Located just a short 30 minute drive from Hilo town and the airport, you'll vacation in a lush tropical setting that's only a 5 minute stroll to the infamous Champagne Pond where you can snorkel with the honu (sea turtles) not to mention just 300 steps to swimming in the stunning Kapoho Bay. If that isn’t enough, you'll have access to the fantastic private 40 X 16 geothermally heated salt water fed pool.
More swimming and snorkeling? Kapoho Getaway is just a 5 minute drive to the Waiopae Marine Sanctuary tidal pools. And the Ahalanui Warm Spring Park is also only about a 5 minute drive away.
The studio apartment is downstairs in one of newest homes to be built in the highly desirable, gated Kapoho Beach Lots subdivision. This studio was lovingly designed and built by the home owners (Dick and Kitty who occupy the second floor space) to capture the true plantation style and spirit of Hawaiian living. Dick and Kitty are full of the aloha spirit and are there to answer any questions that you might need, restaurant recommendation or to just sit, share and “talk story”. They are also VERY respectful of the guests privacy.
This studio emits the gracious and wonderful indoor/outdoor living that Hawaii is all about! Listen to the mighty Pacific Ocean as you dine outdoors. The Kapoho Getaway studio, with its kitchenette and lanai, is the perfect place to enjoy a wonderful true Hawaii vacation.
