I come to Oahu on business 4 times a year. I always schedule my visits around the availability of the Rainbow Inn. It is just outside the traffic jams around Honolulu, centrally located, wonderfully convenient to freeways and shopping and an extremely good value. Terri and Mike have every amenity available from cook pots to shampoo, terrycloth robes to books. I love having breakfast on the patio overlooking Pearl Harbor where, like as not, there will be a rainbow. Please come to Rainbow Inn. I'll just schedule sooner to save my place!!

Just got home from our HI vacation, spent three nights at Rainbow Inn. It was wonderful, so relaxing....even for Oahu. Loved hearing the birds every morning right outside our door. And our own pool, basically. View is amazing. Very nice accommodations outside of the busy area of Oahu, but centrally located for exploring the island. Even though we were only there for three nights, we managed to see and do quite a bit. Thanks Mike and Terri for sharing your special place.

Upon our arrival at the Rainbow Inn we were greeted by a beautiful rainbow across the valley! We were in AWE before even opening the door. The location, privacy, and grounds more than exceeded our expectations. The studio nestled behind a serene pool, provides privacy while allowing the most beautiful paroramic views of southern Oahu, from westen mountains to Diamond head. Included is the beautiful & Historic "Pearl of the Pacific" Pearl Harbor (very nostalic for my husband, ex-navy). As we settled in, we discovered how well our host Terri and Mike had thought out this wonderful place. Lacking nothing, Rainbow Inn is completly stocked, and tastefully decorated. Shopping is close by (1.5 miles) and the stadium is a short 3 minute drive, for the world famous swap meet! As night fell, the lights of Pearl Harbor began twinkling, giving us a most beautiful and romantic view to accompany our dinner and cocktails. We will await our next visit to Rainbow Inn. My husband and I recommend this property to anyone looking for privacy, great views, swimming pool and all the wonderful amenities at the Rainbow Inn. They had everything we needed and more, from kitchen utensils, pots & pans, bath gel, shampoo, beach supplies, including beach towels, chairs, even suntan lotion, brochures just like you find at hotels. I packed too much, so don't make that mistake. The listing descriptions and photos are absolutely accurate. The owners were there if we needed them, otherwise we enjoyed the privacy. The owners were very helpful and answered my questions during the initial reservation process and all the way through our stay. They keep a very clean property inside and out on a daily basis, but are very unobtrusive and take care not to intrude on our privacy. As was mentioned in the listing, they provided a great assortment of reading material about the island and the activities that are available. This was a great help since it was our first trip to Hawaii. It was so cool to wake up every morning and look out the large windows and see the Historical Pearl Harbor. We had a car rental with a GPS and that was a lifesaver. We spent 10 full days on this vacation and it was too short. The people on the island were very, very friendly. My best advice to anyone wanting to make this trip, stay at The Rainbow Inn, but also fly to other islands. There is a lot to do, so make your vacation as long as you can. We took 2 helicopter tours with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, one that took us around the island of Oahu and the other on the Big Island viewing the volcano lava fields and then around the forest and waterfalls. It was fantastic! TOOK LOTS OF PICTURES. We also took a speed boat excursion on the Honolulu Screamer, which was great fun. The Swap Meet at the Aiea Stadium is a must see. It is open on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Lots of great stuff and great bargains on quality merchandise! Driving around the island was fun and we took more pictures. There is a laundry mat close by, which I took advantage of, also grocery store, dry cleaners, and a Wal-Mart. The Sizzler was nearby and we found a Subway and Pizza Hut. It was just like back home, but in more lovely, tropical surroundings. We loved all the green trees and flowering plants. We hope to make it back someday and we will definitely stay at the Rainbow Inn! Mahola, as they were always saying to us during our stay in Hawaii.
