In this charming two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage, you’re surrounded by island life — literally. Mounted fish and other sea creatures dot the walls (there’s even a boar!). In fact, a lot of thought has gone into the decorations in our little piece of paradise — we want every bit of your vacation to feel like vacation, from the moment you wake up, to the time you fall a sleep. And a lot of that is in the details. The cottage is full of island art, like sea glass lamps and paintings. The cypress interior underscore the island feel.
We offer high speed wireless Internet and Direct TV by satellite, so you can stay in touch with the outside world if you want to.
Dolphin View House is nestled on a large property with three more apartments in two houses — so if you’re coming with friends or family, it’s a great way to enjoy time together, but maintain privacy.
Relax in the outdoor seating area under a thatched umbrella, cook up delicious meals on the grill. There are plenty of shared spaces, but the large ocean front deck is private - only for you.
Walk down the sand dune and you’re on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas. Miles and miles of white sand. Build a sand castle, collect shells or sea glass and swim, snorkel and explore the reefs. Kick it up for a notch and catch a wave, or go for a run on the beach right at your doorstep. Hungry? Thirsty? Walk on the dune to the famous Nipper's Beach Bar and Grill. Or, walk just about anywhere else in the settlement, too: Dolphin View House is incredibly central — just a two-minute walk to the settlement and less than a 10-minute walk to the grocery or liquor stores, or to the other bars and restaurants on the island. You’re so close to everything — but yet private! There is a private road leading to the property, so you are secluded.
Since you’re close to just about everything, you really don’t need to rent a golf cart. But, if you choose to, the rental location is close. Maybe you would like to rent bikes to explore Guana Cay at a slower pace.
Fly into Marsh Harbour (MHH), take an eight-minute taxi ride to the ferry terminal and then a short 35-minute ferry ride to Great Guana Cay. Make sure you check the schedules before you book your flight — there are several ferries each day, but the times change seasonally (In high season, the last one leaves Marsh Harbour at 5:45 p.m.). When you arrive, we’ll pick you up from the ferry dock and help you get settled into your vacation home.
After that, how you enjoy our island is up to you: But whatever you do, we’re convinced you’ll love it here.
