We were in a group of 10 travelling from Canada and I have to say that our visit at the Rathellen House was truly amazing - the owners of the home could not have been more helpful in making sure that our stay was enjoyable and relaxing - their home is beautiful and had all the conveniences that you would every need - we all had our own private bath and bedroom - we also had a wonderful night of fine dining, the meal being prepared by the owners. The home is centrally located so we were able to do day trips and not feel that we were rushing from one spot to the another - I would highly recommend this home for anyone making a trip to Tipperary county and also if you would like a weekend away this would be a location that you would find very relaxing and enjoy a lovely meal without having to leave the residence - Thanks to the owners for making our stay a pleasure - look forward to visiting again in the future

The Longs were nothing short of wonderful, accommodating and gracious hosts during our stay at Rathellen House. Our large group could not have picked a better place to stay for our four days in beautiful County Tipperary. Rathellen House is centrally located for day trips, or a walk into town, and local Bansha Bus Company handled all of our transportation needs. Eamonn, a Ballymoe-trained chef, prepared a delicious evening meal of local and traditional fare, and wonderful full Irish breakfasts each morning...absolutely delectable! I would recommend Rathellen House, and hosts Eamonn and Stella, to anyone wishing a fabulous stay in Ireland. Thank you, Eamonn and Stella!!

Our group of 12 selected Rathellen House because of its location - central to all the things we wanted to visit on our day trips. We also wanted a place where we could all stay together, in more of a home-style setting. The house itself is beautiful with large, well appointed rooms. There is a wonderful living room and dining room on the first floor that provided us with great opportunities to gather. Each bedroom has an excellent en-suite bathroom. But my favorite thing about Rathellen House was the warm hospitality provided by the owners, Stella and Eamonn. During the planning stages of our trip they were extremely helpful putting us in contact with a bus company for our transportation needs, giving us restaurant and sightseeing suggestions, etc. We asked for "add on" services such as snacks and drinks on our touring bus, appetizers in the afternoon, etc. and they came through with flying colors. On our first night, we hired Eamonn to prepare us a traditional Irish dinner - it was more spectacular and delicious than we could have imagined. The charm of the house, the ideal location for day trips (Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Gallway, Killarney...) and the incredible hospitality make the Rathellen House the perfect place - especially for a group.

Stella and Eamonn Long are fabulous hosts for this equally fabulous house. As a group of 14 family and friends of three generations, we rented the entire house for a week. The accommodations exceeded all of our needs. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are large, and the showers good and strong. The heated mirrors that don’t fog were a nice added touch. The common areas were well appointed and comfortable and we felt right at home. The professional kitchen was a delight to work in. After extensive internet research on houses for rent in Ireland, we chose Rathellen House because of the facilities offered and the very reasonable price. The location of the house is convenient for southern Ireland. Members of our group went to Kinsale, Cashel, Adare, Bunratty, Lismore, Waterford, and the Berea peninsula while staying at Rathellen House. Stella and Eamonn helped us plan a day trip to the Dingle peninsula for the whole group which included hiring a bus, planning the tour and even arranging for restaurants for all 14 of us. The help we had from Stella and Eamonn before and during our trip made this a memorable holiday for all of us. They treated us as friends. We hope to return. We give Rathellen House our highest recommendation.
