  Last minute get-a-way and couldn't be happier with this place: roomy, pet friendly, great for kids! Updated kitchen, quiet and relaxing. Owner was very friendly and helpful and the place was a deal for its size. We will definitely return! Thanks!

  We had a wonderful time for the weekend, despite there being no snow (It of course snowed buckets the following weekend!). The house is much larger (and much nicer, really) than the photos indicate. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children and the home could easily have accomodated twice that number. The Master bedroom and bathroom alone is like a separate suite. The house is very well equipped for children; our 4 year old twins LOVED all the toys, games and art supplies, not to mention the fully-enclosed trampoline and hot tub in the yard (as did we adults!). The kitchen is well-equipped (although we were initially puzzled by some of the appliances) and we cooked most meals. The house is well-located, just off a stretch of Big Bear Blvd which has a wonderful bakery, a brewpub restaurant, shops, and the Alpine Valley recreation park with snow tubing and a really cool Alpine bobsled which my kids couldn't get enough of (tip: bring lots of cash though because they don't take credit cards) All in all the house was very clean, comfortable and well situation. Thank you!

  This home was great in accommodating our group of 10 people. We loved cooking at the home and sitting by the beautiful stone fireplace. We appreciated it's closeness to Bear Mountain, about 15 minutes drive. We did not have children but felt this would be a great place to bring them with the large backyard and the little children's room.

  We had the best time here. The house is fully stocked with toys and games to keep little ones busy! Cant wait for next year.

  I have been staying at this cabin off and on during this year and it has become literally my home away from home. I have become very comfortable with this home and sleep like a baby here! I highly recommend it and it truly has everything you need for a comfortable stay away. It's close to town and walking distance to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  Our experience at this cabin for our family had pros and cons. We were there during a holiday weekend so many places booked up and a priority for us was bringing our dog. We also done many VRBO rentals in the past so do so with some expectations. The pros were there was lots of space including the yard which was fully enclosed and safe for our dog to run around in. The cabin itself too was spacious and sleeps many people if you wanted. The remodeling of the cabin seems like it has not held up well. The tiles in master bath were very brown and moldy so we felt that although the shower appeared like it must have been very nice at one time it was not useable. Also the hot tub was not serviced and so unusable as we had arranged and planned with owner. The manager next door (Bill) tried to be helpful and was nice but could not assist us well with hot tub issue. The kitchen was fairly nice and provided basics and good seating for meals in dining room. Outdoor backyard deck also nice to sit out. Neighborhood location was okay, great for walks down to lake. Furniture a bit worn down not top quality linens if you are used it that. To walk to town was a bit long and on a busy street. For us we are used to staying in high quality places and this is not that but it provides you with good basics at a good price and a great yard if you need a pet friendly place. Owner did offer us extra nite free for not having hot tub working.

  Owner response: Since this review the sofa cover has been replaced and the hot tub service apologized for missing their weekly maintenance. The house has new linens and towels and is constantly being upgraded. Wendy I appreciate your review and assure you the house is exceptional value and very contemporary with only 3 year old appliances and fixtures throughout. The super low rate I gave you and the free night made it much more than good value.

• Great Spring Break!

  It was a lot of fun! We had 9 people in our party. The 3 teenage boys had the first floor bedroom, the 4 girls had the upstairs kids' room, and 2 adults had the upstairs master. The master has a jacuzzi tub just right after a day of skiiing or intertubing. There's also an outdoors jacuzzi. The trampoline provided much amusement by kids and adults alike! The deck out back gets the afternoon sun...beautiful! The location is nice - between Boulder Bay and the Village. Just a short drive to anywhere and avoiding the busy crowded areas. The only problems we had were connecting to the internet the first day, but we resolved it by the 2nd day. By the way, Wednesdays are discount movie days - only $3.50 all day! The newer Funzone Arcade is a deal for all ages of kids and their pizza is really good!

  Just stayed last weekend and this place feels even bigger than it says/looks! We were 2 families and the kids got to share a big room with 2 double beds that also had a little room off of the main room with 2 toddler beds in it. It also had it's own bathroom which was a total bonus. The kids played in this room for hours on end as it had so much to do in it and had plenty of room for all of them. Backyard was really nice too with the trampoline and jacuzzi. The house was big enough to find peace and quiet but small enough to feel cozy. Only had a couple of lights that weren't working in the kitchen and the second night we went out to the jacuzzi, we couldn't get it to get the water warmer. Other than that, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this house to other families! Thanks again Matthew for working with us - we hope to be back again!!

  We just stayed up here last weekend and we had a couple of kids from 20 months to 7 years old and it was very kid friendly. There was a full crib in the master which was great and the room upstairs was like a playroom with chalkboard walls and toys. The outside was great for the kids with a trampoline and the spa was nice for the adults. We would rent again Matthew was very kind and the manager who lives next door is Bill and he is very sweet.

  The moment we pulled up the driveway, my family thanked me! The house was very comfortable for our family and our dog enjoyed roaming around the backyard freely. Everything is pretty local and no more than 15 minutes away. The layout of the house was perfect. You will not regret staying at this place. Great family home~including your pets!
