Want to get away from it all and experience typical Costa Rica at her best? Treat yourselves to Casa Las Ventanas. (The house of Windows). This modern home with two pools is nestled on the mountain side overlooking Playa Matapalo, a small community with an interesting mix of International and local people just South of the Quepos/Manuel Antonio Area.
This beautiful home has over 3500 sq ft. of living space with three bedrooms, three and one half baths and can comfortably accommodate up to eight people. It is fully equipped with washer and dryer, inside and outside kitchens and air conditioning in the bedrooms. The property has 11 acres with beautifully landscaped areas. You can spend time lounging in the dipping pool on the terrace or the oversized pool which is set below the house in the jungle next to your very own waterfall. (The waterfall is less enthusiastic in summer then in winter.)The large pool is situated below the main house and has its own rancho with kitchen, living room and sleeping loft along with a separate bath and shower. There are plenty of hammocks so you can spend an hour or the day.
If surfing and beaching is your thing you can visit beautiful Playa Matapalo. The beaches go on for miles and is never crowded. This property is conveniently located halfway between Quepos/Manuel Antonio and Dominical. The best of both worlds now that the road is almost finished. You can go surf in Dominical or visit the park in Manuel Antonio one of Costa Rica's most popular destination. (Less than twenty minutes from the Quepos Airport.)
Early morning and late evening are best for spotting monkeys near the waterfall, while whales have been spotted in the ocean while just lounging on the balconies. Gorgeous Blue Morpho butterflies can be seen, along with various birds and many Toucans, Parrots and colorful Humming Birds. When night falls you can enjoy some of the most gorgeous sunsets in the world along with an array of lightning bugs.
While in the area you might want to visit some of the area activities such as the Manuel Antonio Park or Hacienda Baru for their Zip Line. If you like to ride horses you can visit Claudia at the beach or the famous Don Lulo horseback tour to Nauyaca Falls.
Cleaning and cooking can be provided for a reasonable rate. Our caretaker is very attentive, speaks good English and will help you in anyway he can.
