LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION! This comfortable & inviting residence allows convenient access to the culture and beaches of Sarasota (Siesta Key!) plus equal access (10 min. drive) to Venice Florida, with its Mediterranean style and undisturbed Casperson State Beach.
Within minutes you can enjoy the elegance and quick pace of downtown Sarasota...but Venice, with its palm-lined esplanades, dockside restaurants, and enticing antique shops is also nearby. For your shopping needs two local restaurants, a bank, a health food store, CVS Drugs, and other shops are within a 3 minute WALK from the condo (try "Scrambles" for your breakfast and morning paper).
Beall's great new "Coastal Home" outlet store just opened next to CVS, featuring unique beach supplies, gifts, and gourmet foods. A Target, Super Wal-Mart, and a variety of grocery stores are within a 5 minute drive. There are numerous golf courses nearby too.
This is a beautiful end unit, non-smoking condominium with enclosed carport & guest parking. It's located on the second floor for extra security and superior view. Features include a large, 7'x15' screened lanai plus an individual private balcony for each bedroom. The lanai's arrangement provides complete privacy from every direction. You'll find a large, bright, eat-in kitchen with full-size washer and dryer along with updated appliances such as the latest ceramic-top range/oven.
The kitchen & adjoining breakfast room (with large double window) is nearly 18' long. There are spacious living and dining rooms with double sets of sliding doors to the lanai. Furnishings are traditional but relaxed (note the king-size brass bed in the MBR.) New 14" ceramic tile floors were recently installed in the kitchen, entry hall, and both bathrooms.
The Condominium has over 1,400 square feet of living space and, being on the upper level, has vaulted or volume ceilings in many areas. Its unique floor plan offers windows on all sides for gentle cross-breezes and very little common wall area. For these reasons the Pine Run community won a national design award when the first phase opened in 1979. The buildings were designed by Frank Folsom Smith, a renowned graduate of the Sarasota School of Architecture, and are a fine example of the post-modernist style.
This condominium is NOT the usual rectangle with the standard, shared living/dining room (see the floor plan below). It feels like a private home and includes multiple storage areas. There are even "pull-down" steps to attic storage from the ceiling of the master bedroom's walk-in closet.
Pine Run offers two heated pools and four Har-Tru tennis courts along with a dramatic clubhouse, fitness center, library, and other amenities. The larger main pool at the clubhouse overlooks a peaceful lake & fountain (see photo 2), while the second pool is just a 2-minute stroll from the condo. This luxury condominium is a short walk from exclusive Casey Key Beach (see photo 1) and next to the upscale SouthBay Racquet Club & Marina...a great place to go for sunsets. Nightlife and cultural attractions are all nearby.
The condo development is WEST of Tamiami Trail for easy access and there are NO STREETS TO CROSS to reach either the Gulf of Mexico or the InterCoastal Waterway. Also the Oscar Sherer State Park is just on the other side of the road for those who enjoy hiking, bird watching, canoeing, and other outdoor activities.
Truly there is no more convenient yet private location on this part of the Gulf coast.

- NOTE: Casey Key Beach is very unique because it's never crowded, even during the high season, That's because there is no nearby parking for vehicles, The beach almost exclusively used by area residents who walk or bike - inlcuding those from the multi-million dollar homes across the road. Other nearby beaches include those of Sarasota, Nokomis, and Venice, all within a 10 minute drive. Nokomis beach is a very easy bike ride. One other activity is the luxury of doing nothing but listening to birds and breezes.
