We're finally e-mailing about what a wonderful stay we had in your Villa in mid-May. The weather was picture perfect and the villa worked out beautifully for our family of four. The kids loved the alligator in the lagoon and our frequent trips to the pool and the beach were great, too. We had a wonderful vacation that we are STILL talking about three months later. Thanks for the stay. We'll definitely book it again.

Incredible beach house!

Our family loved this home so much that we began planning for our return to this home before we ever even left! The condo is so open and and comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean. Our entire family very much enjoyed the deck overlooking the lagoon / pool area. My daughter loved being so close to the equestrian center. We were very impressed when the owner contacted us the night of our check in to be sure we were happy with everything. Can't say enough good about this place, and can't wait to return next summer. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

Owner response:Thanks for your kind response. Our repeat rental business continues to grow. We try to treat everyone as we would like to be treated. We are always looking for ways to improve our guests stay.

Wonderful Condo

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo. It was extremely clean and in the perfect location. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of Seabrook Island. The beach is a short distance away and we also really enjoyed riding bikes all over the island. The equestrian park is right across the street and the kids loved walking over and looking at the horses. They would come right up to the fence so the kids could pet them. The owner was so nice to work with and was wonderful at helping us book a very last minute get-away at a great price. Thanks!

Owner response:Thanks for your comments! We work hard to make sure our guests have an enjoyable vacation experience!

Wonderful Vacation Spot & Great Value

Guest: Sun Loving Family (Michigan)
Date of Stay: 04/03/11 Review Submitted: 04/13/11

We had so much fun on our visit to Seabrook Island. The beautiful beach is so peaceful with sand that is perfect for walking, playing and relaxing. We saw dolphins each day we were there. The villa is very clean with lots of room to spread out. The kids loved riding the rental bikes around the island on all the bike paths and to the gorgeous community house to play ping-pong, basketball, swim and use the playground. It is a short 1/2 hour ride into Charleston but plenty to do right on the island. Owner is super nice, helpful and great to rent from. Everything was just as pictured, well taken care of and all around super value. We had the best spring break on Seabrook Island away from Michigan. Thanks for a great trip and hope to return soon!

Owner response:Thanks so much Michigan! We work very hard to keep our villa in top shape and to accommodate guest schedules. We continue to upgrade our unit to insure a great stay. Thanks again!

Home Away from Home

Guest: Anonymous (Kentucky)
Date of Stay: 09/11/10 Review Submitted: 09/27/10

We visited Seabrook in September 2010 and stayed at this lovely villa. Although a short distance away from north beach, we found the villa quite accommodating, well decorated, clean, and relaxing. All the comforts of home can be found in the villa. The bed was comfortable, as were the couch and chair. Loved the furnishings, especially the seashell candle holders on top of the entertainment center. I looked all over Charleston for a matching or similar set and couldn't find any. We had use of a swimming pool that was a matter of steps from the villa. The retention pond located in the back of the villa and viewable from either portion of the double deck was quite a relaxing picture as we watched schools of fish feeding during the afternoon/early evenings. Breakfast on the deck was absolutely wonderful. Tried to eat there as many mornings as possible, as long as the humidity was low enough. While there was an internet connection (wired), a wireless connection would have been more greatly appreciated as you had to stay pretty much in one location to use your computer. We were excited about the prospect of using the two bicycles on hand at the villa; however, we found them in disrepair and were unable to bike the island as we had planned. We had a great time visiting the Fresh Village and shopped in the grocery store there several times during the week. We also dined at some of the local restaurants but found those closest to the island quite pricey. The best meal we had the entire week was from a seafood restaurant named Gilligans. Great food at a reasonable price. The best meal we had all week, much better than the nationally acclaimed Hyman's Seafood establishment, which we found to be quite average, although it was nice to see what famous people had dined there. We really hated leaving the villa and Seabrook Island after our week was up. Would love to visit again next year and perhaps stay for two weeks instead of one. We would highly recommend this villa to those who may be interested in visiting Seabrook Island.

