Upon arriving at the home on Friday, February 15th we were amazed at how great the view of downtown was from the house. The house is perfect for large groups who are in town for any type of event from ACL, to SXSW to the Livestrong marathon. We had eight people in the house and we were all very comfortable and extremely pleased with the accommodations. We would rent the house again for a future event in Austin.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This newly built "dream home" in the heart of the Bouldin Creek area (very hip and funky) just south of downtown Austin was perfect for a weekend family stay. The exterior of the home is gorgeous-- very contemporary with a massive wooden door that sets the home apart from others on the street. Indoors, the home is spacious and modern with an incredible kitchen and a master bathroom rivaling only that of a 5-star hotel. The linens and bedding are lovely-looking and luxurious. The high-end kitchen boasts upscale European appliances and is equipped with everything you need for cooking or even entertaining. There are two patios-- one off the living room, the other off the downstairs master suite. Ceilings are high throughout the home and there are stunning views of downtown Austin from the open-concept living/dining/kitchen area. The home is within walking distance of downtown proper as well as the lively SoCo (South Congress) area known for its food trucks, funky eateries, and updated hippy boutiques. It's also extremely close to Zilker Park and the Lady Bird trail, a tranquil oasis for hiking, biking, picnicking, or boating-- all within city limits of Austin. Discerning travelers accustomed to upscale hotels and amenity-filled resorts will thoroughly enjoy this "home away from home" in Austin. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We typically stay at the Four Seasons Austin and this home exceeded the levels of even that very lovely, luxurious and comfortable hotel. This home is amazing. The furnishings are very comfortable and it is the perfect alternative to a high-end hotel. The linens are so soft and you can tell that the home and it's contents were all chosen with quality in mind. The design is beautiful and the photos of the house on the listing are accurate. The house is in a perfect location for anyone visiting Austin. We had such an easy time getting around and it seems like everything is within 3-5 minutes of the house. There are also lots of restaurants within walking distance. The house has everything that you need for cooking (even spices and condiments) and entertaining those staying with you. We had a lovely dinner complete with beautiful serving dishes, buffet service, serving utensils and vases for floral arrangements. We really enjoyed "moving" to Austin and experiencing what it's like to live there in a beautiful house instead of a hotel. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is accustomed to finer hotels. It will exceed your expectations. We plan to stay in this home on all of our future trips to Austin.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Stayed here with ten people in October and couldn't have been more pleased. Phenomenal house. Spacious enough that we were all comfortable, with tremendous TVs/appliances/sleeping accommodations. Location was perfect. Sharon was an incredible host, and we literally could not have asked for a better overall experience. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, and having stayed in Austin on multiple occasions but always in hotels, I can say that this experience topped even a weekend at the Austin Four Seasons. Felt that house absolutely merited the cost, and was a tremendous value for what you are getting in terms of location and luxury. Additionally, the check-in and checkout process couldn't have been easier. Thanks a million, Sharon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Six of my closest friends and I had the most amazing time in Austin and couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay! This house is absolutely beautiful and exactly as described by the owner. It was spacious, immaculate and fully equipped with everything you could ask of a high end hotel. While our stay in Austin was way too short, this amazing house allowed for my friends and I to reconnect and celebrate being together again in the most perfect setting. The trip would not have been nearly as memorable if we all had split up into separate rooms in a hotel, yet we were still able to enjoy the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The owner was very attentive and helpful and clearly wants to make the house the perfect setting for a trip away from home. I will be recommending this home to anyone I know that visits Austin!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

This home in Austin is a dream come true. Our family of 7,ranging in age from 23 to 87 spent four enjoyable nights here. It was the ultimate in comfort, location and luxury. The home is a perfect place for family dinners, conversation and a perfect place to make memories. We went to Austin to watch our daughter run a marathon. My mother could not have joined us if we were going to be in a hotel. Sharon assured us it would be perfect and she was right. She is a reliable manager and her home is true to the description. I would highly recommend this property. You will be spoiled by the luxury and location of this wonderful home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a wonderful Christmas at this house. It was very spacious and met our needs in every way. We loved the skyline views and location. It was great to be able to walk into the city, along Town Lake, to restaurants, putt, putt etc. Our only criticism was the lack of drapes/blinds in the bedrooms but understand from the owners that they plan to install those. We would certainly stay in this house again next time we are all in Austin.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Update: We have installed blackout roller-shades on all of the bedroom and bathroom windows and they look great! Thanks again for submitting a review.

We rented this house for the my wedding weekend. It is just as fabulous as the pictures portray. The owner was very helpful and was always there to answer my questions. My family that stayed here were so comfortable and were thankful to stay in such a lovely home. If anyone is considering renting this property, don't hesitate. It's exactly as wonderful as it seems!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

All of us were quite comfortable at 906 Daniel. It was great to have enough room for all our children and their spouses. We especially enjoyed the central location and the very fully equipped kitchen. It is a home I would recommend to others and would stay in again. Thanks for contributing to what turned out to be a perfect wedding weekend!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We rented this beautiful home for Austin City Limits music festival and could not have been more pleased! The location is perfect and we were able to walk to ACL and to downtown Austin with ease. If you prefer not to walk, it's a quick and scenic pedicab ride away! The home is outfited with fine linens and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The home is open and spacious. Sharon had prepared a lovely basket of goodies to welcome us and she was very helpful throughout our stay. We were seven adults, two couples and three single women, and the home was perfect. The back deck, which overlooks downtown Austin, was probably my favorite resting place. I highly recommend this property! Ciao!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This October our youngest daughter, who lives in Austin, got married. Most of our family lives in Nashville, TN so we had a decision to make about where we were all going to stay in Austin. Our choice obviously was to either stay in hotels or find a place to rent for the long weekend. Our daughter found this house and we decided that it would be better to be together so we decided to rent this home. What a great decision that turned out to be! This is a beautiful home. Modern, hip, well-maintained with all the latest features. It could not have been more perfect. And when you total up what the hotel costs would have been for our entourage, the price difference was actually quite minimal. And there is no comparison when it comes to the experience we had staying there together as a family. We felt very lucky to have found it and to be able to rent it for the weekend. I HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone in a similar set of circumstances looking for a great rental. Sharon Walker, the owner, was a delight to deal with and she made our stay that much more enjoyable. Believe me, until you've stepped inside this house, pictures cannot do it justice. It is a true Austin experience!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

