The Villages, Florida is one hour north of the Orlando International Airport and numerous theme parks in the Orlando-Kissimmee area. The Villages is a golf cart community with over 100 miles of cart paths. Play free golf on any of the 29 Executive Golf Courses or pay reasonable green fees on any of the 11 Championship Courses including the Arnold Palmer and Nancy Lopez Courses. Relax in the neighborhood pools, play pickle ball, shuffleboard, bocce, horseshoes or try out any one of the numerous other activities. Several recreational centers are available and offer varied activities such as card games, line dance lessons and billiards. Dine in any of the great restaurants and enjoy free entertainment and dancing every night on either of the 3 Town Squares. Local shopping (Wal-Mart, Publix, Beall's etc.), doctors, hospital, banks, movies and bowling allies are all golf cart accessible.
The home is a three bedroom, two bath, ranch centrally located in the Village of Duval which is a ten minute golf cart ride to Lake Sumter Landing Town Square. Colony Cottage and Sea Breeze Recreation Centers, Havana, Cane Garden, Mallory Hill and Bonifay Championship Golf Courses and Colony Shopping Plaza are near by. The house is across the street from the Truman Executive Golf Course. The home has a two car garage, a laundry room with washer and dryer and a screened in lanai. A golf cart is included with the rental. The home has new furniture including three HD TVs. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open with vaulted ceilings. The master bedroom has 'his and hers' walk in closets and a master bath. For privacy, a pocket door separates the two guest bedrooms and second bath from the rest of the house.
The house has everything a renter would need. Just bring your toothbrush and be prepared to have fun!! All taxes, utilities, trash, lawn service, upgraded cable TV, local and long distance telephone and Internet service is included. The newspaper is delivered daily to your front door.

We (self, wife, 2.5 yr old son) stayed for 2 weeks over the Christmas holiday. The house is extremely well kept and has all the items you will need to use in the kitchen. Don and his family went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed and address any issues asap. Having a golf cart is a great benefit and even after we accidentally left the lights on, Don did everything he could to make sure it was back up and running. We hope to make this house our annual retreat in the Villages when we visit the grandparents. The reviews here don't fully capture the number of people that have a had a great stay in the house, so check out the guest book when you arrive.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

What a great way to be introduced to VRBO! It was our first rental and was everything the ad described and more. The neighborhood was perfectly located for golf and for the pools. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. Don knew the golf courses which was a great help for Barry. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

My husband and I found this rental on VRBO, zeroing in on rentals in The Villages with a golf cart and Internet access provided. This home is everything the listing says and more. It is so beautifully and comfortably furnished, in a terrific location in The Villages, and clean as a whistle. The owners were refreshingly friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to experience The Villages firsthand. Although my husband and I are not golfers, we had a ball sightseeing through the area in the golf cart and loved the easy access to the neighborhood pool. You will not be disappointed with this home...it is a real find!Recommended for: Age 55+.

About the owner: While living in New York, we purchased this home new and used it exclusively as a part time residence during holidays and school breaks. We have totally enjoyed visiting 'The Villages' and have taken advantage of all the recreation and entertainment 'The Villages' has to offer. We recently became full time residents and built a new home here in 'The Villages'. We decided to make this home available so that others can experience and enjoy 'The Villages' lifestyle.

'The Villages' is a special and unique place. The amount and quality of the recreation (particularly the golf) and entertainment is the finest in the world. This is truly 'Florida's Friendliest Hometown'. You have to experience it yourself to believe it.
