Our home, close to Victoria and Sidney, has a luxury, town house-type guest suite with 2 private entries. The spacious tastefully furnished bedroom (437 sq ft) has a gorgeous view of the Gulf Islands and the BC ferries as they come and go to/from Swartz Bay. Floors are hardwood and cork. Adjacent to the bedroom is a full bath, including a shower, soaking tub and walk-in closet. The ground floor (585 sq ft), recently remodeled, features an open concept fully equipped kitchen with a center island for eating and using your computer. The sitting area features mission furnishings and wall-mounted large screen plasma TV. This area also has a convenient powder room. The suite features art of the world from the owners' private collection.
Our home is situated on a 1.6 ac lot with surrounding gardens which are gradually being changed in to a natural woodland garden. Residents of the suite are welcome to use the garden patios and scenic upper level balcony.
This is an ideal short-term residence for a professional who is working temporarily in the Victoria-Sidney area. We are close to the Institute of Ocean Sciences and within easy driving distance from University of Victoria and Royal Roads University.

About the owner: We are both retired university faculty members who have spent considerable time in African and Middle East countries. We enjoy working in our garden and welcoming visitors from afar. We have a Corgi dog, Kyla, and 2 Siamese cats, Isis and Bas, -- but they are not allowed in the guest suite.
Why the Owner Chose Victoria:
We love this scenic, quiet area where small farms are readily available for accessing fresh produce, eggs and many wonderful berries! There is a hard cidery plus several wineries near by, and some wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. Sidney 'by the sea' is just a few minutes drive away and almost anything you would want can be found there - including 11 used book stores. Our area has wonderful public walking paths and parks. Butchart Gardens is about 30 minutes drive away.
