Located in the center of London, this delightful London rental has been impeccably remodeled for your vacation comfort. The Kensington Cottage is in a quiet mews, which are the streets that were built in Victorian times, behind the main streets. They are the homes where the horses and carriages were housed behind grand homes.. They have been transformed into beautiful and charming streets.
Find 2 Bedrooms to sleep up to 4 people. The master bedroom has an extra-wide king sized bed with en suite bathroom. Bedroom two has two twin beds. There are two bathrooms.
Living Room:
Step through the front door walk up a short flight of stairs to the large and sunny living room, dining room, and open kitchen.. Hardwood floors and sea grass carpets blend with the chocolate brown sofa and plush beige linen armchairs. The designer sofas, arm chairs, and large leather coffee table cluster around the fireplace, creating a comfortable room in which to relax in your London apartment.. Three large windows provide loads of natural light in the London vacation rental and view onto the quiet Victorian street. There is a flat-screen TV, stereo, DVD player, free high speed internet.
Dining Room:
The dining room and kitchen are on the left. The oak dining table was made for this room to seat eight, it’s perfect for entertaining family and friends during your London stay.
Kitchen:
The designer kitchen of our London vacation rental is a modern delight. Corian countertops and pretty wood cabinets are accented with stainless steel appliances as well as an expansive stainless steel work island centered in the room. Find a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, convection oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker, as well as all of the pots, pans, and utensils you will ever need to prepare lavish meals. There is also a full complement of porcelain dishes, cutlery, glasses, and quality linens to set an immaculate table. In the cupboard to the left is a separate washer and dryer.
One of the best features is the fact that a Waitrose supermarket, offering a plentiful selection of groceries and ready-prepared dishes, is located next to the Gloucester Road Tube, only four minutes away.
Terrace:
One of the nicest is the private terrace with large potted trees just off the dining room. A rectangular teak table with an umbrella and seating for six means you can dine al fresco on warm days and evenings, or simply relax and enjoy a glass of wine after a long day of London sightseeing, taking in the ambiance of this exclusive neighborhood.
Master Bedroom:
Walk up the stairs to find the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Step into the London vacation apartment master bedroom on the right and it’s like stepping right into a fashion magazine. The king-size bed has a high quality new mattress and provides an excellent night’s sleep. There are tons of finely crafted built-in closets for storage here, and you’ll find a second TV with DVD player, making this another comfortable room in which to relax. Opposite the bed are large windows and a pair of French doors that open onto the second private terrace.. A small granite bistro table and chairs means you can enjoy your coffee here each morning, overlooking the quiet, cobblestone street below. In the peaceful setting of the Kensington vacation rental, it is hard to believe that you are in the center of London, but the bustling life of the city surrounds you.
Master Bathroom:
The master bathroom is en-suite to the master bedroom of our London vacation apartment. It features a porcelain sink, toilet, and glass-enclosed shower, all newly remodeled.
Second Bathroom:
Step back out onto the landing and find the second bathroom on your right. This small room also features high wooden wainscoting along with a shower, a toilet, and a beaten copper sink sunk into the counter — an elegant touch! Mounted on the wall is a towel rack with more plush towels.
Bedroom Two:
Straight ahead is the second bedroom, with two single beds. Find a Nordic Stairmaster® as well as a long desk. Exercise buffs can take advantage of the stairmaster to stay in shape, or jog around Kensington Gardens, three blocks away. There is free wireless Internet access here for catching up on work and downloading your emails.
We leave plenty of guide books for your use. And send a comprehensive information packet about the home and the neighborhood, including tips on food shopping and restaurants. We recommend a driver we have used for years who, can pick you up at the airport for a reasonable price.
