One of Folly's favorite stays, 'Folly's Best Kept Secret' was completely renovated as a personal residence with all the comforts of home. Centrally located, the home is just a short walk (3 minutes) to the beach and the fishing pier, which also happens to be one of the best surf breaks on the island! Center Street with all it's restaurants and shopping is just one block away. Relax and enjoy the casual lifestyle that Folly is famous for, without ever moving your car! Dine at one of the great restaurants, then take a walk on the beach or if you prefer, watch the sunset from the pier. Finish the evening with cocktails and conversation on the home's large screened porch. A true four-season home that's cozy and warm, it's also perfect for winter getaways!

You'll really enjoy the new-house comfort this home provides while maintaining it's casual 'Folly-style' attitude. Renovated in a contemporary lay-out, the living room is open to the large kitchen, dining area and the screened porch making it perfect for entertaining both indoors and out. There are two large bedrooms (both are queen beds) and two large baths. There's even a hot and cold outdoor shower. Perfect for two couples or a family of four. You'll find 2 cable TVs, Wi-Fi, DVD, and CD - all to make your stay complete. Parking is a breeze with 3 off-street parking spaces including one covered space. This house is clean and very comfortable!!

Historic downtown Charleston is just a 20 minute drive away and offers some of the finest shopping in the southeast but make sure to leave time to take in some of the beautiful historic landmarks that made our city famous.

About the owner: Ernie Banis is a Charleston native who has spent most of his life enjoying the beauty of Charleston and its barrier islands. A local residential realtor and avid surfer who first learned the sport on the waves of Folly forty years ago, 'I believe the cozy comfort I've incorporated in this home is perfect for the full Folly experience.' While this home is new to the vacation rental market, I've personally been involved in vacation rentals for years. Having managed family beach rentals at nearby Kiawah Island has given me a unique perspective on what makes for a fun and relaxing island getaway!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
In real estate the rule is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. I really believe my home's location, being close to both the beach and the nightlife, is an awesome spot.

Folly is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The minute I cross the bridge all my worries are left on the mainland! I've always found it to be a really good time! Both my daughter and now my grandkids have experienced their first 'toes in the sand' moment on the beach at Folly.
