Just returned from a great week at this property. The home has plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group. The yard, pool, views are AMAZING! And the location is great! So close to everything, restaurants, Lauderdale by the Sea area is so much fun and blocks from picking up the water taxi! Debbie was available if we needed anything, which we didn't. Thanks for a great vacation! Hope to return soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Our family stayed at this house with another family for spring break (total of 9) and had a great time. The house was very spacious and the master bedrooms were huge! The best part of the house is the "back yard". The house has a nice size pool (heated too), a hot tub, and a dining area that sits beach front! The pool is visible from inside the house so you could be preparing a meal and also keeping an eye on the kids! Our kids spent most of their time in the pool and hot tub but also could go out to the beach at any time to dip their feet in the water. The house also provides a couple of kayaks in which to explore the miles of beach. We saved a lot of money, shopping at Costco in Fort Lauderdale and cooking beachside! This property is also within walking distance to the water taxi.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family and friends came all the way from Argentina to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were so overjoyed when we arrived as all of us could not believe just how beautiful this house and property are. It was like a dream come true and much nicer than we ever could have expected. The expansive backyard sits right on the sand of the Atlantic ocean. We literally walked out the huge private backyard right onto the sand. Even though we arrived a couple of days after hurricane Sandy the owner and his assistant Debbie did everything they could to assist us so that all of us had the best vacation of our lives. We loved the extremely large jacuzzi and also enjoyed using the owner's kayaks. We think this house and property is nothing short of amazing and can't wait to come back again. This home has a lot of great things going for it. Lots of space, a big kitchen, a great back yard with beach access, a large pool, and a large hot tub. A couple of recommendations if you are thinking of staying here. Get pictures of all the bedrooms, we were disappointed with one of them. It was on the lowest level of the house and it felt sort of dark and cold. No one in our group wanted to stay in that room so we spread the kids throughout the other bedrooms. There were a few issues during our stay that you will want to make sure have been addressed before you sign up. The sewer backed up into the laundry room. The property manager got a plumber and a city crew there that same night and a floor cleaner to clean up inside the next day. The city crew pulled a bunch of roots from the line and got it unplugged, but they said it would need a more permanent fix. In one room termites came out of a wall behind a bed and crawled on our kids. The exterminator who came to check things out said that the house might need to be tented and bombed to get rid of them. The air conditioner for the master bedroom didn't work. It wasn't just a matter of the a/c not being able to keep up, I looked at the compressor unit for the master bedroom and even though it was running continuously it wasn't sending cool refrigerant into the house. You should do a quick inspection when you arrive to make sure the place is as clean as it should be. A party was hosted at the house the night before we arrived and we had to pick up leftover cocktails and trash in the back yard and we had to fish out some party trash from the pool. We also found 2 dead cockroaches in a shower and cockroach feces in several utensil drawers in the kitchen. The cleanliness was our only complaint. The sewer and termites are things that can't be foreseen, but having the place clean upon arrival should be automatic, especially with how much is charged as a cleaning fee. We asked for our cleaning charge to be refunded, but the owner did not feel this was justified. I don't agree! I want to end on a positive note. We really enjoyed our time here and we feel the owner and manager did respond to the termite and sewer issues in a timely manner. They also provided us some perks for working with them so the owner could host the party. We cut our stay short by a day and they cut our price accordingly, provided a catered meal for us, and gave us use of the owner's paddle boards and boogie boards.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: This guest’s statements are simply inaccurate and not true. Unfortunately, some guests are never happy no matter what you do for them. That being said, this guest is accurate in stating that there was a fundraiser the night before his scheduled move in, to benefit children with severe disabilities. However, this guest failed to mention, that he and his family attended and enjoyed this charity event without making any kind of contribution. Additionally, the same night of this fundraiser (which was the night before their scheduled move in); they stayed as the owner’s guest (at no charge) in another oceanfront property. It should also be noted that the owner was even nice enough to loan these guest his brand new paddle boards both of which they damaged. We are meticulous in our maintenance. At times things do break and all we can do is fix them as expeditiously as possible. Our property manager bends over backwards to accommodate all of our guests’ requests and make sure their vacations are wonderful; as witnessed by all the other guest comments. With this particular guest, we are surprised by his comments as he seemed to be extremely happy and pleased the entire time during their stay and did not at any time mention they were displeased. In fact, just the opposite, they repeatedly said they were having an amazing time, loved the house and appreciated everything we were doing to make their stay a great one. Since we've NEVER EVER received a review like this and because it’s just not accurate or true, we'll trust that any other guests reading this review realize it’s not a reflection of us but rather a guest that could not be made happy under any circumstances. Our owner is only accustomed to hearing from guests that their family had the best vacation they've ever had and how much they loved the house and property. As witnessed by the numerous other comments from extremely happy guests, many of whom come back year after year, and repeatedly tell us that this is indeed an amazing property.

