East Falmouth house description
Completely renovated waterfront house with a New (2010) deep water dock, within
walking distance (200 yards) of a private association beach.
This peaceful home sits on a wide inlet and overlooks Washburn Island-
a beautiful 330 acre undeveloped island that is part of the Waqouit
Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
The house has a wrap-around deck with stunning views; a large yard; a
small, private sandy beach; and a Brand New (2010) dock with 3 feet of water at
low tide which offers bridge-free access to Vineyard Sound. There is fresh water at the end of the dock.
This house is completely renovated: In last 2008 we redid the interior and roof. From
kitchen appliances to furniture- pretty much everything is new.
The Dock was replaced in 2010 and we added water at the end.
In early 2012, we replaced all windows, the front porch and trim on the house.
House Amenities: The house has 3 bedrooms and a loft and can sleep 10 people
comfortably. It has a very large 2nd floor master bedroom overlooking
the water with king size bed and private porch. Downstairs are 2
bedrooms-one with a queen bed and the other with a twin over double
bunk bed. There is a queen pull-out couch in the living room and
room for cots in the loft.
Other features/amenities include: Large Screen LCD TV, cable, high speed Internet access, WIFI network, dishwasher, washer/dryer, outdoor shower, patio, gas grill, beach with easy entry for kayaks, and new deep water dock with water.
There is an association beach about 200 yards down the street and a small, private beach at the house.

Vacation to Dreamland
Vacation to Dreamland
My husband and I wanted a place to retreat where we could relax--add relax we did. The house was clean, the rooms spacious and bright, well-appointed and the views were beautiful. The only thing it lacked was sunshine (we had no rain) but we made up for that. We enjoyed quiet walks in the evening and sat on the decks when we could. The ducks were a joy to watch. We explored the Falmouth area, which was abundant with shopping. The buildings were neat and the beaches nothing short of gorgeous. We are looking forward to our next visit.

At the time of our stay, our 3 children were ages 5 and under and this property suited our needs perfectly. We looked a long time for a waterfront house on the Cape and this is the best deal we found. The nearby islands provided hours of fun for the kids- collecting HUNDREDS of hermit crabs and just exploring and swimming. Surrounding the dock at the house, there are a bunch of big crabs and trying to catch these in the provided nets was a fun activity, too. We finally succeeded a few times, much to the delight of the kids (and adults). The house was very well maintained, updated and comfortable and the owner was very personable and easy to work with. All of the gear at the house was fantastic- kayaks, tubes, beach toys, etc. We had several family members visit during our stay and everyone had a wonderful experience. The only drawback for me was that the shallow water area at the house was quite mucky, but pond shoes alleviated that problem for the older kids. Babies/toddlers really can't wade in this water, though. Additionally, there was some work being done on the dock by a crew while we were there, which we didn't expect. However, that meant the dock was brand new, which was a definite bonus. Overall, our vacation was fantastic. As 2010 came to a close and we reflected back, everyone in our family chose this vacation for their favorite part of the year, which is why I felt compelled to write a review. We are looking to vacation in NH this summer, and I find the reviews to be very helpful, so I wanted to do my part to let people know that this is a fabulous vacation spot.

Lovely, private property on the water
Lovely, private property on the water
From first entering the private drive, and the water beyond, I knew that the location was perfect. The water went out to Vineyard Sound, but is very protected for kayaks and kids. There are no bridges to pass under going out to the ocean. My little 19 ft boat was right at home. The interior of the house was better than expected. I have rented eight other houses over the years around the area, and this was the best. New, clean, and well maintained, while staying in that classic Cape experience that I wanted. The kitchen is well appointed, and has a good view of the water. The master bedroom is very big, with a deck over the water, too. Yes, the water is what is most important to me, and this had all that I wanted, while being a perfect house to spend time in. The good bedrooms, good decks, and good location, gave me a Good Time on the Cape.
