Relax at our cozy beach cottage, the Circle R, in Southern Shores, NC, located oceanside off of Route 12 (Duck Road) between Kitty Hawk and Duck. You will immediately feel at home when you walk in, finding a very comfortable environment with casual decor. There are many things to enjoy: kicking back in the living room at the bar, cooking up great seafood dinners in the galley-style kitchen, sitting on the screened-in porch, basking in the sun and swimming at our private pool, or sitting at the pool-side bar with a drink in hand. BUT - don't forget the beach! You only have a 3 minute walk where you can enjoy walking on the beach, sunbathing, seashelling, or surffishing in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean!

We just returned from a stay at the beach cottage. It was perfect for our family of five plus a black Lab. The photos don't really show how nice the cottage really is. We especially enjoyed the pool and tiki bar. We would definitely recommend it to our family and friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Southern Shores:
After visiting the Outer Banks for many years with friends (usually during the Thanksgiving Holiday), we decided to invest in a place of our own. Now we come whenever we can (or when not rented) with family and friends. Any season is great here, but we have become especially fond of spending Thanksgiving and Christmas in Southern Shores.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have really tried to make our cottage feel like a home away from home. Everyone who visits comments on how comfortable they feel as soon as they walk in. During warm weather (sometimes even into October) we enjoy time by the pool. This past year we added a pool-side bar, stocked with refrigerator and TV. Take our word for it, we never want to leave the pool!
During the colder months, we enjoy being cozy inside, watching football games and cooking up a big pot of chili (or some other winter concoction). And, holiday celebrations are the best at the Circle R! Of course, there is no time of the year that does not suit the fisherman in our family!
