Extras include breakfast items to get you started, a well-stocked kitchen including all paper products, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. There is a double sink and full-size refrigerator. Rainbow Inn is perfect for travelers and visitors who prefer the convenience of whipping up their own breakfasts or late night snacks.
Easy access to freeways, shopping centers, and great restaurants. Just minutes to the Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor, and an easy drive to Oahu's most beautiful beaches and the famous North Shore. This home is even better than the pictures ! A lovely, private hideaway just minutes away from the Pearl Harbor Memorials and out of the hustle and bustle of town and traffic. Our hosts Terri and Mike were extremely cordial and stocked the fridge with fresh ingredients for our breakfasts ( what a treat ! ) and made certain we had everything we needed for a quiet, relaxing stay. We certainly enjoyed the view over Pearl Harbor, watching the planes land at HNL in the distance, and seeing the lights come on below in the area. The sunsets were fabulous. All overlooking our private pool. Just a perfect place to unwind from our flights between the mainland and New Zealand. We will definitely recommend the Rainbow Inn to any of our friends who might be coming to Oahu, especially to those who are visiting the Pear Harbor Memorials. This was quite simply one of the best places we have ever rented in our extensive travels !Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Rainbow Inn for 10 nights almost a year ago. I have intended to write this review ever since. Right from the start, with the initial reservation, made almost a year in advance of our stay, Terry was very responsive, kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were absolutely delighted to find that the apartment, the pool and the setting were even more PERFECT than they appear in the photos. We arrived on our 32nd wedding anniversary and Terry, remembering that I had mentioned it almost a year earlier, greeted us upon arrival with an anniversary card and a lovely bottle of wine. Again, the word PERFECT. For me, the visit to Oahu was a stroll down memory lane. I had lived on Oahu as a teenager in the 1970's. We had lived only a few miles from Rainbow Inn so it was almost like going home - to a much better view and a private pool! No impersonal hotel with other tourists crammed together in Waikiki. Again, PERFECT. The location is central for touring the entire Island. The only thing to keep in mind is the traffic on Oahu. It can be awful. Terry and Mike are very helpful with trying to help you determine when best to go and come. If you are looking for beautiful views, privacy, comfort and convenience; this place is for you. We feel very fortunate that Terry and Mike are willing to share their slice of paradise and we hope to return one day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

It's difficult to find the words to express how "perfect" this property was for our needs during our August visit. Everything depicted and written by the owners about Rainbow Inn is true. My husband and I found it to be immaculate, peaceful, restorative, and convenient (easily accessible; central location to everything on the island)! Waking up to the sunrise over Pearl Harbor/Ford Island, the sparkling/glistening waters of the swimming pool at our doorstep, gentle trade winds, bird song, colorful bougainvillea, orchids, and tropical landscaping, and 105 KINE playing on our radio is etched in our memories forever! The personal nature of our trip only allowed us to be on Oahu for a few short days (also our first visit to Hawaii), but we couldn't have felt more welcome and comfortable at Rainbow Inn, as if we were staying with family or friends. Terri and Mike thank you for "everything" and sharing the "Aloha" of the island with us. We're already talking about when we can return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My fiance, his son, and I enjoyed our stay immensely!!! The view was amazing and we seriously saw a rainbow every morning. The pool was awesome and really enjoyed the fact that we were the only guests. Terri and Mike truly made us feel at home and our kitchen was completely stocked with all those little things like shoyu and ketchup that you would need to eat with. It was also convienantly located and since I'm from the area originally it was great to be able to have one or two over to enjoy the locaiton. One of my friends that actually live on the island are thinking of using it as a stay-cation for a night or two. I just can't say enough how much we loved staying here. We would recommend this place to anyone...unless you have small children who can't swim, but the owners are very clear about this and are only thinking of your safety. We plan to stay again, probably anytime we come to back home to visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My 13 year old son and I stayed here for 3 nights in early June (we are leaving today, actually). The view of Pearl Harbor is mezmerizing, and the apartment is perfect. There was food in the fridge when we arrived. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Terri is warm, friendly and hospitable. The apartment may not look it on a map, but it is very conveniently located. Just a few minutes from Pearl Harbor and the airport. One suggestion is to plan to spend an entire day at Pearl Harbor. I have been there many times before, but had never done the tour of the Missouri or the Bowfin or the Aviation Museum. They are all definitely worth the time and money. We were there from opening to closing. I'm really glad we found the Rainbow Inn. I won't stay anywhere else when I am in Honolulu.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I come to Oahu on business 4 times a year. I always schedule my visits around the availability of the Rainbow Inn. It is just outside the traffic jams around Honolulu, centrally located, wonderfully convenient to freeways and shopping and an extremely good value. Terri and Mike have every amenity available from cook pots to shampoo, terrycloth robes to books. I love having breakfast on the patio overlooking Pearl Harbor where, like as not, there will be a rainbow. Please come to Rainbow Inn. I'll just schedule sooner to save my place!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Just got home from our HI vacation, spent three nights at Rainbow Inn. It was wonderful, so relaxing....even for Oahu. Loved hearing the birds every morning right outside our door. And our own pool, basically. View is amazing. Very nice accommodations outside of the busy area of Oahu, but centrally located for exploring the island. Even though we were only there for three nights, we managed to see and do quite a bit. Thanks Mike and Terri for sharing your special place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
