This beautiful Luxury GROUND FLOOR 2250 square foot beachfront condo opens out to a very spacious covered terrace and its outdoor kitchen (including gas BBQ grill) that connect directly to the kid friendly pool/large deck, and then to the beach and Pacific ocean only 100 feet away from our door.

Inside, BOTH master suites have bamboo flooring, king beds and very large walk in showers with the finest stone finishes and chrome appointments. The third bedroom has two twin beds and full bath with large tub as well as shower. The large indoor kitchen has top of the line stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Kitchen adjoins the very large, open dining and living area. Exit directly from the kitchen and living areas to the stone terrace/deck, and from there to the pool deck and pool looking out at the beach and Pacific Ocean.
Nearest airport is Liberia International about 20-25 minutes away. Walk to restaurants/bars on the beach. Near local grocery stores, with larger and many shopping, banking, tours, casino, bars, restaurants & night life in Playa Coco about 10 minutes away.

Located in the small beach side community of Playa Hermosa, the 'Sol Y Mar' property has but 12 beachfront homes surrounded by single private residences and a few locally owned hotels, bars and restaurants. Only 3 floors high with few owners on site at any given time, Sol Y Mar is private luxury right on the water. Our ground floor unit #3C, has top-of-the-line and tasteful furnishings throughout. Each bedroom has a bath with porcelain tile and chrome fixtures. The living and dining area is spacious and opens out to the huge 'L' shaped, tiled terrace with outdoor kitchen and comfortable furniture for relaxing and dining. From the indoor kitchen with its stainless steel GE Profile appliances, gorgeous cabinets and granite counter tops, guests can step directly on to the terrace, and from there to the pool deck. Walking by the magnificent three tier swimming pool and hot tub, the Pacific beach is only 100 feet away. Inside and out, every area has ceiling fans and great lighting.
SHOPPING & BANKING: Small shops and grocery stores are near our home in Playa Hermosa. Larger stores, greater variety and BANKING, are 10 minutes away in Coco Beach.

By far the best place to stay in Playa Hermosa guanacaste! My family and I just arrived back from our stay at this property in Sol Y Mar and could not have had a better time. Of all the units in this condo complex this is defiantly the best one. We were the only ground unit that was directly in front of the pool with the ocean just a couple of feet away..... the pictures are one hundred percent accurate, its literally right there! You definitely had the feeling of the pool being in your own private back yard and only when other guests showed up did we snap back to reality and realize we had to share!! We traveled with 2 small children and 5 adults and found the ease and comfort of having the terrace right in front of the pool was invaluable! There was no need to haul a bunch of stuff out to the pool/beach each day because our unit was so close, it could not have been more convenient. Not to mention the pool/beach toys on hand that were at our disposal compliments of the owners! We didn't rent a car and found getting around by taxi worked great. For the most part we stayed local to the condo and surrounding area and made two trips into Coco for big grocery shops at the super mercado; a really nice store, has all items you would find in a north american supermarket. Otherwise we walked up to the luperon which was 15 min away for the odd bit of groceries we needed in between. All along the beach were little restaurants and bars which were convenient however we love to cook so we mostly ate in each day. The boys caught 11 tuna on there second day of fishing and we eat like kings for 5 days straight! Captain Al was great for the fishing trips he also took the whole family out snorkeling, even the baby! We would highly recommend him, he spoke good English and was very personable. My 4 year old son insisted I mention how nice it was to jump into the pool and swim back and forth. He literally learned how to tread water on this trip he swam so much! If my 7 month old daughter could talk I am sure she would say her favorite part was going for a dip in the pool and the ocean to cool off..... it was hot the whole time we were there, soooo great! I can't say enough about this place we all had such a great time and would definitely come back again. The condo, pool, beach, ocean.... it was all wonderful. The perfect spot for a vacation. We (my husband and I, and our two kids (6 and 7) and another couple) stayed at Sol y Mar during Easter week this year and it was great. The condo was very nice, and was well-equipped with everything we needed. It more than lives up to the description and pictures shown. The pool is right outside the condo, and the beach just beyond--great location for both, and great for kids. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lots of water activities nearby--we rented jet skis one day,and did a fishing tour and just walked the beach lots. good location for the airport, but not too far for many adventure tours. Scott was really helpful in offering suggestions on what to do and where to go. All in all, we highly recommend it and we had an excellent trip. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We rented this unit for March break and were delighted to find that it was even nicer than we had expected from the photos. The living-room and kitchen face the ocean and are nice and bright and the furnishings are lovely. You only have to walk about 20 feet to get to the pool from the porch/dining area just outside that are also facing the ocean. Another nice aspect is that it is only a 30 minute drive from the airport. The owner was very helpful and suggested a "meet and greet" service which I highly recommend. The owner arranged a fellow to pick us up at the airport and he was very nice and reasonable ($40 US) for 5 of us and all of our luggage. Cheryl and Daryl were there to greet us. Their fee is $100.00 and they had purchased the groceries we had requested and showed us around the unit and provided us with a lot of information about restaurants and activities. They were also on call for any questions we had about the unit or activities. I highly recommend the deep sea fishing people that Daryl sent us to. You connect with them through a tiny outdoor restaurant just down the beach. My son went fishing twice. Once with me and once with my husband and both times we caught lots of fish and cooked our catch that night. We felt very safe there and the people we met, owners and renters alike were lovely. This is a great place to bring your family. My sister and my 91 year old father were with us as well. I would highly recommend that you bring earplugs with you. Remember that this is Costa Rica and there are lots of wild monkeys etc and they can get loud during the night so be sure to bring the ear plugs or a fan if you are a light sleeper. All in all we had a wonderful time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with young children.

