  This cottage was all that we hoped for! It was very cute, very clean, two blocks away from the main strip where there are restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. (This is also where the entrance to the beach is). The cottage has everything you need, including a very private and peaceful feel to it. There's a little patio in back with a grill, and beyond that there's the dock-- which always has birds perching and fish swimming by. On our last day, we even saw a pair of dolphins swim by as we looked out the window of the living room! The weather was pretty good, but even though it wasn't great, it didn't matter because we were so close to the beach that we could bounce back and forth at our leisure. We were very impressed, and Mike and Brent were so inviting and helpful, we didn't want to leave! We definitely want to come back.

  We really enjoyed this charming little cottage. Everything was provided: linens, basic kitchen necessities, beach chairs, etc. It was very clean and had wonderful bayside view. The dock out in back was charming and the beach was a few steps away. Wireless internet was available and there was a large-screen TV with limited basic cable. We highly recommend this place and really enjoyed the location in the heart of historic Bradenton Beach. The local trolley makes it super easy to travel up and down Anna Maria Island.

  My wife and I spent our Christmas 2009 vacation here. The owner and his staff were more than happy to make us feel right at home. This was our first trip to "the island" and we had plenty of questions. This property is owned by the same person who owns the huge marina next door. Very down to earth people here that are very familiar with the area and willing to point you in the direction of whatever you may be interested in.The house is very clean with large tile floor throughout, internet, and a large flat screen tv. Free use of a jet ski was a huge perk! I wish the weather would have been warmer for it. They have jet ski tours from the marina and you will be invited along. The location of this house is really neat. You can walk out the door and the water is only fifteen feet away! You have your own pier to fish from too! Nothing beats getting up in the morning, watching the sun rise from the bay water, then walking over to the beach that evening and watching it disappear into the gulf! The boats that go through the bay are really neat to watch and the drawbridge is interesting. Everything you need is within walking distance and the island is very narrow in this area, making the beach quite close. At the opposite side of the bay is the village of Cortez, which has fresh caught seafood in little mom and pop markets. The charter fishing boats leave from there also. In summary, I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a great island experience, I know ours was!
