This was the second year in a row that we stayed at The Heart of Hammondsport. We had another amazing week. The cottage is so comfortable and welcoming, the dock is perfect for hanging out and swimming, and the location is great for walking into town for shopping, dining, ice cream! It's also in a great location for getting around to the many restaurants and wineries on this wonderful lake. We will be back. Love it here!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We love return guests and are so happy that you enjoy our cottage!

It was a nice small town lake experience. We enjoyed everything: nice weather, good food, wonderful cottage, spectacular views, especially this one from upper window... Also attractions of the lake brought us a lot of fun. Fishing, motor boating, tubing, water skiing were memorable for ever. We also enjoyed long hours on the deck sipping local wine.. Great family vacation!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing time on the lake! The cottage was so warm and bright. We loved walking into town and visiting the restaurants and shops. We had a great time fishing, swimming and enjoying the beautiful view from the deck. We had a delicious dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant. The service is great and the view was excellent! The view from the windows upstairs is spectacular. We can't wait to come back soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My children and I spent a week in August at this wonderful house. I have two children, a daughter 13 yrs. old, and a son 14yrs. old. Sometimes entertaining them can be a challenge. Not at this place! We spent the days in the water, because of the easy access off the beautiful docks that are directly out front of the house. When they weren't in the water, they were fishing from the docks. They caught so many fish, I was tired of taking them off the hooks! The house is locacted so close to everthing. After we parked the car and unloaded our stuff, we never had to get in the car again. Hammondsport is a great little town. Shops, restaurants, grocery store, and the best Ice cream shops. The marina next door has everything that the kids and I needed to fish and boat. We can't wait to go back next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed yourselves and hope you will return often!
