Lovely two bedroom, fully stocked cottage located on small family farm 7 miles south of Hendersonville, NC. The property overlooks beautiful Lake Summit.
Enjoy the peace and quiet of a country setting. Zirconia has easy access to Interstate 26, 40, and highways 25, 225, & 176. We are just 30 minutes from Greenville, SC, 45 minutes from Spartanburg, SC, and 35 minutes from Asheville, NC.
Only 5 miles down the road is the quaint town of Saluda, NC with fine dining, antique shops, country general store (you won't find Wal-Mart here), and the world famous Wildflower Bakery. We are located in the heart of waterfall country with many just a short drive away. Bring your dog and enjoy training at the agility school located on the other side of the 15 acre property.
Enjoy the goats, sheep, and chickens. Fall asleep to the tinkling of sheep bells as the girls nestle down for the night. Take a nap in the white pine grove, but don't snore. You might disturb the baby Bluebirds. A morning hike down to the lake might be just the thing to get the day started. Eggs for breakfast ... you might have to shoo off a few crows, but our free-ranging hens will be happy to provide.

This has to be one of the most peaceful places to stay. If you like animals and want to get away to a farm experience, Summit View Farm is the place to go. It is close enough to town for all your shopping, but far enough out to make for a peaceful vacation. The Robinsons' have made sure that everything you need is available at the cottage, which is set-up for year around living. There are restful porches, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, full-size washer and dryer, and a garage (with remote opener) to make you feel right at home. We have spent many wonderful times on the farm, and our grandchildren love to visit. There is a gravel road for a beautiful walk by the lake, lots of birds to watch (even wild turkeys, sometimes), and of course, the many animals on the farm. The nearby towns of Hendersonville and Saluda both have a variety of shops and delightful restaurants. Two of our favorites restaurants are a "Day in the Country" in Hendersonville, and the "Purple Onion" in Saluda. Another favorite is the Flat Rock Bakery, where you can find fresh baked goods and delicious pizzas. We highly recommend that you spend your next vacation at Summit View Farm!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
