My husband and I love our beach home. We have had many great times with family and friends here. It is just an hour and 20 minutes from Houston where we live.
Our two children have had birthday parties here and numerous friends along with them.
It is very peaceful here. Surfside is 4.7 miles away and is more populated by teenagers etc. It is more family oriented here.
Galveston toll bridge is only 10 miles away. Local fishermen often fish close to our home. We have been told it is a great fishing area. There is crabbing pier near by. Always a favorite with the kids.
We have spent many hours sitting on the beach or just sitting on our deck.

We had our family / fathers day weekend celebration here. The house is beautiful and clean. Very spacious and love th view!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed here last August with another family and absolutely loved it! The house is right on the beach with an outdoor shower which is very helpful. We loved playing in the sand, finding seashells, and catching sand crabs at night. The water is fairly shallow (waist to chest height on my 8 year old) for quite a ways out so it was very child friendly. The house has 2 decks. There is a small deck upstairs off the master bedroom with a bistro set and a large deck off the kitchen/living room with a picnic table and lots of chairs so it is easy to feed everyone outdoors if you want. There is a grill also. We loved this house and would recommend it to anyone. It is about 45 minutes away to Galveston, but there is a town fairly close where you can buy groceries and several resturants a 5 - 10 minute drive away. We loved this place for a relaxing vacation on the beach and are planning on going back this year.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We built our home in 2003. We got to decide exactly what wanted. So our home is very special to us. We chose this particular area because it is so quiet.

I enjoy being able to walk right out to the beach. I love to walk and pick up shells. I love being able to ride waves with my kids right outside my door.
