Beautiful sunrises and steps directly to the beach. Infinity Swimming pool with views of Ocean. Diving and snorkeling right in the backyard. Dive shop can pick you up directly from our dock.
Great walks around the neighborhood. Nice dinner can be had at Marble Hill Farms. If boating is of interest, local neighbor gives wonderful excursions for a fee.
Very tranquil setting, with outstanding panaramic ocean views. master bedroom is large with great breezes and kitchen is also very large to cook and prepare meals. Walks on the beach are also very nice with some minimal shell findings.

Renting a house based on pictures and reviews can be stressful but let me be the one to say that this rental is beyond what you could ask for. Not only did we breathe a sigh of relief but we giggled with 40 year old enthusiasm when we saw how truly private and beautiful the house and location were. The house has every amenity that one could wish for on vacation (except perhaps a cabana boy?). We enjoyed the luxury of our own kitchen, the relaxing deck and furniture to hang out on, the pool to relax in and around, and the sun rise as soon as you open your eyes! Even the breeze up on the hillside was a welcome respite from the sun and heat of the day. We were looking for an escape from the more touristy side of the island (we live in touristy ski country) and never even made our way to the west end. Everything we wanted in a vacation was right there. Diving with Tropical Island Divers was fantastic and we never saw another group of divers! Rum punch and chicken wings at La Sirena further east became a regular outing. We will definitely return to Total Devotion for another vacation soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This is the best vacation house, in a great location, surrounded by wonderful neighbors and scenery! Relax in the pool, snorkel off the dock, dive with Marble Hill Farms or rent a boat, buy fish from local fishermen right off the dock (negotiation of price is acceptable - 6" minimum for lobster tails to be legal). The East End is much quieter than the touristy West End. Frenchies 44 is good for lunch (I would skip the island there - pricey drinks, limited food options). Hole in the Wall is good for company, stories and food and drink. Overall a most relaxing place to be. I almost hesitate to share the secret!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I have just returned from a Two week stay at "Total Devotion," and we have become devoted fans. The house is ideally suited for a couple wishing privacy and quiet. The covered veranda was our usual hangout: high enough for a constant breeze, shaded, and away from Roatan's infamous sand flies. The neighbors were very friendly and invited us to the local "full moon" party. We had no security concerns. We rented a car from Dollars$ for the second week and had no trouble with the roads. However we didn't use the car very often; all the things we wanted were right there. The folks a Tropical Island Divers are only 400 yards away and will pick you up at the dock for diving. Several times we kayaked across the bay in the dark for dinner at Marble Hill Farms.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay. This is a truly beautiful house in a fabulous setting. It overlooks a scenic bay, catches the trade winds so that air conditioning is totally superfluous, and is very private. It is even better than the pictures. Everything is clean, well maintained and in good taste. The house (main house plus separate master bedroom annex) sits on a bluff, about 64 steps above the small beaches and the pier. So you will get plenty of exercise in going up and down those steps every time you go down to the water. The caretaker, Ralph (who like all the locals we met is very friendly and helpful), provided us with two kayaks, which is a great way to get around the bay and out to the reef. Also, make sure you rent a good 4-wheel drive. Access to Punta Blanca is via some pretty bumpy and really steep dirt roads. The first time you drive down the final very steep concrete drive is looks pretty scary, but it is all perfectly safe and after a week is was totally routine. There is plenty to do on the island, and one of our highlights was swimming with the dolphins at Anthony's Caye. Overall, we had a blast during our week's stay and would recommend this place to anybody who is fit and adventurous, loves the water, great food and fantastic views.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My brother and I shared a wonderful 10-day retreat here, and couldn't have had a more relaxing, safe, and comfortable environment. And, the views are not describable!! The owners have anticipated everything one needs, and all we had to do was a little grocery shopping on our way in from the airport. If relaxing by the pool is your pleasure, this is the place for you! If diving in excellent waters is what your looking for, then this is the place for you! If you want fresh-caught fish delivered to your private dock, then this is the place for you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I just returned from a one week visit to this extraordinary home. It may well be the nicest place I've ever stayed. It's on the less populated East End of the island about a 50 minute drive from the crowds of West End. It's a simple, peaceful, secluded yet elegant island experience and the diving from near by Marble Hill is some of the best in the world. I wouldn't have changed a thing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
