  What a wonderful week we were able to spend at Netarts! Crabbing, walking the beach, hiking, visiting nearby cities, and just overall relaxing. Being from the South we were looking forward to cool beach weather and we enjoyed every bit of it (we think cool weather is about 70-75 degrees!). Very particular as it relates to accommodations when we are travelling, we were not disappointed at all. Throughout the rental process Nick (owner and manager), was thorough and attentive. The townhome had everything you could ask for and was spotless. I am surprised that they would even rent such a lovely place out to strangers, but I am sure glad that I was able to benefit from it. We will be back next year…same time, same place. A wonderful trip to a little known slice of heaven!

  Our stay here was fantastic. It was the best rental we have had at Netart's Bay and we have been going here for over 35 years. We had 7 adults and everyone was comfortable. This was also the first place that had enough hot water. Everything was clean and comfortable and spacious. The view was great. If I had any suggestions at all it would be just one, and that would be to build a step going into the jacuzzi tubs. It was hard to get in and out of. Anyone elderly or with a disability has a real hard time. Other than that, we look forward to staying here again. An excellent place to stay.

  The house was amazing and the view...incredible. We were celebrating my niece's college graduation so we had a fairly big group: 9 adults and 2 kids: 6-yr-old and 7-month-old. The house was perfect for our group with enough space to relax and not be packed in on top of one another. The kitchen was a dream to work in, more than enough space for everyone to help and so well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the dining room table as it made it easy for everyone to eat together. The elevator came in handy to transport everything up and down. We found the house very clean and well maintained. The full bathroom upstairs on the living area level was such a great asset for the folks who slept up there on the sofabed. The owners were easy to work with and very helpful. It was a wonderful place to celebrate, we all wished we could stay longer. Thanks for making a special occasion even better!

  We have had a family beach gathering for the last five years, and this has been the most beautiful, well equipped house we have found! The view is awesome, the close proximity to the beach was perfect, and the owners were very cheerful, friendly and helpful. The layout of the rooms was wonderful. Someone could be in the living room, a separate group at the roomy dining table, and another group in the kitchen. We didn't feel like we were all on top of each other. Our group totaled 15, but more people would have worked fine too. Love the elevator! We celebrated my mom's 89th birthday here, and the elevator helped her to enjoy the celebration and view upstairs, but retreat to the quiet 2nd floor bedrooms when she needed to rest. The hardest part for her was the 5 steps leading up to the elevator on the ground floor. A couple of suggestions: We loved the hairdryers in all the bathrooms! It would have been nice to know the house was equipped with them ahead of time so we didn't have to pack ours. Also, we really didn't find much for BBQ utensils, so unless we overlooked them, a metal spatula and tongs would be nice. Thanks to owners Lynn and Nick for the beautiful retreat. No one wanted to leave! We highly recommend the Netarts Sand Castle. We'll be back!

  We enjoyed this beach stay very much. Only two suggestions for the house. Reading lights in the bedrooms and a small hand held mixer in the kitchen would be great additions. Great location, nicely furnished and we were very comfortable.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

We are located right where the Pacific Ocean meets Netarts Bay. Crabbing, clamming, fishing, beach combing, sunsets on the beach with bonfires at night...just steps from the front door from your luxury living. Custom built luxury: The Netarts Sand Castle is the only single family home in Happy Camp with its own private elevator and includes master suites with jacuzzi's, floor-to-ceiling windows for panoramic Ocean & Bay views, WiFi, Outdoor grill on the deck, cook while you take in the Ocean views and sounds and so much more...life is good!

  If I could give the Netarts Sand Castle 10 stars, I would. This is my third time enjoying a relaxing get-away here with family. During this particular visit, we had 8 people comfortably staying, ranging in age from 2 years to 90 years old. This home is beautifully accommodating with an elevator, carpeted stairway, comfortable beds and furniture. There were no worries in regards to safety or mobility for anyone...great-grandchildren to great-grandmothers :) We dined like kings and queens, from the easy access in catching an abundance of crab, to cooking great meals in the elite kitchen with all the amenities that anyone could ask for. I look forward to my next opportunity to share this lovely home with family and friends. Thank you so much to the owners for building a place to create great memories.

  We loved watching the light and storms coming in on the horizon while the tide filled and emptied the bay like a bathtub. The kitchen was nicely appointed and the finishes/appliances were all new... Plenty of privacy. Great beds and linens. Lots of towels. TWO jetted bathtubs (although only enough hot water to fill one). Very clean. Well maintained and stocked with the necessities for cooking local crabs... and spices for your favorite recipes. And BTW, we loved the Schooner restaurant in Netarts... Finally a great spot to eat. Nick the owner is great to work with. It would be a great place to take our parents or another couple with kids. Thank you! We'll be back.

  We rented for the weekend of my husband's 50th birthday and hosted a suprise party for him there. 6 of us spent 3 nights, but we had 20 just for the party and everybody who came wants to stay there now too - the description and pictures simply do not do this home justice. The view is just spectacular and sunset was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was super easy to cook in and had every gadget we needed, including a grill on the balcony right off the kitchen. Hosting a party there was awesome and having the beach and balcony's to rest and relax on the next day was even better. We can't wait to go back!

  This house lives up to all the expectations with a couple of exceptions. What all the others above said, we second. It is beautiful and super clean! We stayed here 3 nights with 6 adults and a little one. A couple of considerations... while the elevator makes is so easy for us older folks with disabilities, the bathrooms are not disabled friendly. I can understand the owner's reluctance to clutter up all that pretty tile with grab bars but I had a hard time in the bathrooms. I have some of those suction cup handles sold at Bed Bath and Beyond and luckily I had those with me so I could use one on the tub. However, they do not adhear to shower surfaces like those in this house so I could not use them in the beautiful showers. My husband had to be close by while I showered. Either invest in these handles, or don't stay here if you need assistance in getting up and down, in and out in the bathroom. Also, towels were restricted to one bath towel per person. We had to either wash towels or each use the same one the whole stay. We concluded that there is no A/C. This could have been overcome by opening windows on the top floor but the windows open next to the floor and this was not acceptable with the little one all over the place until bedtime. So we never used the fireplace because the living area was always too warm despite the cool, foggy weather. When we retired at night, we opened all windows and doors on the sleeping level to cool off the bedrooms except for where the little one slept. We hesitated to do that in the living level due to worries about rain blowing in on the beautiful floors! We had to make adjustments because our little one is very active. HE loved the whole place, the large area on the living level to play in, the bunk bed, (we took the ladder down), even the elevator! He loved the deck so we had to keep the door closed. We used a chair and some luggage to block the steep stairs so he couldn't fall down them. There are games to play that the owners provided. He loved those too so we had to put them away. We had brought plenty of his own toys so he was busy and happy without the games for older kids. The gourmet cooks loved, loved the kitchen. So, over all, we loved it and will be back, just take those handles with us and a few of our own towels, just in case..... I gave this place 4-1/2 stars because of the disability problems in the bathrooms. Otherwise it would have been a 5+.
