This was our familes secound stay in the cabin and definitely not our last. For our family of 5 the cabin is perfect. The location is great and local to everything you need. Our first stay was in the summer and our last in the winter. This is a perfect place in all seasons. My kids are already asking when are we going back. The owners are great and take care of anything you need. The house is very clean and very well maintained. The house is fully stocked with everthing you need (less stuff to pack and haul with you BONUS!!) I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great family getaway and some piece and quiet.

We had a wonderful time here. It was the perfect setting with top notch amenities and decor. Very clean and well maintained. The owners are great to work with and are very accommodating and we will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

Little Blackbear Cabin

We stayed at the Little Blackbear Cabin this last winter vacation hoping for a little rest and relaxation together as a family. It was wonderful: warm and cozy (in a good way), great movie selection, board games and enough space for a family of four to spread out. We also got a chance to use the snowshoes provided up at the local snow park. It was peaceful and quiet. We even got to bring our dog along. We definitely will make this trip again.

We had a wonderful weekend stay in Pioneer! The cabin is a perfect size and we loved the decor - very modern and clean inside. The deck was fantastic, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner out there when the temperatures were ideal. Highly recommend a trip to the high country (20-30 min drive down the road) to see Silver Lake, and also check out the swimming hole just down the street from the cabin (hosts provide great directions!). If you want to have a drink with the locals, Buckhorn is a great local bar. If you prefer staying in, the hosts have provided countless DVD's - very impressive collection. Overall, it was a fantastic and relaxing weekend away!

We (3) stayed one night at the cabin and it was perfect for the night. Easy access to Kirkwood and clean and comfortable lodging. Looking forward to staying again.

Great Ski Weekend

Thanks to the amazingly attentive owners we had a perfect stay that allowed us to get a few great days of skiing at Kirkwood. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and will be coming back for another stay. The cabin is small and fit our whole group perfectly with a warm wood stove to keep the place toasty. The cabin was also fully stocked with DVDs which was great after a long day on the slopes!

Perfect cabin!!

We stayed here for five days over Thanksgiving and had such a great holiday! This place is perfect and has everything you need right there. The only time we had to leave was to get groceries and that was conveniently located only 5min away. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing, romantic getaway in a great place!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! We mostly enjoy coziness of the home, therefore we spent most of out time at the cabin relaxing. The cabin has everything that you need, my daughter loved this place and was so excited about all the movies and games. We also took a trip down to the lake which was just few miles down the hill. The owner of this place is very responsive, in timely fashion and very fair. Even though I did not have a Paypal account set up it took me less then a minute to pay the owner, within the 24 of our stay my deposit was refunded back to my account. We are looking forward to going up again in the summer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I haven't met the owners but they seem to want to make sure you're taken care of. The left a well thought out binder that list all kinds of things to do in the area which was a big plus in my book. No need to bring movies because they have a catalog of various titles. I would say that the photos were right on the money on how the property looks and it was very clean.

Thank you for sharing your cabin. It is such a relief knowing all you need is your food, clothes and personnal items for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The cabin is stocked for all your needs. Being able to bring our best friend (our lab) was a special treat for us. The location is perfect, close to golf, fishing, hiking and the Mother Lode. The scenery driving up 88 is beautiful. We had such an enjoyable time,it was hard to give it up to return to the rat race.You will not find a deal like this anywhere else, we searched many locations for the perfect place. This is the perfect place. Can't wait to go back.

We just got back from our stay at the cabin and wanted to let you know how wonderful it was! The home is close to so many great places for fishing, hiking, exploring, or simply relaxing. The cabin was very well stocked with everything we needed and was clean and nicely decorated. Trevor was great about letting us book last minute! Our family really enjoyed our stay! It is a nice cozy cabin where we felt right at home, we took a tour of the underground caverns and took a trip to the casino which were both close by. And the rest of the time just relaxed and enjoyed the view! The owners were great with any questions I had with a quick response, The payments were done through Pay-pal which was quick safe and easy,. with my deposit returned quickly as promised, We are looking forward to going up again in the summer to see all the beautiful lakes everyone told us about. This cabin is exactly what the description says.and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for sharing your home with us! :) The Casey Family.

Exactly what we wanted during our stay.

