  I am reviewing this place from a fishermans point of view. Families would also love this place, but we rented it mainly for fishing. So that will be the main topic of this review. My buddy and I had 2 days of vacation to use up so we started looking and found this place. This house was perfect. It had plenty of room, very clean and very nice. The private neighborhood boat launch was a nice benefit (didn't have to wait to launch) and the dock with the boat lift was also pretty nice to have. They also have a cleaning table and fresh water hose to clean the table and boat at the end of the day. You can even take your fish scraps and put them in the provided crab trap. Since it was a short trip, we brought sleeping bags and air mattress' to avoid the cleaning charges. If you have a longer stay and use the linens and the beds, don't worry, they give you a detailed cleaning list. If you do your due dilligence, you can follow the list to avoid the cleaning charges at the end of your stay. We will probably come back with a few more guys on the next trip. The place was perfect and dealing with Judy was a pleasure. We highly recommend this place.

  What a great place to stay, very clean, very affordable, losts of space. the fishing wasnt very good by the house but the pier is close by, some other folks were catching bull reds at the end of the canal. The bait shop is also just around the corner and they sell live bait. The house has a large weber grill that is in good shape. Cleaning the house is quite a job but with two people you can get it done in about and hr and a half. Judy is an absolute sweetheart just clean the house and dont break anything youll be fine. Definately would do this again. Marshall

  Our first visit and I am already planning for our next. It was very relaxing and I appreciate the fact it is pet friendly. My family and I had a great time, our only complaint is...it was'nt long enough. :-) I arrived a little bit early so I could meet Ms. Judy in person and she is as sweet in person as she was over the phone. To comment on the person complaining about the cleaning requirements, I will say I was a bit worried, however, you do have the choice to clean or not AND a detailed list is provided. I believe the fee is more than adequate. I will admit, I was worried about how long it would take to receive my deposit back...needless worry...we checked out Monday afternoon and my deposit was back in my account Thursday morning. We will be repeat customers for sure.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

  First, let me say that Judy is delightful to work with! My family and I recently visited this property for the weekend. We were all well impressed with the bountiful amenities! The home was well maintained and fully stocked. When they say you only need to bring fishing tackle and food, they mean it! We enjoyed a crawfish boil on the downstairs deck while we watched the fish jump. It was a very relaxing stay. The living spaces were spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be back this summer! For those who have complained about the cleaning situation, we opted to clean the home ourselves. Yes, it did take a bit of time, but was well worth the savings. I appreciated being given the option. It is not an unreasonable cleaning list. You just leave things the way you would want to find it if you were the next person checking in. One more thing, I think my little dog, Dice, may have enjoyed the stay more than anyone! It was a perfect setup for him to play and be a part of the fun.

  My family and I have rented in Treasure Island many times and must say if I would ever buy a home near the water I would defintely love to live in this subdivision. The house was okay. Thought the decor could use a little update. The bedroom that just has the double bed is really uncomfortable. I do not care for the nip picking on the cleaning of the home. I would rather just pay a non-refundable deposit on cleaning and be done. Downstairs on the dock is wonderful. We spent most of our time by the water fishing off the dock. Didn't catch anything that we could keep but the kids had a blast. So would we stay in the house again, probably not!

  Owner response: We pride ourselves in being a kid-friendly, pet-friendly, affordable get-a-way for the family. Our beds are identical, queen-sized, top-of-the-line mattresses that were purchased this year. We do have a rigid cleaning requirement to obtain a full cleaning deposit refund because our future renters deserve to enter an immaculate rental unit upon their arrival. Most of our renters do qualify for the full refund. Getting that refund helps to save them money. We will always do whatever we can to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible by providing personal service as well as many amenities that are not available in comparable rentals.

  My family stayed at Trojans Treasure July 4th weekend. What a blast! We caught several nice trout and my mom landed an 18 inch flounder directly behind the house.Had two really big trout break my line just as I tried to net (BOO-WHOO).You could actually see trout swimming into the canal from the upper deck of the house(UNBELIEVABLE) !!!! Judy is incredible when it comes to customer service.She answers all questions and requests and the house is very well equipped.Looking forward to two more visits Fall 2011. Thanks Judy for helping to make our stay wonderful.

  My family and I stayed at this beautiful bayhouse for Mother's day week-end, we had a great stay, the renters have a beautiful house. We plan to come back soon.!!!! Thank you for allowing us to have such a wonderful week end. Judy is a great person to communicate with.My grandkids loved it.

  Judy, we could not have had a better time. Every day was "The Best Day Ever." Myrtle (our little dog) loved the beach. (Via phone, other comments were that they caught fish every day especially under the house, everyone they met in the neighborhood was friendly and helpful, and they intend to come back next fall.)
