  We agree with the positive thrust in the other reviews for this property but it took us a day or two to grasp fully just how good El Mirador is. The images tell some of the story but not all of it. Quality floor tiles almost everywhere made it easy to keep the place spotless, even on days with a near constant flow in and out of nephews, nieces and dogs. Storage space throughout the house is vast and in the kitchen the units provide ample room for all the crockery, utensils and food to be stored conveniently to hand leaving the tiled work surfaces clear. None of the furniture is new, some of it is delightfully old, but it is in good condition, most comfortable and obviously loved by its owners. The well furnished and equipped outdoor kitchen and dining area, cooled by an overhead fan and with views to the east and west is a wonderful location. We also enjoyed a little overlook adjacent to the pool which provided a wonderful view out over the town of Comfort and east. We enjoyed early breakfasts at the table there watching the sun appear over the landscape. There are lots of other furnished spots outside geared towards other times of the year and activities. Comfort is a friendly and lively little town with a busy café and restaurant scene. We can particularly recommend Comfort Pizza, simply the best pizza we have tasted, even though we have lived and travelled in Europe extensively. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at El Mirador and are most grateful to Sue Ann, the owner, for her help and advice.

  My husband made the arrangements with Sue who was so very nice and so accommodating for this weekend. The house was clean for 8 of us, including an infant. The patio was absolutely great, and we loved being outside. The view was beautiful. We had a wonderful mothers day with my 86 year old mother & dad, and my daughter, 7 month old grandson and son-in-law and our other daughter. Although my mother took a spill in Fredericksberg and we had to visit the ER, we didn't let it spoil our weekend. Mothers day we grilled on the patio and enjoyed the view. Our grandson loved being outside as we all did. Thanks Sue for everything. It was definitely difficult to leave! We hope to be back.

  We have stayed in VRBOs all over the country and this has got to be one of the best! It was very well appointed, clean and private. The view, pool, outdoor kitchen and firepit was awesome! We saw deer every day and every night we sat on the patio and listened to the Whippoorwills. We booked the property for my mom and dad's 56 wedding anniversary, and they loved it. The owner's were very helpful, and we intend to book the property many more times. It is a pleasure doing business with professionals!

  Our family stayed at El Mirador last summer for 3 nights. We loved it!! My parents joined us for 2 nights and I was pleased to see how much they enjoyed the pool and patio area. There was plenty of room to spread out and our dogs loved the outdoors. Sue Ann was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We own a vrbo property in College Station, although it has a very different vibe, it was important for us to stay at a fellow vrbo's property.

  Took my wife, three daughters (5,7,16), and my Mom for the entire week of Thanksgiving. Walked in to a nice suprise of s'mores on the house!! Everything was exactly as stated. We all had plenty of room to sleep and spread out..... Views were awesome, and wildlife abundant, Pulling up the drive for the first time we were met by 6 turkeys! Too bad it was to cold for swimming as the pool looked teriffic.... Overall great experience!

  My family just came back from a stay at El Mirador last week end. We also have a property listed on VRBO, so I very interested in how the owners handled every detail from the beginning to end as we planned our trip. I was impressed with the overall experience from booking the house, to checking in when we left, to all the comforts of home that we experienced-it couldn't have been any nicer. The house itself is just perfect. It's beautifully decorated and as comfortable as sleeping in your own home! Sue Ann hasn't missed a trick! The decorating is beautiful. The property, setting and view exceptional. We loved sitting outside watching the deer and the hummingbirds and swimming in the gorgeous pool. Our 2 year old grandson absolutely loved the place. Sue Ann couldn't have been any nicer. The booking process was very professional and the information given made the property super easy to find. There was a very nice binder at the house with all sorts of information on things to do locally. I can't say enough nice things about this place. If you are going anywhere near the Boerne/Fredericksburg/Comfort/Kerrville area, STAY HERE!!! It's very reasonably priced and worth every penny. The three night minimum is perfect. We could have stayed and stayed. Can't wait to go back!

  Second time to stay at El Mirador. We met with family for a few days and had a great time. A big thank you to Sue Ann for making this house available to the public so we can have a home away from home. The house. pool, outdoor kitchen is perfect, well maintained and clean. The property is secluded, quiet and the surroundings are very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much and will rent again.

  Me and my wife spent 3 nights for our anniversary here for our 9th Wedding Anniversary. Our stay here was great. So peaceful and quiet, save the occasional sound of a vehicle driving down the road below. Not a busy road. And of course I can't say enough about the private pool. Dvd player didn't work so bring your own if you want to watch a movie

  We stayed at El Mirador for 5 nights and we had a great time. The kids loved the swimming pool and the Men loved using the grill every night. The house was clean and spacious and I have to tell you, we loved the HUGE shower in the master bath! The views were to die for and the hummingbirds in the yard were such a pleasure to watch. Thank you Sue Ann for opening your home to us and making us feel welcome. We will defineatley stay here again. Viva El Mirador!

  Where can such a diverse group have a wonderful time together? We found it at El Mirador. The owner has a link to direct you to more pictures of the property. But there are some things that pictures do not always show. The property is gorgeous with views in all directions. The house is an open, comfortable, well designed floor plan. We put the kids on aero beds in the TV/game room and called it the “bunk house.” The adults all had bedrooms that afforded privacy and quiet form the kids. The dining room was large enough for us to have family meals together. However if the kids were in wet swim suits, they could eat on the covered patio just outside of the glass wall at the end of the dining area. We worked a jigsaw puzzle on the table in the TV/game room. We had quiet morning coffees in pajamas (no neighbors to worry about) on the patio watching the deer. We roasted marshmallows under the black sky with bright stars shining singing “Deep in the Heart of Texas”. We watched the kids swimming in the pool under the shade of a huge old oak tree. If people were in the pictures of this property, they would be smiling. All 8 of us voted that we loved the El Mirador and want to return.
