Beachwood East house description
You can’t get any closer to the beach than this 4 bedroom ocean front home!
Inside the front door, a wooden staircase leads up from the garage to the first level. Windows spanning the back of the home allow for an ocean front view that is second to none!
The spacious living room has a large flat screen television mounted above a fireplace. Next to the living room is the fully equipped kitchen, off of which is a laundry room. A large dining table with seating for 12 allows everyone to dine together. Open the sliding glass doors to enjoy the gentle ocean breeze.
To the left and right of the kitchen and living room you’ll find the master bedrooms. Both expansive rooms are appointed with king size beds and their own private bathroom. Sliding glass doors open to oceanfront balconies.
An additional room completes the first level. Here you will find a small desk and sleeper sofa. Outside of the room is the half bath.
Upstairs, directly across from the 2nd level’s entryway are the next two bedrooms. These rooms also have private bathrooms and walk out to a shared balcony. Hidden lofts on either side of the entryway provide the finishing touch. These adorable rooms are quite small, but do have enough room for each to hold a twin bed and small chair.

My family has been staying at Wild Dunes for 20 years and have enjoyed every summer at Wild Dunes. Because we have grown, we decided to stay at a larger house and this is the one we chose. What a disappointment. Yes it is very close to the beach, but that is about it. From day 1, the AC did not work. The temperature never got below 77 in the house. Maintenance said it would just take time to cool down...well that never happened. Everyday there was a maintenance call: Leaking vents, leaking windows, broken doors, broken tiles, scorch marks on the porches from previous guests, broken cieling fans, busted screens on porch, dirty carpet, dirty bathrooms. We finally gave up on Day 5 of the vacation because Wild Dunes Maintenance quit coming to the house. To future guests, good luck. I hope you're vacation is not affected by the lack of maintenance and care by the owner, or their property manager. We still enjoyed ourselves and loved the beach. I'm not sure which one is at fault, but someone should fix it now, before renting it to another guest. Wild Dunes is great, and this house and this week was the exception.

great location, repairs needed
great location, repairs needed
Loved the house and location except it became clear some repairs are needed in critical areas. While we were there last week (7/23-7/30): - window in right bedroom on main level has a rotting window frame that is in dire need of replacing. We had some bad rain and water was coming into room during the night on 2 occasions. Had to use kitchen garbage can and our beach towels stuffed into lower window frame to address and keep from making a real mess. (not repaired) - Screen on patio door came off frame. (not repaired) - Upstairs bathtub drain was quickly clogged in one of the bathrooms (property mgmt repaired while there) - wooden deck out back has large scorch marks and burned timbers on deck from a past fire. timbers need replacing as they look unstable to support people walking on them. (not repaired) We requested repairs be made but barely any were addressed. Replacement window promised but never happened. Be sure this is addressed first if you are thinking of renting this house!

Manager response: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patronage with Wild Dunes. I would also like to apologize for any inconveniences you experienced while staying as our guest. In response to the issues you cited above, I would like to offer you an update on where we stand with the repairs you were so kind as to bring to our attention. In regards to the leaking window sill, we currently have one estimate, and another one due any day, for replacement of said window. The coast is a very harsh environment, and sometimes it takes inches upon inches of wind driven rain before we find areas of concern such as this. Rest assured we are repairing it as soon as feasible. The screen door has been replaced. With the breeze blowing one direction or another all the time, screening is a constant maintenance chore. The scorched deck work was inspected by a structural engineer immediately after it was discovered weeks prior to your arrival. A contractor has already been scheduled to exact necessary repairs in September. The decision was made to hold off due to the continued structural integrity of the deck and so that we would not have to disturb or displace any current or future customers who are enjoying their vacation with us. I apologize if any of the aforementioned repairs were represented to you in such a manner that would have led you to believe that they would be repaired immediately. We wanted you and your family to enjoy the remainder of your vacation and not have the intrusion of contractors interfering with the remainder of your time with Wild Dunes. Please know that all repairs will be exacted immediately, and that no conditions exist that will put the health, safety or general enjoyment of our current or future patrons in jeopardy. Again, thank you for your patronage and we look forward to having your family return as our valued guests! Regards, Robert Baker Revenue Manager
