A great escape from the day-to-day stresses! Pack a swim suit and a beach towel for a weekend or week of relaxation and fun. Newly renovated cottage with a gentle walk to your own dock. Enjoy your cup of coffee on the covered front porch in the morning or enjoy an evening with a cookout on our deck with our charcoal grill. Downstairs master bedroom with queen bed and adjoining full bathroom. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with two queen beds and the other with a full-sized bed. Upstairs shared bathroom, shower only. Open concept living room, dining room and furnished kitchen. Kitchen has dishwasher, ice maker, cooking utensils and dishes. Still adding finishing touches to the decor.
Backyard overlooks a beautiful wooded area, with plenty of wildlife such as deer and turkeys. Recently added in spring 2011, a fish cleaning station, firepit and a picnic table.

Recently stayed at the lake house with a few of my college friends for a long weekend of boating and hanging out. The house was in great shape and plenty of room for us. The dock for the boat was perfect and easy to access. The back patio was great for sitting outside and relaxing. Overall great experience and I will definitely go back in the future if I can.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our stay at your cottage was wonderful. We were in town for a family reunion, and our accomodations at your place made us feel as if we were at home. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and the location was great! Everything was just as nice as the photos on your website. We enjoyed our time by the lake fishing and taking in the views, as well as the outdoor music downtown on Friday night. It was so nice to come back to your home after the long, hot days of visiting with family. We hope to stay here again for our reunion next year. Thank you again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Relaxation and watching the wild life. We did scenic driving and enjoyed the beautiful colors of fall. This was a perfect place for a get-away. No need to bring anything! Loved that everything we needed was already here. Weather was perfect - the cottage perfect and hate to leave! I will definitely recommend your cottage - can't wait to return! Why would you leave this place? WE had all the food beverages, and entertainment we needed. About the owner: Tom grew up in this neighborhood and has many fond memories. When we were first married, we spent a lot of time near Mill Creek raising our 3 sons and enjoying the beauty and fun Mill Creek Lake has to offer. We still enjoy returning to the area for relaxation and family time, and now creating many memories with our grandchildren. Tom is a carpenter and Theresa is an interior decorator and work closely together. After purchasing this property, they spent many hours creating a vacation home for others to enjoy.
Why the Owner Chose Marshall:
The location of this vacation rental has great opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast. With a view of Mill Creek Lake, it is a pleasure to just relax on the front porch or go for long walks along the Mill Creek Dam When not on the lake boating and swimming, we like to take a picnic to our boat dock and watch all the boats. There is just something sacred about sitting on the dock at sundown when the water has calmed to look like a large piece of glass! If we want to drop a line and fish awhile, it is only a short walk back to the cottage with our prize catch of the day. As parents and grandparents, we have now created fond memories for our family, here on this fun and action attractive lake.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The cottage is within a short driving distance into town for shopping for supplies, go antiquing or visit the art gallery. There is an artist reception every third Saturday. If you like history you can drive 20 minutes to a small town nearby and visit the Lincoln School Museum. Right downtown Marshall, you can visit the newly restored Harlan Hall, a historical landmark. You could take in a movie in a nearby town, or visit some of the finest wineries in our local area. Mill Creek Park, only 3 miles away, has events nearly every weekend.
Or maybe you just prefer some quiet time to relax and read a good book. Your vacation with us is sure to be of great satisfaction, and one your family and friends will cherish for years to come.
