We enjoyed our stay in Sugar Mountain, NC. The home was very warm and comfortable. There was also ample space for our family of 4 and my extended family of 6. The kids loved the game room, especially the board games. The entire house was very clean and well-stocked. We loved the 3 levels that allowed everyone some space. We really enjoyed many of the summer activities that were close by including horseback riding, zip lining, bike riding, hiking and shopping. We will have to revisit sometime in the winter for skiing. It was a wonderful vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

I have a large family and we stayed in this home very comfortably! We come to Sugar Mtn. every year and we had a wonderful time! The home was up to date, clean & minutes from the slopes. The owner, Chantal, was easy to get in touch with and her house keeper, Audrey was extremly helpful during our stay. My family will certainly stay here again next year.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you, Shelley, it was a pleasure accomodating you as well! Please remember to take advantage of our 10% return guest discount for your next visit to Sugar Mountain! Chantal

Chantel, I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much we enjoyed your vacation home. It had plenty of rooms for everyone and the snow practically fell the whole time we were there. My grandson, his dad and my son and his girlfriend skied all day on Friday and Saturday. They had a great time. We don't get alot of snow around Spartanburg but when we came home on Sunday it started snowing around 3AM and snowed about all day on Monday and we got close to 6 inches here. Anyway I just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed your vacation home and I wouldn't hesitate to rent it again next time I come to Sugar. God Bless you and have a great New Year! Sincerely, Linda SmithDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a great house, we had plenty of room and there were 5 couples and 2 kids. The game room is spacious. The bathrooms looked newly renovated and the gift basket was a very nice surprise. If there were any one thing that I would say it could use is more pots or larger pots like for cooking stews we like to cook chili and chicken stew when its cold out, with a large crowd sometimes you need to make more than one pot. I loved the fact that all the towels and linens were supplied. Over all this is one of the best houses I have ever stayed in. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again. I definitely would recommend this house to a friend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Cozy - Clean - Comfortable, everything you want in a vacation rental but it was the little things that put this place on the must visit again list. A welcome gift basket, a great selection of family board games, and tons of dishes and cooking utensils were the icing on the cake that made our stay the most memorable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Hi! We're Chantal & Tony! High-school sweethearts, married 32 years with five children, one daughter-in-law, three granddaughters, three dogs and a cat. Originally from New York, we've lived in South Florida for the last 32 years. I enjoy traveling, Tony loves race car driving and we both love to spend quality time with our family. We hope you'll enjoy our home.
Why the Owner Chose Sugar Mountain:
We were searching for a vacation home far away from the hustle and bustle of every day life in Miami. We wanted to find a location where everyone in our family could find activities year round and where we could relax comfortably if we only wanted to curl up with a good book. Sugar Mountain was the ideal location with beautiful views and countless activities to keep us occupied. When we entered this home and felt the positive energy, we could not pass it up.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This house feels cozy when we stay here as a couple, yet it is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate several families among the three levels when we travel with friends. We love going to nearby Daniel Boone Inn, a family-style restaurant serving delicious Southern cooking from a pre-set menu. We enjoy renting motorcycles with friends and exploring the winding mountain roads; we often find hidden waterfalls and country fairs and festivals. Come in the fall and catch the Wooly Worm Festival, and sit on the deck to watch the wild turkeys roam the forest around our house!
