We offer a new (2008) beautifully handcrafted chalet that can accommodate up to 4. The Alpine Aria Chalet is a perfect place to enjoy a romantic getaway or for a family to enjoy recreation in the Girdwood/Alyeska area. We are located half a mile from Alyeska Resort, the largest ski area in Alaska.
The Virgin Creek Trail, deep in the forest with a beautiful waterfall, is a 5 minute walk from the chalet. You can cross-country ski right out the front door. The owners live next door and can help you plan your activities.
Local activities include viewing all the glaciers from the tram at the ski area, hiking the trails in Chugach National Forest, gold panning at the Crow Creek Mine and shopping at several local artists shops. There is a movie rental and grocery store within 1 mile of the chalet. We are a short distance from Portage Glacier, Whittier, Seward and other destinations along the Kenai Peninsula.
Fresh bread, bagels, cereals, coffee, teas, Juices, yogurt, eggs and other breakfast foods are provided daily. The kitchen is fully furnished with utensils, pots, pans and glassware.
