It was over too soon!!!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed to make our stay confortable. The property was wonderful! We hiked all the trails and had piece of mind after seeing all the signs visable to ensure we stayed on track. The swings were great and a wonderful ammenity. After a long week in the city it was quite nice to see all the wildlife. Turkey, Deer, Herons and Hawks. We found ourselves spending alot the the time relaxing on the deck and sitting around the campfire, which was very peaceful at night. The only complaint is that I had to leave and go back to the city. We look forward to coming again when the weather is warmer and we can go tubing down the river.

The property is awesome. The cabins are cozy, but the views and surroundings are great. From the campfires to the nature trails, the horseshoe pit, the deck overlooking the river, the deer feeding at nite. The whole experience was great. Will definitely stay here again. We were unsure of the distance to helen as we love to go there each trip, but once arrived there was no need for anything else. We did go Sunday before our trip home, but its not necessary for an awesome getaway. Awesome Awesome Awesome

As great as advertised!
As great as advertised!
My wife and I arrived with our dog on a Friday for a weekend of relaxing. The place was as great as advertised - much privacy, tons of space to roam and play and great river frontage in multiple locations throughout the property. We used the provided tubes to take multiple trips down the river...would recommend this place if you're looking to get away, aren't high maintenance, and don't get freaked out by being in the middle of nowhere and with no one else around. We will visit again!

Beautiful & Relaxing
Beautiful & Relaxing
This was the first time I was able to bring my 11 year old dog anywhere. It was fun letting him be off the leash and seeing him explore and roam. He LOVED it! He went swimming off the dock into the Chattahoochee, hiking around the property on trails, he went to the gazebo which has a beautiful view of the river where it turns in two spots, watched geese and baby geese, tried to chase a lizzard and a frog, hung out by the campfire at the Starlight Cafe, and sat on the beach by the river. The owners of this property also came by and took my husband, the dog and myself on a tour of the property, so he got to ride in an ATV as well! OK, us humans loved all of that too (minus the swimming and chasing frog parts)! The cabin we stayed in was rustic, but had everything we needed (beds, tv/satellite, mini-kitchen, bathroom with stall shower) to make our stay wonderful. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and listening to all the sounds of the river and animals. We also loved seeing all the people tubing float on by. It's a beautiful piece of property and look forward to going back.

We were only here for two days but it was an amazing two days. We loved the cabin and the land! Our dog was able to run around and I didn't have to be concerned about where she went or her bothering anyone. The seclusion was a refreshing break from our everyday lives. We had a great time walking the property, sight-seeing, and fishing the surrounding area. The owners are so great and have made the cabin a very homey, inviting space. We look forward to returning soon.

It's August and I just book the cabins again , we are going up in October. My daughter found this rental 3 years ago and there is no other place I want to go . The place is clean and everything you would ever need is there. The owners and maintenance people are so sweet and would do anything in the world for you. Fishing is good and my dogs start howling as soon as we turn down the dirt road headed to the cabins, they know where they are going. Deer, turkeys, squirrels and at night you can set out side and listen to the wiper wills calling. I can't wait to get back. It is only 45 minutes from home and feels like paradise!!

We arrived on Friday with our dog who loved running and playing on the property. Couldn`t wait to get down the trail and "tube the Hooch". The water was cool and the ride was long. Riverside cabins are rustic but very nice, comfortable with gorgeous decks that make you feel like you are in a tree house. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone who likes the outdoors.Great gettaway. We`ll be back!

This is a very unique property with so many things to do on site. There are very well maintained trails throughout the property and several points of access to the Chattahochee River. The owners are taking great care with this land. We saw geese with babies, a huge turtle, and lots of deer. Sitting on the deck listening to the river is fantastic as were our visits to the gazeebo and the Starlight Cafe. We were not there when it was warm enough to tube the river, but it would be great fun in the summer. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfy, although with so much to do outside, we were not inside much. Great get away close to Atlanta for a family, or more if you take both cabins. We live in the area, so we stayed on the property, but there are many adventures outside of the gate. Cleveland, Helen, and Clarkesville are close with nice restaurants and other amenities.

THE BEST CABIN IN NORTH GEORGIA!!
THE BEST CABIN IN NORTH GEORGIA!!
I have stayed in natural settings all through North Georgia & there is none lovelier than this. Perfect peace & quiet, a lovely stretch of river to enjoy, unmatched privacy, & the cabins were both lovely spotless! I like how natural the cabins feel: beautiful, simple, placed so naturally in their settings just above the river with wonderful views. I am very impressed with the kindness of the hosts, who several times went above & beyond to accomodate me. They truly love this property & it shows! If you are at this website, look no further--you've found the perfect place to enjoy The Chattahoochie River at her best.

Perfect Rustic Cabin along the River.
Perfect Rustic Cabin along the River.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend with our dog and had the best time. Our 13 year old dog was like a puppy again running around and swimming in the river. A lot of attention to detail is given to the property grounds. For example, there is a tire swing located on top of the hills, landscaping along the paths, several places to fish, sit and read, or just enjoy the scenery. We took advantage of all the activities offered: fly fishing on the river, hiking all the trails with our dog, campfire at Starlight Cafe, grilling, and sitting around relaxing in the quiet beautiful surroundings. In the three days we stayed there we saw 4 turkeys, 2 deer, hawks, huge carp, many birds, and tons of turtles. The owners provide a book on turtles too, which I thought was a nice touch. One evening there was a short thunderstorm and the owner was thoughtful enough to call and check if everything was alright and we didn't loose power. (We did not loose power.) It is also close to Helen and surrounding attractions. Some of our favorite places were hiking to Anna Ruby Falls and Dukes Creek Falls, shopping at the Scandinavian store and candy store in Helen (the candy store has the best dark chocolate snappers/turtles) wine tasting, Old Sautee Store, and the mill at Nacoochee Village. If possible, I recommend going to Helen on a Friday afternoon/early evening. We drove through Helen on Saturday and it was very busy, river was jammed with tubbers, and traffic was at a snail's pace. We were very happy we chose Friday afternoon as the stores were not packed and we didn't have to wait at any restaurants. I will definitely come back and would recommend this to my friends.
