Our week at this wonderful property went by very quickly. We walked on the beach, played golf, watched sunsets and sunrises, star gazed on the deck, rode bikes, swam, visited the lighthouse, and shopped in Beaufort. My favorite pastime was watching the dolphins and pelicans from the deck, it was mesmerizing. I felt very close to nature. We liked to ride in the golf cart and spot deer, which are everywhere! The house was spacious and had everything we needed; it fulfilled our expectations and more. The kitchen was well furnished, we ate out very little. The owner was accessible, conscientious, and helpful. We would highly recommend this house to a friend and plan to return next year.Recommended for: Age 55+.

I was fortunate to rent this wonderful home early Spring of 2012. It is probably closer to the water than any rental home on the island. It is located where the inlet meets the ocean, and there are an abundance of dolphins and sea birds as your closest neighbors. The house is very tastefully decorated and easy on the eyes. Wall colors in the main living areas and master bedroom are a perfect white, which to me just elegantly states "beach house". (As many people who have rented other people's homes already know, often decorative 'surprises' await the unsuspecting renter, and they spend the week trying not to see fuschia colored walls, unbearable knick-nacks, bad decorating, etc.) Not so with this house. It is perfect. It is located at the end of a road and fairly private, a beautiful spot. Unlike many of the ocean front homes there is no build-up of sand where the ocean used to be, but instead the water is just off the deck as the photos indicate. I felt like I was on a cruise ship looking out the large windows. The gorgeous sunrises over the ocean were compelling enough to get me up at a very early hour each morning. The Island is just charming! The house fabulous! And the view magnificent! The rental was everything noted and more. The owner was great to work with and I would definitely recommend this property to a friend. If you want to enjoy your morning coffee on the ocean watching dolphins and pelicans frolic right in front of you... this is the perfect location! The beach is a quick golf cart ride away with easy access.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home and Fripp island is all that it was advertised to be. Our whole group enjoyed a week of golf/beach/bike rides/kayaking/strolling/tennis/and relaxation on the deck watching the dolphins pass by. Home was beautifully furnished, spotless and accomodating for all. Area of the island is nice and quiet. First time to this area of South Carolina and will be back for sure!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

What a fantastic place! The floorplan is perfect for a beach house (we had two families staying together/3 children), very open and comfortable and the owner could not have been more accomodating to us. The views from everywhere are unbelievable and the ocean breeze just can't be beaten. Catching fish right off the seawall, deer walking through the yard daily....what a great home to vacation in, and we'll be back next year...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Vacationed in this gorgeous house on Fripp Island. First trip to South Carolina. House is gorgeous with views in every direction, great for kids, beach walks, sunsets, restaurants, pools, deli, golf cart ride to the ocean, saw dolphins from the deck. visit lighthouse on Hunting Island and downtown historic Beaufort.
