We supply all linens. Access to the nearby UCSF fitness center and swimming pool is available for a daily fee.

Studio on Sixth was a perfect place for me and my wife to stay during our recent visit to UCSF Medical Center. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the medical campus, and close to bus and rail lines. The studio was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The garden directly out the back door is lovely. Our host, who lives in the main house upstairs, was always available by phone or e-mail if we needed anything, and he was as flexible as he could be in accomodating our changing travel plans. The studio is also within walking distance of a very nice commercial district with lots of reasonable restaurants, coffee shops, grocery and drug stores, and other services. I would stay here again and recommend Studio on Sixth to others. DMH, Milwaukee, WIsconsinRecommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We came to San Fransisco for the Outside Lands Music Festival and stayed here. The place was quiet and very quaint. We loved spending time in the garden with coffee. It is located near tons of shops, restaurants and transportation. I would recommend to anyone staying near Golden Gate Park.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

Comfy, cozy & homey little spot. We really liked the neighborhood. Considering this was our 1st visit to this city & we didn't know what really to expect in the various districts, we felt very safe in this area which was a combination of residential & small businesses. This rental unit is a separate, totally private downstairs apartment in a family's home up above. The apartment was neat & clean. We really didn't use the kitchen but it would definitely be adequate for preparing a light meal - especially breakfast & lunch. The refrigerator is outdated, but it may very well be standard for this type of unit in an older structure. The garden outside the apartment was very nice although we didn't use it since we were out seeing the sights of the City most of the time. The owner made it very easy to check in & access the apartment when we arrived, even if they were not available. Access to public transporation was very easy which was important to us, since we had planned to either walk or use public transportation. There were several neighborhood restaurants that we visited. We especially enjoyed a bakery called Arizmendi's on 9th Ave. was the perfect spot for breakfast - so good that we went 2 mornings! They were quite busy (good sign of their quality!) & finding a place to sit down wasn't easy, especially on the morning when it was so foggy & chilly outside. But their muffins were scrumptious! Highly recommend. There was also an Itialian eatery nearby - don't remember the name, but I believe it was on Irving St. Some of the furnishings could stand a little spiffing up, but overall, a good place for us & the price was certainly just right! Helped our vacation budget to stretch a little further!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 8/8

The website gives a good overview of the property. We found it utilitarian, nothing fancy and quite suitable for our needs; a good value. We've stayed at the Studio on two occasions, and expect to be back as long as we have family in the area. The updated garden area is very nice when the weather cooperates, and the location is convenient to shopping, dining, and recreation. The owners provide good information about San Francisco, and are readily available to answer questions and help with useful advice. Enjoy!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

This property is a charming studio apartment in San Francisco's "Inner Sunset" neighborhood. It is within easy walking distance of U.C.S.F. Medical Center, Golden Gate Park and the N-Judah Muni line. There are many good local restaurants and bistros covering a whole multitude of nationalities. Most are very reasonably priced relative to other spots in S.F. The studio apartment opens on to a small garden area. The owners were attentive to questions and concerns regarding our stay and we would certainly consider this property for a return visit.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+.
