We stayed here in August, 2011, with a family of 6 (2 parents and 4 small children). This was ideal for a large family, with lots of sleeping space upstairs and a lot of room for everyone downstairs. The large lawn was great as well----the kids enjoyed the playground equipment, as well as the playground behind the school across the road. We also visited all the beaches on the island---also lots of fun for the kids. Remember to do your shopping on the mainland (there is a large supermarket in Leamington), as there are only limited groceries available at the co-op. Thanks very much for an enjoyable (and quiet) vacation week!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My family and I stayed in this house last July 2009 for a week, and we are staying in the house again this July. The House is perfect for a large group (which we are). There is a ton of parking (we have 4 vans and 3 boats). The lawn is very large. There is an axis on the side of the property that goes to down the lake and it is very nice to sit in a chair there and watch the activity on the waters of the North Side Bay. The house is spacious and super clean. The ground floor is all living space and the upstairs has multiple bedrooms that sleep many people. The bathroom is very modern. The kitchen is large with lots of countertop space and it accomodates our "Big Chill" meals easily. There are glassed in porches on the front and rear of the house. We like the layout a lot. In my opinion the house is located in the best location on the island due to it's close proximity to the wonderful bakery just next door, a nice resturaunt across down the street, the great "Sudder Bar" the other way down the street, and the needed boat ramp also less than a mile away. Biking is a major activity on the island and most of those bikers go by the house, which is fun to watch. I would and do recommend this house to anyone. Jeff Hucal and the Vernon Clan - S.E.