We (two adults and two 11-yr old boys) had a terrific 9-night stay in this condo in August 2009. The condo is much roomier than the pictures show, and it was very clean and comfortable. The location is terrific, and the huge pool right out back could not be nicer, or more convenient. We've stayed in multiple locations at Seabrook over the years, and we now prefer this location over all others. The condo is a short bike ride from Fresh Fields Village, a quick walk from the club house fitness center, and has good proximity to get you off the island quickly when heading up the road to Charleston, which we did quite a bit for sightseeing and to enjoy the many great restaurants. Our host Don was wonderful to work with, as he was in contact with us constantly, both prior to our visit and during to make sure everything was easy, trouble-free, and lived up to our expectations for a great, relaxing vacation. We gave Don a few tips after our visit for minor additions or improvements, and he welcomed them all, planning to get them done in the near future. We highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely contact Don to do so on our next trip to the Charleston area.

This condo unit is decorated first class and is very clean. It has a wonderful location to biking/jogging/walking trails and is a short drive to the beach. Right next to tennis center and across street from Equestrial center - super location close to restaurants/market/stores. We really enjoyed ourselves staying here.

4 night getaway on very short notice!!!!

Guest: Heatherclb (SPartanburg, SC)
Date of Stay: 04/02/09 Review Submitted: 04/14/09

I was in charge of booking my family and another couple a hotel room around Charleston the first weekend in April. On such short notice, I thought booking a nice villa/house was out of the question. I emailed a few owners around Seabrook & Kiawah Islands & immediately got a response from Don. The price was fantastic, compared to staying at a hotel in Charleston. We have a six year old, who loved the gator, the horses right across from the villa & of course, the fold out couch (which was actually comfortable.) We only booked 3 nights, but called Don on the last day & booked another night... It was hard to leave such a great place!!!!! We cooked dinner twice & the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The washer/dryer were great, considering we stayed an extra night. The deck was a great place to enjoy the surroundings or to watch the sunrise with my two month old!!! I've been going to Kiawah Island for the past 20+ years & this was my 1st Seabrook experience! I love Kiawah, but Don & Amy's place is going to make it hard to go back!

townhouse get-away

Guest: Gretchen (Loudon, TN,USA)
Date of Stay: 10/01/07 Review Submitted: 12/18/07

We were disappointed that the kitchen lacked some very basic items like a beverage pitcher, measuring cups and measuring spoons. We had to call the managers for some dish soap, laundry soap and more toilet paper. About our fourth day there we found cockroaches when we returned from being out one evening. The owners were great to let us have the use of their two bikes. We felt that they were extremely helpful. We also did not realize that the unit was on the second floor until we arrived.

Owner response:Thanks for your review. We appreciate any comments to make our guests stay more enjoyable. We have retained the service of Reliable Property Managers to insure that all details are taken care of and have the number available to our guests when they check in. Sometimes items do "walk away". In these cases please call the property manager to resolve these issues. All first floor units are elevated due to building codes (flood plain). Property manager inspection twice a month check for many items including bugs(dead or alive) and we have not had any issues with bugs. The fact that they surfaced after 4 days may indicate they entered through an open door and/or traveled in on a bag or container. Either way a quick call to the property manager will address the issue. We take pride in our property and look forward to suggestions on how to improve our guests stay. We continue to do improvements each year. Thanks Don/Amy

Dear Don and Amy, Thanks so much for a great vacation. We loved your villa. You have equipped it to the hilt, and furnished it impeccably. Before bed each night, Mike and the girls worked on that 550 pc Mexican food puzzle. How nice of you to supply games and puzzles! We enjoyed the Beach Club, North Beach, and all of the amenities you made available to us. We went into Charleston often, and the recommendations you made in regard to what to do and where to eat were much appreciated. You weren't wrong on a single thing. Chez Fish was great, although not exactly kid friendly food-wise but we loved it, and we enjoyed AW Shucks a lot, too. Best meals were at Sticky Fingers and Charleston Crab House. We did all of the touristy things...carriage ride through town, Fort Sumpter, Patriot's Point, the Market, and had a blast. We went to a Riverdogs game, too, and that capped off a perfect week. On the way home, we hit Rosebank Farms for goodies to take home...peaches and South Carolina Barbeque sauce. It really was a great week, in spite of the inconvenience on Sunday/Monday. Thanks, again, for making our first South Carolina experience such a pleasant one. Rose, Mike, Emily and Elizabeth
