The owner arranged for someone with a snowplow to scrape the driveway and he even helped us get to the main road. We really appreciated everything they did. This is a great rental and we highly recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

This is a great house to go to a long weekend away. It's brand new & has a fantastic, modern open kitchen that's great for groups - it is open to the living room, which has a huge fireplace. Bathrooms are modern too & the views are gorgeous. It's a very short drive either into town for dinner/coffee, to the hiking trails or spa. The owner was very nice and easy to deal with & we had no issues while we were there. Recommended.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We had a wonderful stay! The house is very cozy and great for entertaining with a large deck, nice size kitchen and comfy living room. The views are exquisite off of the deck or pretty much anywhere in the house. A definite must stay if you are in the area!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
