Our 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath cottage is located midway between the village of Penn Yan and Keuka College directly on the western shore of Keuka Lake, the gem of the Finger Lakes, known for its crystal clear waters. Set away from the road, it offers quiet relaxation on a beautifully landscaped lot with 85 feet of lake frontage. Situated off the main route, our road is a popular walking path.
Sleeping: 4 adults in 2 queen size beds. A cot, youth bed can be added to one bedroom to allow sleeping for 5 people.
All the living spaces have wonderful views of the lake with large sliders and big windows. The living room/galley style kitchen and upper bedroom open to a large new upper deck that has a picnic table for outdoor dining. The lower bedroom opens to a new blue stone deck at the water’s edge with a porch swing where you can often view heron fishing from the dock. The dock has a swim ladder and mooring whips if you want to bring your boat (the public boat launch is nearby in the outlet). A rowboat and canoe come with the cottage for fishing. From the dock, it is easy for children to catch sunfish or adults can try for lake trout or bass.
We make improvements each year. The cottage is nestled into the bank with a few landscaped steps from your parking area. There is a landscaped stone walk behind the cottage that leads to a waterfall area with screened in gazebo, fire pit, another picnic table and seating area. Many of our returning renters choose to relax on the grassy lawn seating area beside the lake. There is an umbrella to shade this sitting area. The beach is gradual and safe for all ages.
We are old fashioned. We have a short time to ready the cottage for the next renter, we ask you to leave the cottage in the condition in which you found it. We ask that you bring your own queen size sheets and towels. All other bedding and kitchen towels are provided for you.
There are ceiling and tower fans in each room and lake breezes to cool you. The lake water is one of the best places to cool off and there is beach gear available.
Whether you plan to relax and enjoy the lake scene or travel to a variety of nearby attractions, we are centrally located. It is only a short trip to town and stores for your needs. We have been landlords for many years and enjoy sharing our love of the lake with our renters who have become friends. We will be available, if needed, to help personalize your stay on Keuka Lake and make it a memory to cherish. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Keuka Lake has a Ring of Fire to celebrate the beginning and end of summer. These two special days happen during the week of the 4th of July and Labor Day. If you choose one of these weeks, you get the treat of seeing beach fires, red flares and fireworks all around the shoreline. This is a VERY beautiful site to see on Saturday night before you leave Sunday morning.

We have enjoyed this Penn Yan cottage each August for 10+ years. Our week on Keuka Lake is relaxing with all of the comforts of home provided by wonderful hosts. A typical week includes reading, swimming in crystal clear water, exploring nearby wineries, restaurants, and shops. The off-the-road location of the cottage provides peaceful time to listen to the lake lapping at the shoreline right outside the cottage. We are able to create our own balance of away time with all of the needed ammenities while spending time exploring the surrounding area. Everything is provided for a perfect week that we look forward to each year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The property is clean and well- maintained. I love the waterfall and gazebo. Keuka Lake is beautiful. There were whips for us to park our boat to the dock. The owners are right next door so if there are any problems, they will be immediately taken care of. There are many wineries that you can visit during your stay. We love going to Switzerland by boat. We love going to Keuka Lake on vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This will be our 5th year at this charming cottage. It is an ideal spot for a family or for a quiet getaway. The two bedrooms are spacious and private with views of the lake. Nothing like waking up to the sounds of little waves on the shore just feet from your door. The kitchen area is efficient, clean and well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots, etc. The owners are constantly updating the cottage with new appliances, furnishings and paint. There is a dock available not more than 15 feet from the back door for your boat if you choose to bring one, or just lie on the dock and soak in the sun. And if the day happens to be cloudy or damp there is a lovely gazebo where you can curl up in a chair and read a book. The cottage is just minutes from town (wonderful pancakes for breakfast at Wagner's or an occasional ice cream cone at Mac's). And even though you are just 10 minutes from town the location on the lake lets you think that you are truly away in a secluded cottage on a spectacular lake. Take a drive to see a winery, a craft fair, a local museum. Or just bring a big stack of books, buy a good bottle of wine and relax for a week. This is the perfect place to do either.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: As individuals and then as a couple we have loved being near the water all our lives. Annette has spent every summer of her life on Keuka. We were married at Keuka Chapel in 1969 and several years later moved to the lake to live and enjoy its ever changing beauty. We feel fortunate to have raised our children here. We have had property for rent on Keuka for the last 40 years and feel fortunate to have introduced many people to the lake living. Many of those people have become friends and share our love for the lake.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
A sunrise coffee on the deck or dock, a cool dip on a scorching day, watching the sailboats from Camp Cory across the lake, rowing up and down the lake and chatting with neighbors or enjoying the ever changing personality of the lake -- from relaxation to activity -- the choice is yours.
