The Lodge at Green Landing offers guests a classic waterfront 1800's shingle-style Maine summer home tucked away in the village of East Boothbay. Just minutes from Boothbay Harbor, the Lodge at Green Landing is situated on a wide expanse of the beautiful tidal Damariscotta River, where the river meets the Atlantic Ocean. The Lodge's spacious deck overlooks the water, where you can see seals at play, watch great blue heron in the shallows, or osprey dive for their dinner. We offer an oversize dock, float and a small pebble beach for your recreational enjoyment.
The Lodge has 4 roomy bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, fireplace, wet bar, and commercial range for those who love to cook. Guests are offered use of the Boathouse; a spectacular bed-sitting room located over the water on the dock. The Boathouse is furnished with a king-sized bed, and a comfy futon couch, which converts to a full-size bed. It's the place to be if you'd like to watch the sun rise over the water.
Nestled in a private setting, the Lodge is within easy walking distance of the East Boothbay General Store (where you can get the morning paper, gourmet coffee, and scrumptious food), Lobsterman's Wharf Restaurant, the post office, and the Ocean Point Marina. You can picnic on the water at Shipbuilder's Park, or hike along the Boothbay Region Land Trust trails at the Linekin Preserve. See the local shipbuilding industry in action at nearby Hodgdon Yachts and Washburn and Doughty Shipbuilders.
When you arrive the beds will be made, firewood stacked for the fireplace, and the wind in the pines to relax you.

- Wonderful private location convenient to village amenities and only a short distance from Boothbay Harbor. The boathouse has a large dock and float where you can swim or boat. Watch the osprey and seals from the deck or covered porch.

- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : Ramp into the house, limited wheelchair accessibility to downstairs half-bath. No first floor bedroom or full bath (yet!).
- Kid Friendly : Green Landing is a wonderful place for exploration and imaginative play. Guests are expected to use caution and closely watch children around the waterfront. The shore is rocky, the water is cold, and the tides are strong, but you can fish for mackerel from the float!

Year Purchased: 1994
East Boothbay captured my heart as a small child when I summered here with my family. When my own children were young, I brought them to Maine, so they could share in the pristine beauty of the coast. Taking over this family property has been a joy and delight. Walking to the water's edge at dawn as the sun rises over the distant shore never fails to move me. Whether it involves tending the flower beds or kayaking from the dock, summer at Green Landing is truly the way life should be!
Why the Owner Chose East Boothbay
The village of East Boothbay, and the entire Boothbay Region offer the best of community life. The scenery is stunning, the people friendly, and the amenities are unsurpassed for a community of this size. The tides provide a rhythm to measure time; the ebb and flood are reliable, yet always different. The shoreline itself is ever changing, and yet constant.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The Lodge is a destination of its' own. Many of our guests come to Green Landing to simply sit and look out over the water, play croquet on the lawn, splash on the beach, or boat off the dock. While there is much to do and see in the surrounding area, simply sitting on the dock or the deck, and watching the change of light over the water is often enough.