We stayed in the home for 1 week at the beginning of June for a family celebration and had the most amazing time. The photographs really don’t do the house and area outside full justice... I have travelled the world and stayed in many different places but this really is the best house I have ever stayed in. The view is unbelievable and each room is just gorgeous. Definitely a luxury vacation experience! The home is very spaciously laid out and there are plenty of separate areas both inside and outside that 12 people could still be together or be totally separate if they wanted to be alone. From sunbathing by the pool to laying in the hammocks, to relaxing in the hot tub to kayaking in one of the 4 kayaks, to playing pool in the bar area to watching the football on one of the many flat screen TV's in the home, there really was something for everyone to make it a unforgettable perfect experience and we all now feel depressed we had to leave. Ken and Debbie couldn’t do enough to accommodate our every request and made us feel like we were staying with friends from the very start. The location is also great with it just a short walk from some great bars, restaurants and shops, I can also definitely recommend the small Italian Bakery for breakfast. I would highly recommend this home and know if we ever go back to the Fort Lauderdale area we will definitely be visiting again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were looking for a place to bring down family from all over the country and wanted to stay somewhere more cozy than a hotel. Boy were we all glad we found this place - This property is spectacular in every way ! The house has a great layout for vacationers with lots of fun toys and private rooms. There are tons of bedrooms and places for adults and kids to sleep. Everything is well maintained and there are priceless ocean views from almost every room in the house. The backyard is huge and spacious - feels like being on a private beach estate in Hawaii. How often do you get to wake up, walk out of your back door and walk straight into the ocean? On top of all that, the owner and his staff were more cordial and helpful than any 5 star resort I've stayed in. This amazing setting allowed us to have the perfect family beach retreat. Anyone who rents this house would love it and have a great time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This is an amazing house for groups of friends to come together and have a blast. The kitchen is new and modern, the rooms are big with lots of natural light and the location is simply amazing. Besides being immediately on the ocean, the house is walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and other local businesses. The back yard is large as is the pool. There are 2 hammocks and raised table for outdoor dining. I also loved the way the jacuzzi is shaped in a circle and has a table in the middle. It is a great detail! The fact that it is convenient to Fort Laudredale airport made is very helpful as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

In early November 2011 myself and 10 of my friends spent a week at this fabulous beach house to celebrate my birthday. We nicknamed the beach house “the compound” because it truly had everything we needed for a week of fun, sun and relaxation. The experience was unforgettable in tribute to the luxurious accommodations, the many amenities (fully loaded kitchen, 5 star bedding, sound system in every room and outside, pool, hot tub, hammocks, direct access to the beach, modern furnishings and much, much more) the attentiveness of Ken and his staff, and location, location, location! The compound became our own private resort for the week as we never ventured away from it. We enjoyed early morning sunrises, breakfast on the patio, afternoons lounging pool/beach side, a trip up and down the beach for our daily exercise, early evening moon rises (you must book your stay during a full moon as the view is incredible) and quality time together in making and eating our evening dinner. Of course after a day filled with those events everyone needed a soak in the hot tub, which accommodated all of us at the same time due to its enormous size. The size of the house and the pool/beach area made everyone feel at ease in that we were never, ever crowded upon each other. Again, it truly was our own private resort in that everyone had their own private room and bathroom and the common areas were large. Not too large in that you felt separated but just the right size for our group. Everyone also had their own pool/beach chair too! It is hard to call attention to all of the amenities as everything in and outside of the house is top of the line but I must mention the sound system again as this was a very pleasant surprise. I had packed my own little portable speaker system that I intended to use outside in the pool area. However upon our arrival tour by Ken’s staff we were introduced to the whole house sound system and needless to say I never unpacked my speakers. Playing music pool side, during our “top chef” style dinner preparations or while enjoying our evening hot tub soak added just the right touch to sustain our festive ambiance. I have been fortunate to stay in high end resorts, 5 diamond hotels, and other house rentals and this beach house by far exceeded all of my expectations. No detail has been overlooked by the owner in renting out this one of a kind Florida mansion on the beach. My only complaint is that I only stayed for one week!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We needed a place for our family and groomsmen to stay when we went to Florida for our son's wedding at the Miami Spanish Monestary on May 30th. The Beach Compound was beautiful and just perfect for all of us! We could not have found a better place to stay! Our son and his fiance and their friends had so much fun playing pool, ping pong and video games, swimming in the pool and ocean, kayaking, etc...The guys who stayed with us said they could live there forever! We would love that too! The pool was especially fun for our grandkids who swam every day...they absolutely had a ball! The "big boys" had a great time playing cards on the back deck...near the ocean and away from the kids...hahaha! Those of us who cooked fell in love with the huge kitchen and grill! And the house was just perfect for us to host the rehearsal dinner! We will definitely recommend your home to all of our family and friends! We cannot say enough to describe the great time we had...this week was one of the most memorable vacations we ever had! And we are already planning a future visit! ...after we recover from the wedding! :) Kim, you are a sweetheart! Thank you for everything, Ken!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Eight of us spent a wonderful week (March 2010) at this awesome estate. The listing descriptions/photos do not do the property justice. The expansive oceanfront, beach, huge pool & hot tub, decks, gazebo and lawn areas are truly glorious. Minutes from the airport, first class restaurants, and water activities, this location with its stunning views is still uniquely private. The property is immaculate and the owner could not have been more accommodating. His "guest book" on everything from restaurants to masseuses, to private chefs is worth the price of admission! Terrific amenities - large screen TVs galore, bar, pool table, huge kitchen and master bedroom (The view of the ocean, beach and lawn from the master is a painting) We had an extraordinary week at this home - I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking a relaxing, first class experience.Did you find this review helpful? I stayed at this lovely beach house for three weeks this winter. The location was perfect for me and all my guest. Wether we were on the beach early morning, in the pool in the afternoon, grilling in the backyard or cooking in the large kitchen you couldn't have been in a better place. I enjoyed it so much I'll be back next year! MattRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My family rented this home the last week in March 2010. We have a large family and this fit all of our needs with plenty of room for everyone. The home, salt pool, spa, beach access and view were all incredible. There is really no need to ever leave the property! Inside is a pool table which converts to a ping pong table. On the nights and one day it rained, we enjoyed a pool and ping pong tournament. Days were spent in the pool and on the beach or in the ocean. Ken and Kim were extremely helpful with anything we needed. Lenore Nolan-Ryan catered amazing cuisine to the home. Thanks again for an incredible week!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