The house has an excellent location and it´s very comfortable. The rooms have a very good size and each one has it´s own bathroom. We had a great week – the condo is outstanding! We were extremely pleased with everything and will happily (hopefully) return again. It worked great for our family having easy access to both the pool and the beach which is deal for children. The beach toys left for kids were a great bonus! We had a great week – the condo is outstanding! We were extremely pleased with everything and will happily (hopefully) return again. It worked great for our family having easy access to both the pool and the beach which is deal for children. The “toys” left for kids were a great bonus! Just back from an awesome vacation in Costa Rica. Solymar 3C was a wonderful place to stay. The beautiful and totally laid back beach was only a few steps away. Often stayed late on the beach watching the sun go down, birds fly home and the stars appear on the sky... I would go back in a heart-beat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: I have been happily married for the past 13 years. My loving wife Joan and I have one child named Charlie who is now 13 years old. I was in Commercial Video Post Production business around 28 years, I have temporarily resigned from my business so I could pursue other ventures. My future endeavors include helping better our environment, volunteer for my community and possibly get involved in health care as well as spending more time with my family. I have been on the east coast, in and around NYC my entire life. 7 years ago we went on a vacation to Costa Rica's Gulf of Papagayo, we loved it so much we purchased a condo a month later. Vista Bahia condominium/hotel (A Monarch Resort Property)of Playa Panama was a perfect place for us because of the location to and from the airport and the privacy it offers. After vacationing in this area for years we found & bought this Condo at Sol Y Mar in Playa Hermosa. It was spectacular and larger and more luxurious then the first condo we bought. We vacation here at least twice a year. I am considering moving down to Costa Rica someday, hopefully sooner than later. I love fishing, working with my hands and many other hobbies.

I chose this area because this unit is directly on the beautiful, uncrowded beach of the Pacific: it is ALSO poolside with a very short walk of 100 feet directly to the beach and ocean. The condo is the only one like it, this magnificent, luxurious unit has plenty of space for large families. It was built with incredible detail. I have always been a beach person and love to fish. There is everything and nothing to do here, the choice is yours.