First off, Trevor was very helpful with everything for the house. The house itself was great. There is a master bedroom on the first floor and a loft for the second. We stayed in the loft- it's cozier. The wood burning stove did an amazing job of warming the house- even in the middle of winter. Just stuff it with wood and cut the air to a minimum before you go to sleep and it'll do its job. The Dirksons were forward thinking enough to actually have a pass to the local Sno Park for guests to use. We took that and the snowshoes they have at the house to tromp around the snow. There is a nice little market close by or a really good one near Jackson, so we were able to have all our meals in the comfort of the house. The CD collection was nice and varied and the movie collection was HUGE. We highly recommend it to anyone who is interested and will definitely come back when we plan on having this style of vacation again.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cozy little cabin! It rained most of the weekend, and we just curled up by the fire and watched movies, it was wonderful. Beautiful spot, lovely home, perfect for a romantic getaway for two. Great stock of movies! We loved it so much, had a wonderful anniversary weekend, and will be coming back when we can get out and explore the surrounding area. Again, THANKS SO MUCH for a wonderful weekend! The pictures say it all.....this little cabin has it all. We needed to get away from the hustle of the bay area. This was a wonderful 3-day getaway for us. The cabin is totally furnished with everything provided except your food. The owners are terrific with great communication and a real caring and concern for your comfort. We give it two thumbs up. We definitely will be back....Thank you

We just really enjoyed and loved the place. It was such a cozy cabin. We stayed here during summer time so it got a little toasty in mid afternoon. However, this is something we already expected. Going up to silver lake was great for it was a little cooler up there and great for hiking. Sorry that it took us so long to write a little review but we really appreciate that you let us stayed in your cabin.

We absolutely loved your cozy little piece of paradise! A beautiful area with lots to do, summer or winter! It was so relaxing and fun. We bbq'd every night, loved the deck and the comfortable setting you've created in the cabin. It was clean and well-kept. Our dogs loved, loved, loved it! It was the most reasonably priced cabin we've rented (and we've rented a few) for what you get. Thank you for letting us share your personal space! I am so sorry for not commenting sooner. We were so lucky to get this at the last minute. You could not ask for ANYTHING more. We have stayed in many VRBO and have come to expect the "usual" do's and don'ts which are helpful but this had a guide for the area be it winter or summer. Since VRBO'S don't usually have housekeeping it is so appreciated to know in advance what is expected of us. We LOVE staying in places like this because they feel so like a home instead of a sterile hotel. I accidently locked the keys inside and they had a wonderful neighbor that helped us out. My dog, who I love traveling with, was made just as comfortable with toys and his own dish. I do so hope we get to visit there again and my husband and I would love meeting the owners. Again, please forgive my delay on commenting on your beautiful chalet! Jim and Robin..... of course Ham too.

We had a great time! We met the owner of Ham's Station, Tom and that was a good time. We ate lunch at the OK Coral and that was fun. You have a great video library and we felt that your cabin was perfect and we hoped that we left things as we should. Thanks again for a great time!

Everything was great. We had a great day of snow boarding @ kirkwood and a safe trip home.The welcome book was very helpful and obviously someone put a lot of time into it. Great job with all that you do with running your cabin. We enjoyed it very much!

We recently stayed at the 'Enchanting Mountain Chalet' in Pioneer and we couldn't have planned or expected a better trip. We made some almost last minute arrangements for our son's 8 year old birthday plans to hit the slopes for the first time. My wife wanted more of a lodge and condo feel however I was really looking for a camping style cabin that allowed for the luxuries and amenities of a cabin but still had all the comforts of a resort. We were more then pleansantly surprised by the cabin. -Several movies for your leisure -Great 50 CD music player and GREAT music selections -A guitar for your pleasure -100+ DVDs -Wood burning stove/grill to cook food outside -Great wood burning fireplace inside We loved our trip and the owners had the cabin more then prepared for our trip with tons of firewood, very clean unit, extra linens, etc. The easy paypal payment made life convenient and easy and the owners were always accessable to answer any questions prior to our trip. Our only regret was that we found the cabin very late in the season and we're already looking forward to our next trip. Definitely reccommend for small groups, families or quick getaways. We loved our stay at the 'Enchanting Mountain Chalet' Thanks again! Ali & Family