"My husband, 13 month old daughter and I had a wonderful week in Austin, and most of the credit has to be given to our experience at this house. This home blew us away from the start! The pictures, while impressive, do not give justice to the true atmosphere of the home. From the self-closing drawers throughout to the 10 foot stainless steel wine refrigerator, it is obvious that no expense was spared during construction. These details just add to the ambiance created by breathtaking skyline views. To top it off, the owner was a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and helpful as we tried to prioritize restaurants and activities. While less expensive properties can be found to rent in Austin, this home is worth every penny! I have been staying in Vacation Rentals for many years. I would honestly have to say this is the nicest Vacation Rental I have ever stayed in. Inevitably when you go to a home you have only seen pictures of, even if it's a pleasant surprise, it usually doesn't quite live to the photos. Well this house is the exception. It is even nicer than it appears. The property is in spotless condition. The room sizes are very large, the bathrooms are fabulous and the location is incredible. The owners have gone to great lengths to make sure every single detail has been though out. They even have a selection of wines pre-purchased and in the wine chiller for purchase. Why would you ever stay in a hotel in Austin when you have the chance to stay in this unbelievable home!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I have rented several houses in Austin for the weekends and this was my best experience. Sharon was most accomodating and responsive. The house is every bit as stunning as the pictures suggest. The location is within walking distance of downtown and the hike and bike trail around Lady Bird Lake. I walked the lake each day and it was a very pleasant experience. Sharon arranged an in-house massage for the entire family that was quite a treat. Everyone in my family enjoyed the stay and wishes to rent the property again. I have recommended the property to friends for their family visits to Austin.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family absolutely LOVED staying at this location... it was so close to everything we wanted to do in Austin we were able to walk everywhere! Not to mention how comfortable, tidy and pristine everything was. The owner's made us feel right at home with a welcome basket, a wine selection, even mints on the pillows. We've already booked our next stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I live in Austin and was having some friends and family come in from New Mexico and Colorado and did not have the space to comfortable house everyone. I found the house online and sent an email requesting more information. I received a quick response and even an offer to come see the house as soon as I wanted. The house was beautiful and the owners were very kind. I ended up renting it for my guests and we had an amazing time. Everyone was very impressed with the home and it's location. We walked everywhere we needed to go and when we got tired we took a 5 dollar cab ride. It was a great weekend. My guests can't wait to come back to Austin and stay in the house a second time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The master suite bed is more comfortable than my bed at home, I would have stuffed it in my suitcase if it would have fit. The house is super close to downtown and will give you a better experience than you can get in any hotel. We've stayed in Austin several times, mostly in hotels and a few in other rental houses and this is by far my favorite! Sharon was so hospitable and even left a fabulous wine basket. You will leave thier house wanting it to be yours. Thank you Sharon, I'll be seeing you again soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house is beautiful and very comfortable, and the owner was very nice and helpful. There was a book full of information - places to eat, cab numbers, and more which were all great suggestions. The listing and photos were accurate, however there was mention of a room with bunkbeds that wasn't actually available during our stay. This may be misleading for those planning on needing the extra beds. While the house wasn't right down town, it was very convenient and was a nice walk in the morning. When the sun is out its a wonderful way to start the morning. Only downfall is when it rained it was hard to get a cab, and the walk in the rain was a bit too far. Overall I'd highly suggest this house to anyone looking for a place in Austin. Great spot.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks so much for reviewing the property! FYI - Cabs are definitely a hassle during South by Southwest (SXSW) but they are very easy to get any other time of the year.

I was married in Austin recently and my family stayed in this house. The location is unbeatable, they could walk anywhere they wanted which was great because they don't live here. They were able to experience some of Austin's best restaurants and activities that they may not have done if they weren't so close to the house. The owner leaves a book with great maps and recommendations for the guests to use and my family was able to familiarize themselves with the area quickly using that. My mom, dad, aunt & uncle, sister, brother & their spouses all stayed there and said that the beds were very comfortable and the house was exceptionally clean. They really enjoyed being together for the event and it made my life so much easier (I only had to call my sister to get them all on the same page instead of calling 4 different hotel rooms). They said they really enjoyed being a family all in the same home during the event too - that was really special for all of them. I also enjoyed spending the night before my wedding with my whole family - which I couldn't have done anywhere else except my parents actual house. It was like they moved to Austin for a weekend (into a really nice house in a really great neighborhood). The house is nice and new with a contemporary feel to it. Kind of like the W hotel in how it's decorated but with some very 'Austin' art to appreciate. It has a great kitchen and main floor with a beautiful view. It had a good backyard but if I had kids I would take them to the park across the street or to Barton Springs which is less than a mile away. Overall, I would recommend this to any bride for her family, the grooms family, or even her bridal party. It's definitely cheaper than a decent hotel and according to my family, much nicer. Also, I got lots of kudos for the great idea which was nice to hear.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
