Of all the things there is to do on earth....skiing is my favorite thing to do. Next is traveling, so this is a great place to have. In Winter, the skiing is fantastic and Breckenridge is one of the best and most popular resorts in North America and is becoming a world destination. Since then, the area has grown and it has become a year-round resort, with tons of outdoor activities. The Summer is one of the best seasons, too. The town is charming and there are a lot of shops and restaurants and things for visitors to do. You need to come to Breckenridge, Colorado and you will want to come back.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Breckenridge is one of the most beautiful places on earth and it is a friendly town that dates back to the Gold Rush Era of the late 1900's. We are located on a mafor artery just South of town, in a valley between the 10 Mile Range and The Continental Divide. The views are massive and incredible, a forest is your back yard and you are close to everything, but don't have to share everything with your neighbors, like parking spots, hot tubs, and walls and ceilings! We are conveniently located 3 minuites from town, but away from the noisey partiers, crowded condominiums and ubiquitous restrictions in town. With the new Gondola at the base of the parking lot in town, staying here is the best idea since the high speed chair lifts! In the summer, you have 10 acres of your own to explore and enjoy, away from crowds and closer to nature. And the price is incredibly reasonable, too! It may well be the best deal in Breckenridge.... visit us soon.

5949 Highway 9 - House Location

The property is the first driveway on the right (mountain side of the road) after the third 50 mile an hour sign once you are leaving town. First sign is right after the Conoco station at the South end of town. These instructions work every time!!! We are located on a well maintained State Highway...easy access to town and the ski slopes. No getting stuck in private roads or waiting at traffic lights and pedestrians like you do in town!!! Plenty of free parking is available on the property, too, so you don't have to worry about someone taking your great parking space, like you do at the Condo Developments in town; no worry about whether you will be able to find a spot, either!!! This

Arapahoe National Forest/Miners Trail - Property Line

Our property line ends at the "Miners Trail", which was an actual miners horse trail made in the 1850's during the Gold Rush. The Miners Trail goes up the mountain and you can see acutual habitat remains of the Miners cabins...and also pretend that you are back in the Gold Rush days of the 1850's!!! It is an amazing authentic historical trail that will lead to the top of the mountain......it is absolutely amazing! The trail is now used for hiking and is well established and in the Summit Hiker, a local book of trails in Summit County. You have a tremendously large back yard to hike, sled for the young or young at heart, view beautiful wildflowers or even show shoe! It is tremendous fun!!!

Fishing Rights on the Goose Pasture Tarn

Fabulous catch and keep fishing rights (the only place we know of in the County) are yours when you stay at 12 Sunnyslope. We have arranged to grant you rights to fish and catch your limit so you can have more fun at 12 Sunnyslope! Be sure to bring your parking pass as evidence of staying at 12 Sunnyslope.

3rd 50 mph sign

After the third 50 mph speed sign, you enter the property by taking a hard right turn into the driveway. There will also be a forest service sign that reads, "12 Sunnyslope" so you know you are at the right home!!! The ski slopes are less than 5 minutes away when you stay at 12 Sunnyslope!!! That is all. We recommend that you park at the Gondola (Free and close in parking available), drop off your skis and skiiers and meet your party at the new Gondola Lift just minuites from 12 Sunnyslope. This is the easiest, quickest and most economical way to go...no long lines, no long walks and no fooling around about "ski-on, ski-off" condos that have great views of the parking lot!!! Come stay at 12 Sunnyslope and have spacious, luxurious accomondations for less than the "ski-on, ski-off" condominiums. With the new Gondola Lift, getting on and off the slopes is as easy as turning a key to your ignition!!!

Stay at 12 Sunnyslope and visit Breckenridge; you will have the trip of a lifetime and keep coming back for more!!!

I am a CPA and live in Dallas, Texas. I have a family of four with two daughters. We love to travel and going to the mountains is fun in the Summer and Winter. I have my own Accounting Firm, so I work a lot. When it comes time to take a break, I love to go to the Colorado Rocky Mountains in Breckenridge! I bought this house because of the beautiful mountains and the tax benefits....little did I know how much fun everyone would have at 12 Sunnyslope! We have had years of memories and love coming here time after time. Everyone loves the layout of the house and the beautiful land and forest we are on.....everything is perfect; it is the perfect place to stay!!!

Fun in Breckenridge for the whole family!

We had a reunion last summer and enjoyed the warm sun in the daytime and the crisp but clean night air. We went hiking and bike riding all over the place. Since we had several families come, we were able to use the large driveway for two campers as well as 5 cars!! The rental has two BBQs we were able to use for some meals out on the large deck. They have fold up tables and chairs on the premises for outside use and we enjoyed a sitdown feast. One day we went down to a lake (less than one mile away) and fished!! We caught so many that we had a fish fry that night...well actually we grilled the fish! It was wonderful. While the guys hiked, the women went into town for a fun day of shopping and eating. One of the best features is the huge hot tub located on the deck. We rejuvenated from the hike and were ready to do it again the next day. All the necessities of home away from home, especially the large capacity washer and dryer! That made it possible to wash and dry our clothes…so we didn’t have to pack so much. Our teenagers liked the high speed Wifi internet because you know they can’t live without their face book friends. They also have an extensive library of DVDs and cable tv to help wind down in the evening. Oh, I can't forget the Bose stereo!! What a great sound. If you are looking for a great place to have a family gathering…this is it!!

Ski and Relax in Summit County

This year we stayed for the second time in this great house in the mountains, which is now our favorite place in Summit County. Its proximity to Breckenridge makes the skiing there even more enjoyable and Keystone, A-Basin and Copper Mountain are also not far. The drive to Keystone and A-Basin even rewards you with spectacular views over lake Dillon from the Swan Mountain road. When getting back to the house in the evening we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed great steaks from the charcoal grill.

Fabulous stay in the mountains

We stayed last season at this place and enjoyed it a lot. Today we booked our second stay and are looking forward to spend a long weekend there. The house is perfectly located close to Breckenridge, Keystone and A-Basin for skiing. A short drive brings you right to the base stations. After a great day on the slopes you can relax in the hot tub and recharge. The house is offset from the road that you can enjoy the quietness of the forest. It comes with all the amenities, which make a stay pleasant. It is nicely decorated. At night you have a great view of the sky with lots of stars. The lack of light pollution from the cities helps a lot.
