What a place! It took about 1.5 hours to drive down from greater Boston Saturday afternoon on major highways (a welcome respite from the major Cape traffic you'll find going farther down around Orleans/Chatham area). Any drive is bound to leave you hungry, so it was great walking through the front door to see the owner's meticulously researched "catalog" on restaurants, pubs, shops, etc. and myriad assortment of delivery and take-out menus sitting in the dining room. A quick unpacking in the spacious upstairs bedrooms and we were off walking to one of the local Italian eateries recommended by the owner. A five minute walk later we were seated and scanning menus, and around check time a quick namedrop earned a round of complimentary digestivos :) The next morning it was a ten minute walk to the pebbly beach. The water's cold, but New England blood is thicker than water so swimming is a must. And if you're not the swimming type, a brisk walk or bikeride along the adjacent trail is scenic and pleasant. After a draining day outdoors, the house is splendidly equipped for laziness and sloth. With an excellent booknook full of salty seafaring books and picturesque Kennedy bios, readers can sit on the quaint wicker chairs or sprawl across one of the comfy couches (make sure to call fives- nothing worse than returning from the shelf to find a rogue usurper!). If its a beautiful day (when isn't it on the Cape?) then mosey on back to the deck and pull open the umbrella for some sun and fresh air. If reading is not your thing, they've got every Bahstan-tinged movie to come out since Good Will Hunting, and TV is equipped with cable. All and all, an excellent and SPACIOUS choice to get away, close enough to the beach to smell the surf and close enough to town to enjoy a slice of quaint, local goodness.

I'm hesitant to let anyone know how fabulous this house is for fear it will always be booked when we want to rent again! Me, my husband and my twin boys (1.5) enjoyed every second in this house. It was the perfect size and it had everything we needed- not only inside but outside as well. The rooms were large, beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for my very active boys to run around. The sun room is a great area for people and dog watching- and for keeping the toys contained! The best part of our day was coming home from the beach and hopping in the outdoor shower. We all loved it. The location is perfect as well. Main Street is a 5 min walk, if that. And the beach on the other end of the street is a 10 min walk. I really can't say enough about the house itself- clean, spacious and it has everything you need. The owners, Chris and Annie, are beyond wonderful. They answered all the questions we had prior to vacation and while we were there. They are very nice, responsive, responsible owners and it was a relief to us that if we did need to reach them, they would respond. I would recommend obtaining a beach pass for the time you are there- that way you can visit all of the beaches Falmouth has to offer. We spent our whole 2 weeks at Stoney Beach in Woods Hole- wonderful for small kids. We can not wait until next summer!

Our family of four stayed at this lovely home in Falmouth for a week in August. Prior to our arrival, the owners were very helpful providing insights about both the home and the area. Their pride of ownership was evident and they were a pleasure to work with. We have rented many beach homes over the years and would rate this at the top. The deck with gas grill came in handy for several dinners and s'mores. The beds were very comfortable and the home was as clean as any we have rented. The décor was charming and new. We would highly recommend this property to friends, relatives and anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax on Cape Cod.

We had a wonderful stay the week of the fourth of July. Ages ranged from 17 to 82 and all had a wonderful week. My brother actually rented the house across the street for the same week where the rest of the family stayed. Our house ended up being the cook-out headquarters because it has a large deck and yard. Also, having a dining room, a living room and a sun room helped with hanging time at night. We did half the puzzles, played croquet, rode bikes (except the 82 year old) and ate lots of lobster. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. And thank goodness for the air conditioning in the bedrooms.

We have been renting on the Cape/Islands for the past 20 years - and this home rates at the top of our list. My family, wife and three kids, plus my parents had plenty of room and space to really enjoy the home - and not just utilize it as a place to sleep and shower. Perfect location, great layout, wonderful yard, and homeowners that are truly a joy to rent from. We will be back for many years to come.

We had such a great time at this quintessential Cape Cod house! There are several attractions within a short driving distance, but we really enjoyed the ease of being able to walk to the beach or town for shopping, dinner and/or ice cream. There is a concert once a week as well as a fresh market and craft show on the lawn beside the main street. After a nice day at the beach or walking around town, it was so relaxing to come back to this lovely house where our kids could play. The owners have stocked the house with toys, games, and books for kids and adults, and the colors of the rooms and the decor were gorgeous, exactly what I would expect in a New England beach house. We really enjoyed their large deck and back yard as well. Check out the amazingly fresh fish from the local fishmonger recommended by the owners, which you can quickly bbq for dinner after a full day of activities.

My husband, three young sons (ages 2, 5 and 7) and I spent one week here in August/September 2010. The home is in perfect condition: clean, well-maintained, organized and "as-shown" on the web-site. The owners have really thought of everything and made this a great home for vacationing families. Their pride of ownership is easy to see and appreciate. The owners are very personaable, helpful and patient. They answered scores of questions from me prior to our visit and called during our stay to ensure everything was in order, even as Hurricane Earl approached. The location is ideal - even our 2-year-old walked to town and the beach without much complaint. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Cape.

My family and another family (with 4 children under the age of 10) spent 1 full week at this large, comfortable,well-equipped home in Falmouth. The house is perfectly situated as it is a short walk to the heart of Falmouth (a specialty ice cream shop that always has a line up outside its door), a short walk to the beach and very close to the Falmouth bike trail. We used the house as a base for a series of day trips to beautiful beaches and quaint little towns up the Cape. Evenings were usually spent at the local beach searching for crabs and enjoying the sea air. This was our first trip to Cape Cod but definitely not our last. We would not hesitate to return to this home and have already recommended this location to many friend and family. I recall fondly a week of wonderful sleeps on comfortable and clean beds with windows open and fresh sea air cooling the space - it was perfect for a getaway. Thank you to the owners for thinking of so many details and making our stay so memorable and easy!
